I'm blown away with the buff chick calzone at Veneto Ristorante. This is the first time I've ever left a positive yelp review for any restaurant because, like, who's got time for that? But when I opened that calzone box, I heard angels. Succulent chicky tendies, flavorful sauce and cheese so stringly, I blacked out for a few seconds. Good pizza. I ordered a large roni & mushroom pie for pick up. They said "15 minutes" when I ordered it and they were cutting it when I walked in the door 15 minutes later. Overall a very good pie. Nice cheese blend and pretty good roni. The sauce we was not too sweet which I prefer. I ordered the pie "well done" as I do every pizza I order...they aren't afraid to cook this as I ordered it. We ordered our food at 430pm for delivery. It is 7:01 and my fiance is finally bringing home the order that they had to remake because apparently the driver was in an accident. We called several times to check on the status of the order and they never told us anything until my fiancé physically went there to check. This is unacceptable. They also have really good pastas, my favorite is their meat sauce with pasta. It is very simple but yet so delicious. Cooked perfect the 10/15 times I have ordered them. Not sure who they get there food from to cook but you can taste the good quality. I have a thing for feta cheese lately and I always get some. I really don't know why but it's better here then most places I have gotten it at. I'm sure it's nothing special they have but its good on every thing. I love their "North Ender" sub. The reason I'm not giving them 5 stars is their meatball sub and onion rings. The onion rings are good, not great. They are a little too crisp for my taste. But the real star-killer is the meatball sub. It had plenty of meatballs, but they are bland. The sauce is meh. The "parm" looks like it comes from one of those shaker cans. A travesty! I'm sorry, but I think that "cheese" tastes like vomit. I was really hungry, but I could only make myself eat 1/4 of the sub. I saved the leftovers - I think I'll rinse all the icky off the meatballs and put them in my own sauce over spaghetti. I'll use real Parmesan cheese too. When the PIzza Chef in Tyngsboro went out of business, I all but gave up hope for quality, local italian eating at reasonable prices. Well, goodbye Pizza Chef, hello Veneto's! My wife and I went here for lunch today with our baby girl. I ordered the combo special, with chicken and eggplant parm over noodles, my wife ordered the shrimp scampi. While we waited for our food the guy behind the counter brought us over some fresh oven baked rolls that were really, really good! When he brought over my towering plate of chicken/eggplant parm I couldn't believe how much food there was for such a little price. The food was delicious too. The noodles tasted fresh, and the chicken and eggplant were yummy! We were only able to eat less than half of our food (because there was so much) so we took the rest home for lunch tomorrow. Wooohooo! The service here was excellent too. The girl that worked there, saw we had a baby and got a highchair and cleaned it up for us, and the guy that worked there came out from behind the counter and got rolls for us (twice) and they even wrapped our leftovers nicely for us. My friends and I went there for dinner and the pricing seemed a bit more reasonable than it should be. My friend ordered the lasagna with meatballs and my other friend ordered a specialty pasta(I forgot the name); I ordered chicken wings with fries(pathetic choice, I know). It was about $8-$11 per dish and the portions were plentiful. My friends enjoyed their dishes but I really enjoyed my order. The chicken wings were fall off the bone and juicy. The fries were fried to a crisp and were flavorful. They didn't lose the crisp for a while either. A couple weeks later, I ordered the Veal Alfredo and had it delivered. Their deliveryman was very kind. He apologized for the wait and the food was delicious. It was the first time I had veal and I was impressed. The alfredo sauce was thick, just the way I like it and it went with the pasta very well. They will receive more phone calls from me. read more

We ordered a number of pizzas from here last weekend. I would say this is your standard townie pizza. It's pretty good. The plain cheese is solid - I felt the sauce could be more flavorful. I also felt the crust to be a bit to tough and chewy BUT - we all liked it and it was pretty good overall. - A mushroom-sausage pizza was a good choice as well. Had the Italian sub and did not enjoy it. It seemed basic and not quality. However, if you ask for extra something, you will get it. The subs are one size only (large) and they had a deal that you get free chips and a soda with the order of a large sub. We didn't see this until after and it was never conveyed to us. After having tried House of Pizza across the street and been very disappointed, Veneto's pizza was a welcome surprise and will be on my list of very good 'thin crust' pizza joints. We did a large plain and a large with spinach, mushrooms, and sausage. The pizza sauce and the crust were absolutely superb and my only complaint, and a minor one at that, was that they used fresh leaf spinach instead of garlic sauted cooked spinach so the spinach in places on the pizza was a bit dry - still the taste was very good, just not 5 stars. The garden salad is the usual mix of iceberg lettuce and accompaniments and these guys do give you quite a bit of grilled chicken, about 8 oz. Very disappointed. Called to place a delivery order and the person on the phone didn't know what "Fettuccini" pasta was. Tried repeating Fettuccini a few times until I decided to stick with spaghetti to avoid getting a wrong order. From the time I placed the order to the time the driver got to my door step was 1h19m. YES.... ONE HOUR AND NINETEEN MINUTES, and just for the record I live only 1.3 miles away from they're establishment, on the same street, not ever one turn needed.
