This was a really fun tour and we had a blast. The tour started with hotel pickup so you don't have to worry about finding the location or parking. After given safety and driving instructions, we headed off to Red Rock Canyon. The ride is quite exhilarating, being on the open road with wind in your face and hair surrounded by visually stunning scenery. There were several stops throughout the canyon for quick walks and picture taking. What made our tour was our guide Leo, who was lively, humorous and upbeat. It's a nice short getaway from the hustle and bustle of the strip and gambling. I highly recommend this tour. read more

Excellent! Leo was our tour guide and we couldn't have asked for a better leader! Chose the 8 am tour (they also have a noon one). A tour bus picked us up (and dropped us off) from/at our hotel. During the time we were on our way to "base" where the cars are lined up. Leo told us a little history about the town and some interesting places. It took about 20 minutes until we go to the base, and he explained how the process works, how to drive the cars, etc... The cars can go fast but you'll be doing 30 mph Max (if so). You'll be driving in bicycle lanes all the way up to the High Point, and you'll stop in 4 different spots along the way!! One thing I wish there was available would be bathrooms at base. The only bathrooms in our stops were the second stop and the last stop, and those are public restrooms, no need to say more! The second stop (after you get to base and drive) actually has a nice rest area with gorgeous back drops - perfect for Instagram (lol). Check the pic we took. This is the best social distancing activities and it's a great way to see the nature. Go in the 8 am slot tho...bring sunscreen and water will be provided in the second stop, however bring your own anyways. Highly recommend Leo and this tour. read more

We did this tour in January and it was nice weather. Sunny BUT, very windy. I suggest a hat or scully to cover your ears. Sunglasses...very sunny and possible dust from the road (we were not on dirt roads but paved fyi)...and the mask came in handy due to the wind. Otherwise a face covering as If you were ATV'ing. And bring a jacket. It gets really cold the higher you go up on addition to the wknd. We were picked up from our hotel on the strip and had a great drive with Leo. Very fun scenic and informative. We were giving great instruction on how to drive them. (Helmets and buckled) We were driving with traffic at times so if you can't drive on a normal day in a car, go with someone that can lol. We stopped a few times to take pictures and walk the canyon. I'm curious so I asked about wildlife and was told at certain times of the year there are tarantulas, snakes, etc. but needless to say I didn't see any. Lol. There are others he said but I think they are more so in the canyons you can see from a distance. The views seemed like a scene from a movie. It was an awesome experience and I would suggest you go. Arranged pick-up at our hotel on the strip and once arrived, the rest was history. Our cute little Scoot vehicle was waiting on us to head over to Red Rock Canyon. I must admit, when we headed out on to regular traffic with these scooter cars, I felt like a guinea pig. This is the best way to see red rock...guided tour thru the beautiful red rock while enjoying the scenery. There are stops along the way to take pictures, hike alittle, and back on the scooters for some fun driving or hanging out as a passenger. There are about 5 stops so you can switch drivers which is nice so both of you can enjoy driving the scooters. Johnny and Todd were awesome guides. Glad Groupon introduced us to Scoot City! I would love to spend an hour or two hiking (but not my husband, so this made us both happy), but we had about 20 mins. That was a highlight of the trip besides the great motor cars. Todd, Cody and the people in our group made it even more fun. They picked us up right at our hotel and told great stories. I would have eliminated one stop except for the fact that when we stopped they showed us things and were such fun guys that I didn't mind. They gave us sunglasses and blankets and we needed both - it was cold and windy but still fun. They also had water but you could bring your own too. People took pictures of us and gawked as we sped by almost like we were a tourist attraction. The best part is we zipped along in the bike lane on regular roads on the way to the canyon. IF YOU GO: WEAR SUNSCREEN. Even if it is cold. BRING SNACKS. The stop at the visitor's center has hardly anything to eat. It's 5 hours long. We ate a big breakfast before and got back in time for dinner. You will probably get hungry. BRING SUNGLASSES. They have a pair for you if you forget but it's nice to have your own. If it's not summer bring layers. It was the beginning of April. I wore a jacket and scarf plus we had the blanket they gave us. Any less than that and I would've been too cold in the shade. I'd love to do a tour like this in Southern Utah. I think the scenery would be even more beautiful. Still, I'd do this tour again and recommend it. read more

