The worst part is parking, parking sucks, if you don't get lucky that someone is leaving when you're arriving you will have to park farther and walk. I got lucky enough though but later I saw multiple people walking in the hot sun to find their cars streets over. Upon entering we were momentarily confused because there is a small tea/cafe type area in the front, but if you walk past this to the next room that's the main area where no shoes are allowed. I'm assuming that this must be where they hold workout classes but yesterday it was set up with these amazingly comfortable couch cushion type seating as well as regular chairs. I saw that they have a patio area, and a huge rack of all sizes of weights. If they were closer to me I would definitely try them out for excersize. The opener from the event had an absolutely amazing singing voice, he made me feel like I'm in a monastery listening to some mesmerizing chanting. If he ever reads this I think it would have been even better if he didn't stop every few seconds to try to get the crowd to repeat after him, it broke the mesmerization each time he did this, it would have been much more powerful if he went straight through nonstop. Acoustics in this building are great. Next was Joe Huff, he told the motivating story of how he ended up where he is today, and it all started from one event that cascaded into more events, etc. It was a great speech and we were gifted with his book that I'm looking forward to reading. Lastly we got to hear from the owner of Renaissance club which was a very nice speech, it is evident that Renaissance is his passion and truly brings him joy. Overall a great venue for such an event, spacious, comfortable, and everyone was friendly. Thank you for a great experience.

They some how have made it profitable to charge people a premium for a gym and offer no gym equipment. If you want to do what they do, which would be confusing if you do, you can literally go on YouTube and just copy a workout that has no gym equipment. From Google- "Complaints regarding Primal Moves Venice (Marina del Rey) indicate dissatisfaction with it being overpriced, disorganized, and providing poor value, with some members feeling "ripped off". This park has no shade over the playground which really sucks because it's such a nice playground. It's fully covered in sand which is a pro or con to some. My boys love the sand and it keeps them occupied for hours so it's a pro for me. They have restrooms, although I wish they would clean them more often. Everytime I've been it's been pretty dirty. Love that there are a bunch of picnic tables, however, none of them have covers to them. Some are where there are trees but other than that, mainly sunny. Since it's a recreation center they have a pool. The website states heated and year round but I've never been so I'm not too sure. But typical 4$ for adults and 1$ for kids. They have basketball courts that often fill up during the weekends. And lots of grass area to run around. Overall we do enjoy this park, just wish it had more shade.

Instead, you enter via a ladder directly into about four feet of water, with a rope separating this area from the deeper section. This setup may be fine for confident swimmers, but it felt less family-friendly than anticipated. Conversely, if you are looking to swim laps, this is not a lap pool. It is purely recreational. The changing and bathroom area is very open, and the showers offer no privacy. The shower water was also quite cold, which was not especially comfortable, particularly for kids. If you are expecting enclosed changing rooms or warm showers, this may be disappointing. Parking is public street parking only, paid at meters, which adds another layer of planning and cost. When I drove…read moreup, some young guys were outside playing volleyball, so I watched that for a bit before heading in. This is a great center for kids and families. They have a skate park, pictured, as well as courts and fields where people can play and work out. It is a nice spot in the middle of the city where people can be active and do positive things. I am giving Stoner Recreation Center 4 stars.

There's a sand area but most of the playground has the bouncy ground. There are picnic tables and benches. The park is really spacious with a wide range of playground equipment made for wheelchairs and with disabilities. It has a toddler area tactile and musical playground equipment. There's a zip line. There's a lot of shaded areas. There's a boat, space ship, tunnel, slides, rolling metal slide, balance beams shaped like balls, and so much more. It's a super inclusive playground with a diverse group of patrons as well. The bad: The parking lot had some cars that looked like people were living out of their car. There was a pee stench at the entrance. Toward the toddler area there was a guy smoking weed. The interesting: It has a LA theme with references to the observatory, freeway and more.

This makes it frustrating when it's crowded, and there are designated lanes for medium-fast swimmers, but they're taken up by slow/beginner swimmers. Had to wait around for 10 minutes until there was space. Needs to be a better of way of controlling/managing the lanes so that different swim levels can swim without the pool being completely overrun by slow swimmers, making it harder for other levels to enjoy the pool space.
