I had the worst experience today at Belk. I went in to return a formal dress that I had purchased…read moreat Gainesville Belk. Shonda, the associate working the return desk, looked at the dress and found a few pieces of lint inside the bottom of the dress, and told me that she couldn't return it because it seemed, from the two pieces of lint inside, that I had worn it. I tried it on but never wore it. I do have a big dog and he may have brushed against the bottom when it was hanging on the door frame at home. I have never been treated like this. All of the tags were on it too. I demanded a manager and she called one over to me. The manager was nice, and she explained how there are certain things they must check(which I had been told already). She returned the dress for me and hinted I should have gone back to Gainesville where I purchased it. The reason I went to Bethlehem was because it was closer this time and had to be returned by the 15th of January. I have been taught that if you work with the public you do everything you can to provide service to the customer in a pleasant and helpful way. I am 76 years old and I will not be treated this way by anyone. I will have a hard time recommending Bethlehem Belk to anyone I know.

I received my $10 birthday coupon so why not use it on the sneakers! The cost of those New Balance sneakers are $74.99. Not bad considering they're $80 on New Balance website. I also grabbed a pair of socks to wear w/loafers/mules/booties. I didn't realize you get 5 pair for $14.99. There are several colors/styles. The store is very clean well stocked. I hardly ever find empty stalls. I can say if you wear a 9 or larger those sizes are slim to none. So if you see that size is available I would suggest buy it. It won't be there tomorrow:) The associates are very nice . There are 6 registers and at least 4 cashiers are there to assist you. This DSW is located next door to Kirkland's and Sprouts. Conveniently located in the Webb Ginn shopping plaza's. If you're in the area, check out this DSW. I've been to several and this is one of my favorites. All of the employees are very attentive and asked me how I was doing and what I was looking for. An awesome employee also took me to a computer that you step on and it basically gives you a report of how you walk. Based on this report you pick from a variety of shoes on the wall. You then go through the process of trying on each shoe and seeing how they feel in the color selections as well. The shoes are a little pricey, but are absolutely worth it in the long run if you value the quality of comfort. I will absolutely be going back for another pair!

I like to take advantage of their sales which they almost always have some kind of sale going on. Not only that, if you sign up for their rewards, that's a value in itself. Their selection of shoes is pretty limited but they carry lots of brands like Adidas, Crocs, Nike, Dr.Martins, and Vans.