A few weeks back we did the Red Rock Canyon tour and it was awesome. This was a gift for my husbands birthday, and I got the groupon so it was an even better deal for a very fun morning. We started by meeting up with our tour guides at the place that they keep the scooters. They do hotel pick-ups (and it sounds like they keep things fun during those too) but we are local, so we just met them there. They had all the scooters out and after a brief explanation of how to get into the scooters, they let you pick which one you want. Then you get a much more thorough explanation of how to operate them, where you are going, how you are getting there, what to do if you get separated on the way...pretty much anything that comes up. The guides we had were very funny and kept everything light and entertaining which was great. Once you get into Red Rock, you stop at a few places and one of the guides gives a little speech about the history and fun facts, etc. Still very entertaining even for locals who have already been there. Then you get a little time to walk around and take pictures. After the first stop you go back to your scooter and water bottles have magically appeared in your seat, which is very appreciated at that point as you have realized it is a little hot and you are smiling so much from the ride, you may have added a little grit to your teeth ;-) Riding in the scooters is a TON of fun, I just loved it. My husband drove, but he seemed to really enjoy it too, even with not being able to just watch the scenery fly by. They are very simple to operate and with one tour guide leading in front of the group, and one bringing up the rear, you don't have to worry about getting left behind if anything happens. We had a blast. My husband I were in Las Vegas for an anniversary celebration and I decided to book this tour mainly so we would see something different from the normal LV Strip. Plus my husband was reluctant in going to Vegas since he is a outdoorsy mountain man type. This was perfect in satisfying both counts! It was something different and outdoorsy. Garrett our tour guide picked us up at our hotel right on time and entertained us on the drive to get the cars. We had a brief safety overview, choose our cars and hit the road! My husband drove the entire time so I can't comment on the handling of the little cars, but he said it was fine, no big deal. Like a motorcycle with the gas handle. Just a short jaunt through a neighborhood/subdivision of L.V. and onto the Canyon. The tour guides were very careful and always had safety in mind but it wasn't so repressive that you couldn't have a little fun in your scoot car. Garrett was full of information about Las Vegas and really seemed to love his job. We enjoyed him and his knowledge the entire time. Once we hit the canyon park there were several stops for photos and a short hike if you were inclined. We were not, since it was heating up, the hike was all uphill coming back and you only had about 15 minutes to get down the canyon and back up again... not that we couldn't have done it, I think most can make it, but we wanted to be able to have more time if we were going to hike down there. Just didn't want to exert ourselves so much in the heat, get all sweaty.. you get the picture :). The Red Rock Canyon was beautiful, stunning at points, very different. There is a picture opportunity everywhere you look. It quite reminded me of Mars really. Or what I suspect Mars looks like. The landscape and fauna are all very interesting. And with Garretts knowledge of the area, plants, hikes and area history we got the full experience. He was wonderful! They are doing some work on the roads so in the future the driveability will be even better. My husband is in the field of road building so it that was interesting to him as well. My friends and I decided to leave the bright lights and sounds of Vegas behind for a different type of adventure and Scoot City did NOT disappoint! Scoot City will pick you up at your hotel and drive you to your cute little cartoon cars. It takes about an hour but well worth the drive. It was so much fun and a totally relaxing adventure through the beautiful Red Rock State Park. The views were amazing! Bring your cameras as you will want to bring back shots of this scenic park. We had a wonderful tour with Scoot City Tours. Easy booking experience and the hotel pick-up and drop-off services were outstanding. The pickup was on time. We were given a detailed safety briefing and instructions on how to operate the scooters before we launched off. The scooters themselves were comfortable and surprisingly peppy for their small engine size (50cc). The tour itself was wonderful - after jumping in the scooters and a 15 minute ride on local streets we w entered Red Rock Canyon park and our tour began. There were multiple photo stops and breaks for restrooms along the way. The toad through the park was smooth and easy to navigate. Our guides were fun and informative and were always available at the stops to snap pictures of our group. After the short 15 minute drive back to the start point we turned in our helmets and were taken back to our hotel. So...happened to find out about these guys by chance. We were at IKEA and I yelped "tourist attractions" that happened to be nearby because we were staying on the opposite side of town at the M Resort. This popped up, read the reviews, checked Groupon, and booked for our last day in Vegas! The Groupon made it $199 instead of the $250 for 2 people but like others have said, it would've been worth the full price. We met them at their "headquarters" and was immediately greeted by one of their guys. He explained the process clearly and was incredibly friendly. Once everyone got there, we did a quick tutorial and headed over to Red Rock. So, a couple of tips: - Even at the end of February, it is REALLY cold. Dress appropriately. The guides themselves had ski masks and thick jackets on. 50 degree weather + wind + traveling at 30-35 mph = HELLA COLD. - Bring sunglasses to avoid anything flying into your eyeballs. - Bring extra accessories for the cold: beanie, blankets. They provided this which was amazing