This review is based on the experiences expressed by my guests and my personal observations. It is not a review of the venue itself but rather the sales/booking/ manager and staff. I find no pleasure in giving less than satisfactory reviews but this experience literally brought me to tears. VENUE First, the changes in venue were unsettling for me and concerning for invited guests. In spite of the fact that we had a contract for the Venetian I was given no choice in the change in venue to the Fire Tower. COMMUNICATION Communication was great in the beginning but seemed to drop off significantly after the change in venue and payment was made. DECOR The decor was simplistic and not at a "professional" level. The Table cloths were wrinkled. There was no coordination among the arrangements in the centerpieces - they seem to have been just thrown together. FOOD The food was not presented as I ordered it and was served at the Tasting. The food was cold and kid sized portions. The service was slow and disorganized. There was a lot of waste because few guests ate the food and complained it was not what they were told would be served. some guests arrived 50 minutes after dinner was served and were told the kitchen was closed. DJ The DJ didn't perform to expectations even though we provided the music and instructed him to play certain songs. MISC. Many guests were disturbed by the fact that a dog was walking through the venue during the party. I am sensitive to the fact that he may have been a "service dog" but it was not what is expected during a private party. As a matter of fact, one of my guests asked if she could bring her pet and she was told "no pets allowed" only to come and see a dog present. I pride myself on organization, attention to detail, and excellent service above all. This experience has negatively impacted my reputation. Some guests have said they would not attend future events I host. You would not have been in business as long as you have if the experience we had was typical of the level of service you deliver. And I would hate to think that it was indicative of the lack of value that was placed on my business. I just had my daughter's fifteen's Birthday and it was amazing, the food was great, good flavor, cake was awesome, I'm still eating left overs cake. The waiters were very attentive, they did such a great job very helpful. Prize was great, great location, plenty of parking. Thank you for making my daughter's feel special on her day. This past Saturday we celebrated my husband's 50th birthday at this beautiful banquet hall. It was a surprise party which he never expected. From the moment I first met with Maggie the manager and Rafael the owner I was sold. Not only were they very professional and accommodating to all of my needs. Maggie made my vision a reality, it felt like we were really in Havana. The food was excellent, the drinks were on point but the cake, that cake was the best cake we've ever had!!! I am extremely happy with the outcome my surprise was a success and I have Maggie to thank for all of her help! I'll miss talking her now... lol so if anyone needs and wants to have an affordable, Beautiful event, don't hesitate to go to Venetian Banquet Hall and ask for Maggie!!! This review is going to be in two parts. This is going to be a long one, I want to be thorough to ensure that you make the right decision when choosing between this venue and others. I would like to start this review by stating that this is by no means the worst banquet hall to host your event. Having said that there are definitely pros and cons to this venue. So let's start this review off on the most positive note possible. PROS: *The price is fair, who doesn't love a bargain? *The food most definitely exceeded all of my expectations. Typically banquet hall food comes out room temperature and is lackluster to say the least as far as flavor goes, well I'm happy to report that was not the case at my baby shower. The food came out nice and hot, it tasted absolutely delicious and not only did I enjoy it but I actually received a ton of compliments from people who I consider to be foodies. For reference we ordered the pepper steak, Morro and yucca with mojo (very Cuban I know). As far as your food selections, you can actually speak with the banquet hall manager Isabella AKA Isa. She helped me choose the menu and I appreciated her honesty when helping me. She has seen everything ordered come through those doors.... so she knows what's good and what's not. *I would also like to mention that the service staff was phenomenal, the wait staff was attentive, the bartender was great. The MC Omar Palmetto does come at an additional charge but is well worth it. You may think you don't need an MC but trust me he made my baby shower so FUN! The photographer was also fantastic, also at an additional charge. *Now as far as the aesthetics of the location. The new owner Carlos has done a fantastic job of turning this place into A beautiful and neutral backdrop that can perfectly accommodate whatever your event dreams are. I can honestly say that my baby shower turned out beautiful and I know it was in part because of the space itself. ***Facts you should be aware of before I get to the "hairy" situations that occurred. They do offer packages to cover everything necessary to host a complete event and you can just go about adding on extras because more is more right. I did ask them to remove the centerpieces that are covered within the baby shower package because I knew that I wanted natural flowers (more on the flower in a moment). The artificial flowers that they offer are by no means cheap looking and can make a lovely centerpiece If you so choose to keep them on your package. Since I remove the centerpieces there was no credit that they can apply towards the package which is fine they 1st offered me a few extras in there place such as chargers and napkin rings. I declined them since I had my own supplies I wanted to use. So we agreed that they would let us use 3Tall and 3large vases along with the rose balls six total to be exact in place of the centerpieces. I was also told that they would allow me to use there Photo pedestal for the maternity photo that was place at the entrance. ***Now let's talk about all of the extras that we did add on at an extra charge. The linens, they were gorgeous and I was happy to do so. The brindis (toast glasses), Champagne and the raspberries were not included we provided that, ok fine. The MC and the photographer were also upgrades. All of this was fine as I just wanted to ensure that my event went off without a hitch. read more

