Been coming here for a year but I was really disappointed with my last visit. Showed the nail tech the glitter ombré I wanted, she decided she didn't like and picked two colors that she wanted to do instead. Didn't realize until she had already finished one naill, which i admit is stupid on my part but I've never had a tech not go through with I asked unless they ask if it's okay to change what I want first. Another customer was let in and worked on while the customer was not wearing a mask, which is against Abbott's mandate at this time. Also two of the nails started breaking off by the time I got back home. Wish I had gotten the name of the tech. Never had a bad experience at this salon prior to yesterday. read more

Tan is so accommodating and caring. I've always been seen right away. If I do have to wait, it's only by about 10 minutes. Which people need to understand that Saturdays are salon/spas busiest days. Not impressed. I've been coming here since the beginning of the year. They've been decent until recently. The last few times I've been cut. This time the didn't cut my toenails down like I asked, and cut my finger nails too short. They all seemed to be in a hurry and the results showed. The lady doing my pedicure got paint on the top of my foot and was just going to leave it there. It was a bright orange smudge about 2 inches. You can't tell me no one saw it. Worst spa pedicure experience ever. The man at the counter who also answered the phone when I called requesting prices was incredibly rude - both over the phone and then in person. The price was right, so I decided to give them a shot in spite of his attitude. Big mistake! They may be cheap, but there are other places to get cheap pedicures with a much higher quality of experience. ETA due to the Owner's Response: I called asking for prices because they are not listed on the website or anywhere else that I could find, but you didn't even want to tell me the prices for each of the options. Further, I am so sorry that I wanted to know what the spa pedicures included so that I could make a decision - how dare me! Also, I have worked in many customer service jobs and have never treated anyone the way that you treated me - with such disrespect and disregard. I would NEVER treat a customer that way. By the way, I was content with the technician despite the incredibly short massage (which I know is just YOUR policy, not her wrongdoing) and the fact that she didn't cut my nails short enough or even straight. I just cannot believe that the OWNER of the business was the man that I was interacting with. It's perfect! The interior is well done and always clean, I've never had to wait long, they have a good polish selection, and all of them do a great job on your nails. I've never gotten a better gel mani than the ones I get here. I have super flexible nails, and in the past as my nails flex under my gel mani, they being to crack. Not so for a gel mani from Venice Nails! For the first time, a gel mani has truly stayed on as long as it is supposed to. They have lots of scrumptious pedicures, and they never rush thought them. I'm more than a little weirded out... ---------------------- I've been a long time customer here, not bc of how great the service has been, but because of the convenient the location has been. However, lately I've been reconsidering this. For the second time recently I've made an appointment and had my appointment companion have their mani/pedi done either before or after mine has been completely done - this defeats the purpose of making an appointment. This time particularly irked us because the owner (Quin) was running around with her gaudy wedding/engagement ring and not caring about the low end customer service being provided. After putting fliers on every car in the parking lot they wouldn't honor mine bc I forgot it at home - even though I've been a long standing customer formyeand I'm sure they had ~500 behind the counter. But bc they "couldn't scan them" I couldn't get my $5 off. After 7 years of coming here I am done. Good luck staying open with such poor customer service. Peace y'all! I always find it interesting when the business owners get defensive. Clearly there was wrong doing that they are trying to cover up and blame the customer. We chose our colors immediately and were not tended to right away - plain and simple. The coupon I showed was exactly from this location, just the wrong service (took me a second to pull up the right one). I had the other coupon in my car. Good customer service would have honored me the discount anyway as I am a long time customer as they've sent it to my house and literally put the coupon on every single car windshield in the parking lot for two months straight. I'm not looking for a deal (TRUST ME I can pay), just looking for a good mani/pedi and good customer service to match it. If that's what you're looking for then this is not the place for you. I will not be coming back unfortunately, but wish them the best of luck as first time parents. I've been coming to Venice following the parameters of CoVid since it reopened and prior today had amazing customer service. I signed up for the rewards program and I've come about 3 times since to add points and honor the text promotions. I've had no issue doing this even during covid until today. I received a birthday promo via Venice's reward text program giving me a 20% discount for any service $35 and up that expires 8/17. Today is my birthday, August 14, and I took an uber all the way here to honor that promo and was turned away by the rudest man I've ever seen in that establishment. He was condescending and extremely passive aggressive on his real reason for not honoring my coupon. He said that their salon outsources the promo program through a 3rd party company and since they're honoring Covid laws at 25% capacity they can't honor my coupon. I've come to this salon 3-4 times even during the capacity rules and have had my promos honored. I even told him they should put up a sign or suspend their service and still honor it because now he's ruining my birthday and wasting my money even by coming out there. He claims it's company policy and has all the signs saying to wear masks but none indicating they won't be honoring coupons. It's bad enough that my gel pedicures are subpar. I was only coming back for Lydia and their amazing conversation and customer service and I always tip well. I'm not looking for a handout, it's just the principle. I will never ever come back to this salon, the work isn't even worth the hassle of the rude a** owner and with his attitude they'll shut down soon. read more