but if you've got some, don't hesitate to bring them. - Use the bathroom at the first stop...cleanest bathrooms for the rest of the trip. - Wear comfy shoes if you plan to hike to some scenic spots at the 20 minute stops. - Bring some cash to tip the guides after...they deserve it. At first glance, it seems cheesy and uncool. While it was mainly older people on the tour, the guides were young and relatable to everyone. It's a unique way to experience Red Rock. A great way to spend 5 hours! First off, I got a groupon deal for $125 for 2 people. Regular price was $125 a person. (I probably would have paid full price for the tour.) They pick you up at pretty much any hotel on the strip. There's two times during the day (morning and afternoon). We did the afternoon tour, and they picked us up at Treasure Island. There was only another couple, and they picked them up at the Westin. They picked us up around 12:30pm. The shuttle driver was a young, motorcycle dude. He was very friendly and talkative. He then drove us to this storage area parking lot, where Eli, our tour guide was waiting for us. They go over the liability stuff and take some pictures for us ... then we're off! The car itself was really easy and fun to drive. I actually, however, enjoyed being a passenger more. We then drive through the town and head to Red Rock Canyon. Your fee to Park is included in your Scoot City Tour fee. We take a stop at the visitor center, where you can have a bathroom break and look at some of the exhibits. (NOTE: This is where the cleanest bathrooms are!) We then head off through the canyon and stop at 3 stops to sight see. At each stop, Eli would talk to us, take our pictures, and wipe down our seats (to make sure they didn't burn us). After we left the park, we stop at Terribles Gas Station to gas up and get cheap cigarettes or booze. Eli dropped us off at our hotel around 5pm. We tipped him $10. I think average tip ranges from $10-$20. We would have tipped him more if we weren't so broke. Overall, great way to spend a day, driving in skittles across the canyon! read more

Let me start this review off by saying that Scoot City is freakin' amazing! Highly recommended for anyone whose going to Vegas. Gorgeous views. Great guides. Fun scooters. Go! Now! The day started off when our tour guide, Jonathan, texted my girlfriend letting us know that he was outside our hotel lobby to pick up our group of 6. He drove us down to their headquarters where they has the scooters parked in rows waiting for us. We each paired up and picked our scooters. My girlfriend and I got one with the Union Jack on the windshield. They were awesome. Jonathan, joined by the other guide Justin, gave us a rundown of safety rules and showed us how to turn our scooters on and off. It's all very simple and driving the scooters is nice and easy. After a few minutes of getting used to it, I was zipping along with the wind through my hair. Once we started rolling, we went through some local roads. We would often have people honk at us with wide smiles and we would honk back. We reached a scenic byway, where we had to drive in the bike lane. The bike lane was pretty narrow and it was a little freaky when cars would pass on our left side. But after a few minutes of that, you get used to it. We entered Red Rock Canyon park and the tour started to get really fun and amazing. The roads started winding up and around the rocks, making driving these scooters a blast. The views were unparalleled. My girlfriend was next to me clicking away on her camera, taking as many pictures as possible. We made 3 stops throughout the tour. I forgot where exactly they were, but they all had gorgeous views. We were at each stop for around 10-20 minutes. I wish that were at the stops for a little longer. At one stop, we hiked down the side of a hill and jumped on one of the bigger boulders we saw. It was fun, but hiking back up the hill was torture. I'm fat, so maybe that was it. When we got into our scooters, Justin would give us a brief overview of the trip that was ahead of us to the next stop. Letting us know if it was uphill, downhill, if there were any obstacles we should look out for. They made me feel really safe and really prepared. Speaking of prepared, we went on this tour in the end of February, and we were not prepared for the cold. Luckily, they offered blankets to keep us as warm as we could. I would highly recommend bringing a hat, gloves and something to protect your face from the wind that will be smacking you in the face. Once we drove through the park hitting those 3 stops, we drove back to the headquarters going back through the scenic byway and local streets. We all hopped in a van and Jonathan drove us back to the hotel. Like I said in the beginning of the review, Scoot City is amazing and one of the best tours I have ever been on. Book your tour now! I had a really disappointing experience with Scoot City. My family also had groupons and had scheduled our tour several months in advance. We were staying off strip so the shuttle was not available but that was fine because we had a rental. I called them in the morning to check in on the meeting location for our tour later that day around 1pm. He said that he would text me the location. He never did. We drove out closer to the park so that we would be closer to the starting location and called them 10-15 times always going to a machine. My guess is that they overbooked giving priority to full paying customers because we saw the group later that day. It looked like a lot of fun but this experience will prevent me from trying them or ever recommending them to another person. read more
