Colorist -- Very experienced colorist who selected the perfect combination for a half head of foils. She also sectioned perfectly to accommodate my hairline. Plus, she made some recommendations which suited my hair type brilliantly. Stylist -- A young stylist who impressed me. He made great choices that suited my hair type and face, but didn't stray outside my comfort zone. Bonus points for not pressuring additional product sales on me and for asking me if I wanted them to call me a taxi (which I did) - way to predict my needs. They have standard hours, open 9am to 5pm most days, until 9pm Thursday's and until 4pm Saturday's, not open Sunday. They do any style you would like, I've seen people come in and have all their hair cut off, others gone from dark to light, some with intricate designs. I have waist length hair and every time I come I let the girls style my hair however they like which they all enjoy. You can see them wracking their brains to try to come up with something new and exciting. I've been here when plenty of kids come through and they usually are able to keep them entertained while getting their hair done, either by changing the channel on the tv or having one of thee other girls distract them. As a regular myself I've noticed they have a ton of other regulars. I would highly recommend everything come to this salon.

Noddy's is one of the few places I have been where the hairdressers do what you actually ask for... I've been here quite a few times and have had a few different hairdressers - they've all been helpful and patient. I'm particularly grateful to one staff member who talked me down off the metaphoric ledge when I declared I wanted to turn my dark brown, undamaged hair blonde (I'd had a bad week...). Coffee, tea and magazines are all plentiful... the shampoo and massage experience is great (mmmmm... heeeead massaaaaage...) and it's a friendly, not-so-cool-its-intimidating place. The price isn't cheap but is far from unreasonable and, so far, noone has tried to push expensive and unwanted products down my throat (a pet hate at other salons). So... on behalf of the "virgin" haired women out there (apparently my undyed/untreated hair is a virgin), I recommend a trip to Noddy's. I know a lot of people who leave their hairdressers thinking it'll be better when they get home and do it themselves, but to me the best you should feel is the moment you leave. To be fair, it may help that they have a fairly extensive alcohol menu. Only once in my years of visiting Noddy's did I have an issue. The colour they put in my hair didn't stick. In true Noddy's form when I called to tell them, they apologised profusely, fit me in the very next weekend and not only fixed it, but gave me a bunch of free treatments to take home. Although this had ended happily for many a maternal hairdresser, it has not bode well for my hair. A couple weeks back, yet again in search of a new hairdresser I happened along Hair Esteem, and decided to try my luck with another local mob. As soon as i arrived i knew that the salon must have something going for it, as it was huge yet full to overflowing with clients and staff. I was greeted by the woman who turned out to be my hairdresser, and funnily enough she was heavily pregnant, so i sat down with utter confidence that she would do a great job, and i wasn't disappointed. Not only did she ask me to show her what I meant by the colours i was naming, she went on to talk with me about how strategically placing contrast and complimentary colours in the under layers of your hair effects the overall appearance. An educated and articulate stylist who delivered exactly what she promised and then some! After being pampered with coffees and an awesome head massage during my visit, i got to walk away with Salon Perfect hair that was exactly as i had imagined it. Two weeks on the colour still looks great so i am really happy with it. Best of all, turns out the hairdresser i had owns the business so she wont be leaving it any time soon! I cant vouch for the other hairdressers, but if they are even half as good as the hairdresser i had then i would rate them good value for money. I will certainly be going back to Esteem!

I was 10 minutes late to the appointment, I apologized and said not to worry about my blow dry to make up for the time. She roughly shampooed and cut my hair, didn't bother making sure the front and back are even, so now I will be looking to get it fixed by a different salon despite paying $85 for a simple cut. She couldn't even be bothered showing me the back length, just took the towel off and walked away once she was done. The only positive was that she quickly dried off my hair when I asked instead of towel drying it, which tbh is pretty basic to do. The 'senior stylist' just seem to be annoyed the whole time I was there, like I had interrupted her day by making an appointment, there is little to no customer service. If you're looking for a new salon to try, I would avoid this place as it is completely overpriced, terrible at customer service, doesn't seem like the hairdressers have good experience and they clearly do not want new customers.
