had such a fantastic experience this place is a hidden gem They did an incredible job with my color correction, cut, silk press, and full hair transformation. Everyone there was incredibly sweet, and I'm absolutely obsessed with how my hair turned out. Plus, the price was just right. Definitely going back!"

This is a thorough school and I see why I chose it over ogle! The products are better, the learning experience, and the school and location are prime. They are so thorough and you really learn!! ms. Cinda is this school's gem. She is an amazing instructor. The prices are cheap and services great and the products work. Literally loving it and the clients that I am taking are noticing major differences in their skin. Be patient if you don't get the results you're looking for because 1. Skin care takes time & 2 there are students working on you (clearly by the prices).

I normally go to Toni and Guy academy or the Paul Mitchell school for my haircuts because you're helping out the students get more experience as well as getting a quality style haircut at an amazingly low price. It was the week of Thanksgiving, so the other schools were booked but this school was open for walk ins. There weren't many people there and I think only because the normal model days start of Wednesday and that day was a Tuesday. I felt like I had the whole place to myself. Upon walking into the place, it felt pretty trendy and clean. Even the bathrooms were clean. I just needed a shampoo and haircut and I was greeted by a friendly student who was a month away from graduating. She saw the picture of what I wanted and knew immediately the plans for my hair and mapped out what her intentions were and what needed to be done and she would let me know what she did before she did it. I wanted a long graduated bob with layers and so she made sure she did a long version of it before going too short and not being able to undo it. That was very smart of her to do so. Overall I was in love with the haircut and her presence. There was a teacher there who occasionally monitored her, but she didn't really make her presence known to me or introduce herself, so I thought that it wasn't very professional on her end. Either way, I'd definitely come back if I'm in the area. I'm interested in trying out the other skincare side of the academy.

Went to the Salon Boutique Academy to have hair and makeup done for a formal holiday party with my work. I am super bad with names and cannot remember the name of the young lady who did my makeup but I am pretty sure Frankie was the one who did my hair, along with another lady. Everyone that I encountered was absolutely wonderful and welcoming. I got the Lips, Locks and Lashes spa package that included makeup, false lashes and either an updo or a curled style. The price was very reasonable ($42) especially for the awesome service I received! I was impressed with the knowledge that everyone had! Thank you guys for making me feel and look beautiful for my event!

I have never had a facial before and I will be back again and again after the facial I received! It was such a relaxing experience and you can't beat the prices here! It doesn't feel like a school, everyone was very professional and sure of their service. I had a nice glow for the next 48 hours or so. I would def recommend this salon!

Unfortunately, my experience was disappointing…read more I understand that students are there to learn, and I fully expect a learning environment. However, learning also requires humility and a willingness to listen--especially when working on someone's natural hair. The student who worked on my hair, Tatum, seemed more interested in projecting confidence than listening to the person whose hair she was servicing. I have 4C natural hair and have specific goals for retaining length and minimizing breakage. I politely explained what works for my hair throughout the process, but my input was met with resistance rather than curiosity. At one point, she even asked if I had gone to cosmetology school because I was giving guidance about my own hair. After applying a demi-color, my hair was not thoroughly conditioned, which is an important step for my hair texture. During the blow-drying process, my hair was repeatedly brushed while dry, causing unnecessary breakage that could have been minimized by properly detangling and conditioning it at the shampoo bowl first. Instead of focusing on technique, there seemed to be more attention given to casual conversation. What disappointed me most was the lack of instruction from the supervising staff. A cosmetology school should be a place where students are actively taught how to work with all hair textures, including tightly coiled 4C hair. Supervisors should be demonstrating, correcting techniques, and encouraging students to listen to clients who know their own hair. My recommendation to Ogle School is to strengthen the training of both students and supervisors when it comes to textured hair. Every client deserves to feel heard, and every future cosmetologist should graduate with the skills and humility to care for all hair types--not just the ones they are most familiar with. I truly hope this feedback is taken constructively because there is an opportunity to improve the learning experience for both students and clients.

DO NOT SEND YOUR KIDS TO THIS SCHOOL!! IT'S A SCAM!!!…read more (It is too bad you cannot put NEGATIVE NUMBERS as a score!) We sent my girlfriend's daughter to this place to learn 'the trade' in Lashes, Nails, and Hair. She was crazy excited, and she had a friend that was about to start there as well. It was a NIGHTMARE from START to (VERY EARLY) FINISH. There is ZERO STRUCTURE, no formal guidance or curriculum, and if you have a question about ANYTHING, there is never anyone to take a LIVE CALL. (You can CERTAINLY 'sign up' for school though!) They tried to start her with another class that had already been going for THREE WEEKS! (Their excuse was 'we always start students with the 'current class', even if they are 3, 4, or even 6 'modules ahead', and then 'go back' and cover the 'introductory first modules' after they completed the track. She got sick around the 3rd week and called in (so she wouldn't get everyone else sick) and the NEXT DAY they DROPPED HER and told her she had to start ALL OVER AGAIN. (Her friend got dropped as well because they changed the schedule TWO DAYS before the scheduled class, they ONLY updated their website - they did NOT contact any students, and those who 'missed' were also dropped and made to start again.) LONG, AGONIZING, STORY SHORT - we paid over $1500 in 'fees' ($1000 of that was a 'deposit' for labs and course materials). She was only there 4 WEEKS. NEVER received any 'course materials', and when asked to refund the $1000 Deposit, they said they would (back last NOVEMBER) the next week. 45 calls later (where messages were left with either a LIVE PERSON or on recording), they have NEVER RETURNED ONE CALL! We are now in the process of contacting the Better Business Bureau as well as an attorney. DO NOT SEND YOUR KIDS TO THIS SCHOOL!! IT'S A SCAM!!!

Really bad experience at the Forney location. My lash tech should not be working on clients…read morebecause she clearly did not know what she was doing. My eyes burned the entire time. When she was finally done and had me open my eyes, it felt like I had 1000 eyelashes in my eyes. It was so painful. I immediately had them remove them. Even the instructor had to apologize. Wasted three hours of my time and they don't do refunds only credit to come back. Why would I ever come back though after that traumatic experience. Wish I could give zero stars. Advice: Do not book clients with students until they are close to graduation.

Unsanitary Practices and Threats at Fade & Fellas (Carrollton)…read more I am posting this anonymously because I am genuinely shaken up and scared by how I was treated today, but the community needs to know. Yesterday, I went to Fade & Fellas for a haircut and a beard trim. When the senior barber started using the trimmer, it was hurting me, so I asked him to switch to a razor. The razor hurt even worse. It was at that point the barber admitted he had forgotten his own tools in a hurry, picked up a colleague's razor, and completely forgot to change the blade. He explicitly confirmed to me that he had been using "used blades" on my face. When I expressed my shock, the barber apologized, but the rest of the employees and supervisors immediately turned on me. When I told them I would be reporting this health violation, they began threatening and intimidating me. Using contaminated, "used razor blades" on unsuspecting clients is a major biohazard and public health risk that can transmit serious bloodborne illnesses. To make matters worse, management relies on intimidation to silence customers who catch them breaking the law. I hope the Texas regulatory boards and local Carrollton health authorities review this establishment before someone gets seriously hurt. #HealthConcerns #Safety #SafetyFirst #HealthAwareness #SafetyWarning #PublicHealth #CarrolltonTX #CarrolltonTexas #DFWNews #PublicHealth #TDLR #TexasHealth #FadeAndFellas #BarberShopSafety #ConsumerProtection #LocalNews
