I am very pleased with the results on my legs. Dr. Sagar Patel, vascular surgeon @ Vein Restoration, treated the main veins in my legs after an ultrasound indicated venous insufficiency. When Dr. Patel's treatment was over, he recommended Susan Reed, schlerotherapist, for treatment of my spider veins. I am very pleased with the results & I'm happy I had my veins treated. It's so nice not to see the purple ropey veins in my legs. I'm conscientious & careful not to stand in one spot for long periods of time due to achiness in the legs & I'm faithful about wearing my support knee-highs (20-30 mmHg) every day. My support knee -highs make me feel like I have a 2nd pair of legs. I'm considering purchasing 20-30 mmHg colorful, compression knee-high socks to wear with shorts for the summer & start a new trend & fashion statement for all of us with venous insufficiency. Do not go here. They made a mess of my legs. I went here for a simple procedure and they told me that I had vein disease and would need several visits. After 8 visits, my legs were getting all kinds of new veins that I never had. I also was getting red splotching and the original vein that I went to correct was the same. I questioned them, they said my insurance was good for several more visits....hum...I decided to go elsewhere and was told by my new Dr. that I did not have the vein disease plus he corrected some of the bad work from VEIN Atlanta and also got rid of the vein that I wanted taken care of originally in one visit. VEIN Atlanta really messed up my legs. When you go to a vein Center, you do not expect to look much worse. There was no reason for the several visits and they billed my insurance a ton! read more

Very Disappointed with Unsatisfactory Results! I'm disappointed with my legs after being treated at Vein Atlanta! In fact, my legs looked better in appearance before I started the Vein Atlanta recommended treatment procedures which began in June 2016 with my last visit being in November 2016. During my last office visit on November17, 2016, I informed Dr. Prevosti that I was very disappointed with the results of my legs. There were no visible spider and/or varicose veins removed from my legs after months of treatments that Vein Atlanta recommended. In fact, the Vein Atlanta recommended treatment procedures made my legs visible worse in appearance! I informed Dr. Prevosti that my legs looked visible better in appearance prior to the Vein Atlanta recommended treatment procedures. And I had come to Vein Atlanta to see at least spider veins completely removed from my legs. Also during my last office visit at Vein Atlanta, I advised Dr. Prevosti to clearly tell his future patients that his goal is primarily to close their abnormal veins to prevent further spider and/or varicose veins, I have concluded that after doing a long daunting vein treatment plan recommended by Vein Atlanta for my legs, I loss time, effort and money with results that were both disappointing and unsatisfactory to say the least! read more

This is for my 79yr old mother - after seeking treatment with Dr. James Forger, because of severe pain in both legs. My mother (who had no idea what yelp is) made sure to request that I post a positive review. After a week of surgeries, she came out with a good prognosis, and she is now pain-free. Disappointed and alarmed Voiced my concerns regarding the placement of steri strips after procedure He dismissed my concern as would not have made a difference in the amount of bleeding or oozing after the procedure. The medical industry would disagree. The office politics and gossip and disparaging comments about the doctor are discussing. Very disappointed I requested that a specific "technician not work on me after having wrong or miss placement of steri strips. While I was on the table having the procedure Dr P how wrong I was rather than him checking the work of his disgruntled employee. This practice may look good on the surface BUT handling bloody gauze without gloves or wrapping a post surgery without gloves. I could go on on my personal experience. read more

