I don't go to the students for chemical services like relaxers because I wear my natural texture…read more When I want it flat ironed straight I like going to Ogle. My tips to the stylist who worked with me today on what Ogle calls a "silk press" (wash, blow dry, flat iron) 1)start the process once your client is in the chair instead of just hanging out waiting for an instructor to sign a paper 2) ask your client what style before starting 3) don't simultaneously play and text on your phone when you're already pretty slow at each step. 4) speed and technique come with experience so pay attention to your client not your phone, Ogle is not high school. To the instructor at Arlington, try doing like the instructor at the Dallas locations and the location in Denton and INSTRUCT the students. Help them be successful. Good grief. I will not go back there.

The nice and thoughtful young lady Brianne did my haircut and I was not even assigned to her. In the old days that use to be a literal 8 hour deal for my friend and that was torture for me. . I am certainly grateful they can go from elaborate hair with those little chewing gum wrapper foils to doing a simple military hair cut. You are sadly cheaper than a military base anymore. Keep up the good work. Next time since I don't have much hair anymore going to hopefully try again to have the color of hair of my youth.

One of the instructors greeted me, signed me in, took my payment (which was only $15!!!!!). My new student cosmetologist, Janie, was professional, polite, thorough and listened to me. She gave me the most amazing message shampoo. She took her time but was efficient. She then roller set my hair to perfection! (She claims it was her first time...but I don't believe her...sorry Janie ). She was directed by one of her instructors and followed her example excellently. The instructors circulate that you feel like they really know what each student is attempting. Thank you Janie! I hope you see this! You're going to be a great cosmetologist! I've already scheduled for my next appointment! I wished I had known about them earlier!

I was told there was one person in front of me and was another 40 minutes to wait - yes after I'd waited an hour. If I knew they only had ONE person doing lashes, that should be noted on the website or at least inform me of that and that the wait would be a little longer. It was $15 but, I get what I paid for. And while I wasn't expecting perfection, some experience would've been nice. Also, they're not even set up properly to do lashes. No tables or anything - just sitting in the chair with my head cocked to the side. I'm glad I didn't get a crook in my neck because of this. I ended up with another girl doing my lashes, which fine. 2 hours later, I ended up taking them "off" because too much glue was used. I know this is a school and not a professional salon but where is the customer service?? And considering they're only open until 3 on Saturday this was unacceptable. The best part of this was the music playing in the salon.

I've never had what I would call a good experience here, but I'm okay…read morewith being a crash test dummy for students who need people to work on as long the service isn't anything can't be fixed or grown out. Yesterday was different. I'm not naming the student because she is a student and the person supervising her should have paid attention. Parts of my hair were covered in bleach for 4-5 hours because the student was trying out a technique she really was not ready to execute. I did not specifically ask for the technique. The fumes were making me sick, but I couldn't really have my hair half done and I truly thought the instructor would eventually see what was going on and fix it. WRONG When the student finally rinsed the dye and bleach out of my hair (badly and incompletely. I had massive patches of dye on my temples.), she asked me if I was pleased and I told her honestly that I was not, but that I wanted to get the services we agreed to over with so I could leave because I was feeling ill. The student (rightly) called over the instructor. The instructor refused to let things proceed unless I discussed my dissatisfaction. Apparently, you aren't allowed to think sitting in a cloud of fumes for many hours for subpar work is undesirable. I felt so sick by that point I told the instructor I was going to pay and leave. It is not my job to make a student feel better about her failure. She insisted that we have a chat, even as I emphasized that I was ill and needed to pay and leave. Eventually, I had to grab my bag and my partner, who had come to drive me home because I was too woozy from the fumes to get behind the wheel, and head to the reception desk. I told the person on duty I would like to pay my bill and leave, but that I had not received the haircut that was listed on the services for which I had signed. This is where things got fr*udul*nt. The instructor finally came to the front and demanded to talk, again. I told her I was ill and paying my bill so I could leave, again. She had the woman at the desk charge me for a haircut she knew I hadn't received. I was too sick to notice she didn't remove it from the charges. When I called the salon later that evening to make a complaint, I was called "hateful." I said nothing hateful unless the woman at the front desk meant that I didn't have a good phone number to leave for the director of the salon and would need to give her another way to contact me. I think she hung up on me while I was trying to explain WHY calling the number they have on file would be a waste of time, but I can't be sure. I would gladly have given her an email address. This morning, I called the administrator who sounds like a woman who talks to a lot of unhappy people. I told her I was content to pay for the bad service that was actually provided since it was a student, but I did not want to pay for the haircut I didn't get and I thought someone should know that the instructor was trying to detain ill clients and fr*udul*ntly telling the front desk to charge them for services they had not received. Allegedly, I will hear back from her. If not, a chargeback sounds like the only way to resolve this mess. That's unfortunate because I was ready to walk away from the situation until people started charging me for phantom haircuts and calling me hateful. [When the director said she could go back and watch video of the encounter, I just laughed. I hope she enjoys seeing what happens when she isn't there!]