The place is beautiful ! I had an issue because we spoke to the person in charge and they told us that everything was set up. When we spoke 3 weeks, 1 week & the day before we let them know that we are coming at 11:30 & they agreed to arrive at the time. They ended up arriving at 12pm which only gave us 1 hour to set up and we had A LOT and they kept complaining about everything & constantly telling us things, I was more worried about the time than me enjoying myself I AM NEVER EVER COMING BACK, if you are on a time frame and don't have a lot of items then sure but beyond that THIS PLACE IS A FUCKING SHIT SHOW ! read more

I recently attended a wedding reception at the Venetian Banquet Hall, and I've got to admit that when I heard of its location, I immediately expected a tacky Flagler Street quinceanera-style banquet hall. Its on the first floor of a strip mall, and once I walked in, I was pretty shocked at how pretty it was. The decor was a bit different than whats pictured on their website. I guess you can choose the color of your linens, chair covers, and floral arrangements. The food they serve here wasn't great, but the bartender served up pretty decent drinks. There's a corny fountain at the entrance, but once you get past that, it all gets better. read more

What a scam! Receipts have no company name so when you ask for a refund the owner herself says there is no proof anything was ever paid to them! Owner tells customers to find other venue if they do t like her attitude and then won't give you your money back. This new management needs to be investigated by the IRS as well as the Better Business Bureau. Offering to let someone pay cash and avoid paying sales tax is illegal in this country! read more

Shit show with a stupid unprofessional ass hat who calls himself a manager. I attended a baby shower for my friends this past Saturday and the inside was beautiful, but the "manager" was just something else. During the baby shower the "manager" would walk in with clients that were looking at the location, in the second occasion I asked him why he was there with people showing the room, he said he was the manager and he could do whatever he wanted and that he wasn't interpreting the party. I told him it was unprofessional and that he needs to stop showing the room to People while we're doing our celebrations and he was upset the mom to be. He absolutely didn't care, and refused to apologize to the mom to be. We all understand that he would come in and out to make sure everything was ok and all, but not to show the place to other people. Please look somewhere else, don't waist your time here. If I could give it a zero star I would. Oh and mom got stuck in the bathroom and when the manager was told about this, he did absolutely nothing, the bartender actually came to help and kinda fixed the issue. I have no idea where to start. The worst place and staff ever. I DO NOT RECOMMEND IT AT ALL. We did my daughter's fifteenths there and WHAT A NIGHTMARE. Just to tell you that I didn't even receive her pictures after paying SO MUCH MONEY. Please go somewhere else for any events. There's only one person to do everything. I recently attended a wedding at this HORRIBLE/unprofessional disgrace of a venue where absolutely NOTHING went as planned. The food as disgusting, the open bar was a disgrace (not enought attendants and publix brand mixers), the AC was not cooling, the flowers were 5 petty roses overshadowed by babys breath (very 1980's).