I recently visited Dr. Prevosti for radiofrequency ablation and ambulatory phlebectomy. I've read the posted reviews and am not seeing or hearing any of the issues that have been reported. I'm 5 days post-op and couldn't be happier with the whole experience. I can't report on the long term results, but don't anticipate any complications. Mine was a complicated case as I'm on blood thinner for a blood clotting disorder. Dr. Prevosti was cognizant of the risk of coming off blood thinner and I felt confident that he was monitoring me closely. Everyone at the Atlanta office were awesome and I felt like I was in good hands. Was the actual procedure pleasant? Well, of course not. I would have much rather had a massage. You know, I really can't say enough good things. I came to them at a very low point in my life from another practice that misdiagnosed me. Dr. Prevosti and Dan really listened to me when I told them something was not right with my body. They were 100 percent spot on. The physician and PA are brilliant, kind and responsive to all questions and concerns. Yolanda and Michelle in the front are always so nice and appointments are easy to make. They have excellent hours and have always gotten me in quickly. Michelle, the RVS, is skilled, patient and kind. Thank you Vein Atlanta for all you have done. I am the poster child for what can go wrong. Apparently, from online sources, there is a 1% chance of getting a DVT from a radiofrequency vein ablation procedure of the great saphenous vein (http://www.veindirectory.org/question/can-endovenous-laser-ablation-give-me-deep-vein-thrombosis-87). I got the DVT (which showed up a couple months later). Very painful - had to be on crutches for about a week and had to be on blood thinner for nearly 3 months. In addition, over a year later, I have what I believe (and another primo vascular doctor believes) is nerve damage in both feet (I didn't have it before the procedure, so I have to believe it happened then, but I do not know this for SURE). Get a second medical opinion if you are told you must have your veins ablated. Also, ask VeinAtlanta for liability paperwork two weeks before your procedure so that you can read and absorb ALL the risks. I had an iPad put in front of me to sign minutes before the procedure. Not exactly time to weigh the risks. Also, if they tell you they are going to get rid of your spider veins, get that IN WRITING from them (as I have many of mine that I had prior to the procedure). I was assured they would take care of "most of" them. I was a bad candidate for great saphenous vein ablation. I had very minor issues prior, and was convinced I had harmful veinous reflux even though I had just gone in for a couple of very minor bulging veins in calf area and a few spider veins. It's been over a year. I have no idea if I will get better (but I won't be getting more vein procedures at VeinAtlanta). Be advised. Two years later - Gained NOTHING (except maybe a very few spider veins gone) from my procedures. read more

Wish I had read the one star ratings before I went here. My experience is the same as Emma W. Thanks to her for the complete review. The cost was high above what the insurance paid. Plus they charged for a 2nd follow up appointment to "confirm" the lack of results from the 1st follow up. I ignored the payment as a mistake by them. Then they sent my account to collections for $50.00!!! After the procedure, I have swollen ankles and foot pain. My spider veins have not improved & I still have very tired legs. I am less than 50 years old & this should not have happened. Get different opinions before you go here. It looks like they want to do the procedure anyway. After completing an ultrasound with the very competent Dr. Prevosti, the patient advocate at Vein Atlanta and now Center for Vein Restoration took on my approvals for insurance. For weeks the approval was not sent in to my insurance and when insurance denied the procedure, she insisted they would appeal and there would be no issues. Months later my insurance had no record that an appeal had been submitted. In fact, she insisted that they appealed twice and even did a peer to peer review, which, again my insurance has no record of. After countless emails and calls with no response, it is safe to say that this clinic and specifically this patient advocate could absolutely not care less about scheduling these procedures. Ultimately, this has been the worst medical experience to date in which I am out a considerable amount of money, lost almost five months in this process, and have been left feeling like my health is their lowest priority. read more

My recovery was easy and, although the procedures required several visits for completion, I am pleased that I elected to have the surgeries done. I was disappointed with the results I had .I spent a lot of money on procedures that seem to be worse than they were there Before,probably a good place for minor vascular problems but I had severe.now my ankles swell up in my calf is hard like a rock when I asked the PA he just kind of just Write it off and said it'll be like that the rest of my life.I'm sure the PAs a good money maker but not in my book. read more

Fantastic Experience!!! Dr. Prevosti & his staff are absolutely wonderful. I was unfamiliar with the procedure & had many questions. The staff as well as the Dr. was extremely patient and spent as much time as I needed explaining procedures to me. I felt very comfortable since Dr. Prevosti is a cardiovascular surgeon & has years of experience! I chose to have extensive work done to my veins, not only was it painless but my legs have never looked or felt better. Dr. Prevosti is an exceptional doctor. Too bad his staff bring him down. With the exception of one young female I felt as if all the other females were derogatory and negative towards each other and I felt left unattended at times. The only young man working there was my 'lifesaver'. From his comforting words to his bedside manner and his genuine appreciation and love for his work, I greatly appreciated him and how he treated me. He and Dr. Prevosti were wonderful and made it all worth it. read more
