Chose the deluxe pedicure, got gel with French tips. $70. My nail tech was kind, had great attention to detail by checking in and asking me if I liked the work so far. She did so great and I was happy to get my nails done here. There's a huge selection of nail places and this one is by far a great spot and one that would visit if I'm in town again. I've been to Venetian Weston, Plantation and now Pembroke Pines and they all have the same thing in common - the nail quailty is not worth their overpriced prices. Not only that, they're not very friendly and they rush you. The girl working on my nails was not pleasant at all and spent the majority of the time I was there talking on her phone - she quite literally stopped working on my nails to answer her phone several times. I am very particular about my nails and I only do dip. For some reason, dip seems to be very difficult to have done with excellence. My natural nails are long but at times I do get them cut down. My experience has been lumpy, too thick or looking like badly done tips. Sam is the man. He is very meticulous and too his time. I hesitated to go because of the rating but I found my gem, Sam. I've been a customer here for about five to six years. More often recently because they welcome walk-ins, so I have just been showing up and get helped right away. My favorite time to go is on weekend mornings at 9am - no line, no waiting. Although the business hours show different times, they're open before or by 9am on weekends. Also, they offer eyebrow waxing service, but this is not their specialty. I have done my eyebrows here, for the convenience, multiple times and it's a hit or miss. Just like when you do your nails with different nail technicians (if you find a good one, I recommend making appointments with that person). I got my nails and eyebrows done this weekend. My nails are good. However, my eyebrows are a different story. This is not the first time my eyebrows get messed up here. While they know how to do facial hair waxing, they really don't know how to shape eyebrows. And I think I have finally learned to stop getting them waxed here. Last minute on a Friday afternoon, I needed to make an appointment for a Friday night gel manicure/pedicure. I called this Venetian nail spa and they were able to fit me in. I went in Friday night at 5:30ish and it was just starting to get busy. One nail tech started on my pedicure, she did a nice job. Made me feel very comfortable. Then it seems her regular appointment came in and she had to find another nail tech to finish my manicure. Luckily, I didn't have to wait too long for another nail tech. I was just confused because usually the same lady who starts the service is the one who finishes my service. Anyways, the nail tech who finished my manicure did a great job. I'm on week 3 of my gel manicure and they still look good. The price is pretty expensive for a gel manicure/pedicure. I paid a ridiculous amount, not what I usually pay however because it was last minute I understood and needed it. I came here for a pedicure with my Mom. She also got a manicure. Anyway, the guy who did my pedicure was courteous, but in a rush. I have been here about four times and this ALWAYS happens!! It is very irritating. I am there to relax. I really do not pamper myself often, so when I go, I want to enjoy and have fun. He massaged my feet and legs so quickly, in such rapid motions...it felt very odd. I did not enjoy the massage although I mormally love it. My pedicure lasted 22 minutes. This seems pretty fast to me. The nail polish on my big toes does not seem to go to the base of the nail. I keep getting lured back here by the beauty of this place. I knew walking in this would happen. It always does. I cannot put the blame just on them. It is my fault for going back....but it was convenient because we were eating dinner in Pembroke Gardens. Very disappointed. I went in 10 days ago and the guy doing my pedicure was so rough during the scrubbing, he actually cut and scraped off a layer of my skin. All employees wore masks and there was someone constantly walking around cleaning and wiping down surfaces. The service was also great! Where to begin? I booked a pedicure and manicure for myself and a pedicure for my daughter. We arrived about five minutes before our appointment and were picking out colors for our nail polish. Both of our nail techs were waiting anxiously. We both felt very rushed. I noticed most of the bottles were half or less than half full. I know at home when I do my nails that means the polish is thick and not as fresh as the first half of the bottle. I tried to find a color I liked with a bottle that was more full. This was very challenging since most of the bottles were less than half full or half full. Finally, we picked our polish and went to get our pedicures. The lady who did my pedicure was thorough and did a pretty good job. She did not say much but worked to make sure my pedicure was going well. When the pedicures were complete, my daughter went to go pay for the services and this is where things go south. The lady who was doing my pedicure walks away. She does not say goodbye. I said, "Excuse me, are you the person doing my manicure?" She gives me a look like I am delusional. I wasn't sure if she was doing the manicure or if it was someone else. Nobody told me. So, she says come with me. Well, she rushed through the whole manicure. At the end, she walked away sort of angrily. I am assuming she did not think she was doing a manicure for me and maybe was expecting to go home. I am not sure but that is not a way to treat a customer. I actually had to walk after her and tell her I left her gratuity on the table. There was no thank you, almost as if she did not even want it. I was very careful to make sure that my nails on my hands were dry before doing anything. My daughter opened all the doors to the stores we went into. This went on for an hour before I ate, so I know my nails were very dry at this point. That is the perk of having someone who does not get their hand nails done. So I know I did not smudge them or do anything to goof them. The next day I see they are starting to peel. Well, four of my nails were peeling. I called the salon and nobody picked up. I called twice. I was annoyed and sort of knew this was going to happen because of their half filled nail polishes. The one I have chosen was probably 60% full. So I decided to just go there and see what they would do. To their credit, they had someone else correct my nails. It was aggravating I had to go there but I wanted my nails to look nice and not peeling the very next day after getting them done. The salon is very nicely decorated but I really cannot recommend them. All of the nail technicians I saw at the manicure station seem to be working really fast. Still, the service is reasonable priced and very quick. My only unpleasant comment is the location itself is looking drabby. Many of the seats have are very worn and leather is falling apart. The counters are gritty from the nail work. I preferred to have the entire nail kit to be bagged for one customer usage instead of the file and cuticle remover bagged. Yet, I get it. I visited the Venetian Spa with my daughter on Saturday and had a terrible experience. The nail tech rushed through my daughters mani/pedi, skimped on the exfoliating and lotion massage and seemed to be in a rush. She completed the service in less than 15 minutes, which for many who get their nails done often, know that a mani/pedi should take at least 30 minutes if done correctly and with care. My daughter asked her to paint and design two hearts on her nail, and instead of doing what was asked, she placed a gold sticker and tried charging $8 for "the design". She was also extremely rude and was rushing us out of the chair once she was done. Also, my daughters nail polish only lasted until Sunday morning, by the afternoon most of her nails had completely peeled off. The first time I went, the Apres nails I got lasted a decent amount of time but they forced me to get a new set and told me they cannot do refills on apres nails, which is untrue as I've been offered a refill service at other salons.
