During my visit to Florida, I think I ended up visiting about 4 times. During my visits, I purchased pre packaged peanut brittle, fresh baked cinnamon roll ($1.99), hand scooped ice cream (I believe a double scoop was $2.99), an acai bowl ($6.99) and a made fresh to order English muffin sandwich ($3.99). All of the staff was very friendly and didn't dilly dally. Everything was very good. I will definitely be visiting again when I'm in Florida.

It's just too far to go to Stickney/Clarke or way up to Honoré as the next closest! We are forced to cheat on you with now opened Sprouts, Aldi, Publix (yes I am THAT desperate that I have to get raped a Publix which is basically a BIG 7-11 and huge rip off) , or a Winn-Dixie. For vegetables, and the majority of what we buy weekly we go to Detwiler's!!! and for the rest and things not available like paper products and beverages and etc we are Costco folks. Our family had a great time at the Venice Shark Tooth Festival!…read more We found this event last minute on Sunday and decided to drive out to the Shark tooth Capital to see what it would be like. It was very busy and a little tough to find parking but once we did we couldn't believe our eyes seeing so many shark teeth! Big and small from all types of sharks and there were some beautiful wall art made with shark teeth some dipped in resin with beautiful colors it was amazing to see how celebrated these teeth were. The live music was great people were dancing having a good time. I didn't see very many food vendors maybe because venices strip has restaurants up and down but they definitely had drinks non alcoholic and alcohol. I got myself a really cool branded coconut from surfing coconut that they crack open and you can drink fresh coconut water that was cold and refreshing. And the Kids Zone was great my kids got to find their own shark teeth offered by the Venice Lions Club which they got two minutes to find as many shark as they could and when they were done they had about 10/20 shark teeth each! This was a great festival filled with very talented vendors and amazing fossils and Shark teeth I will definitely be attending next year's event!

Their Saturday market is a mix of food and artisan vendors that span three to four city blocks. We purchased a variety of produce, cold brew coffee, chicken salad and olive salads. I asked the owner (his picture is on the wall) the price. he replied $18.00 a pound. Since my daughter is only here for 2 days, I asked for a quarter pound. He asked what grind, and I told him. He ground the coffee, and handed the bag to my daughter. She said it felt like more than a quarter pound. he owner said it was a pound. I said we only ordered a quarter pound, and he said they only sold it by the pound. So I asked why he didn't tell us that when I ordered a quarter pound, and his terse reply was "you didn't ask".