Pedicure and a full set solar gel. My cuticles hurt. When I would pull my hand away from a nic she would sign and pull my hand closer to her. When I asked about a part of my toenail both the one who was doing my toes and hands ignored me. When I asked for a refund she said she didnt know how to do it. She didnt want to refund me so she offered to take only $50 off. $180 turned in to $380 because we have to go somewhere else and have everything redone after my cuticles heal. I'm gonna post pics. I was asked to pay before they finished our nails. No problem. As soon as we paid they start really slacking. I didnt even want them to finish my nails. My fingers were burning from the chemicals and the open sores on my cuticles. The salon has a nice Venice feel. I hope that the next time someone spends that much in your salon that you give them great customer service. I am very disappointed. read more

I am a transplant to the Dallas area from Boston where I had probably the best manicurist I will ever have in my life (we had a 17 year relationship). I've come to peace with the fact that I will not be able to duplicate the service in Dallas. I tried Venice Nails after trying several other places (including a Dallas spa that charged twice the price) and it is for now my go-to for manicures and pedicures. The technician I go to is named Leydi and she is super nice and does a good job. Everyone who works there seems friendly and welcoming. Appointments haven't been readily available which is nice for me but I would like them to be busier so they do well as a business and the technicians stay. Tan's work is amazing and I am so happy I found him. I went to a nail salon (down the road from Venice Nails) to get my nails done for my wedding and I was not happy with their work, I payed and tipped (as they did provide me a service) and left. Unfortunately my dip nails didn't last. They chipped the next day and went in to have my nail fixed this first time. The next day another nail chipped and went in and was told to schedule an appointment. Due to my time I had to schedule this the following day. By now 5 days passed since having a full dip done and went in to have mine all redone since they were unreliable in wear. I was charged half price for my dip now getting my nails redone, not impressed . They lost a customer, won't return. I've never had dip chip before! read more

I've been coming here for a couple of years now because it's super close to my house! I always get dipping powder with tips and a shape. Previously, it would take me FOREVER to pick a color because they would just hand me a stack of nail colors and I would have to flip through them. My tips would also break off after 2 weeks or so and have to drive back to get them fixed. However, after a new management change last summer, I can not go to any other nail salon. Their dipping color options are so organized and easy to select from a stand. The owner, Tan, is super friendly and helpful. I've had a couple of question for him on Facebook and he always answered back! The receptionist always walks around to make sure everything is going well. They also offer you drinks while you're getting your nails done! They add multiple layers of dipping powder to ensure the best quality and take their time. The nail techs also ask you if you're satisfied after each step. Although it is a little pricey, it is most definitely worth it! I can not rave about this place enough. Tan definitely has been doing a wonderful job bringing a 3 star nail salon to a 4.5 Star one. Kudos to you!! Will always be back read more

This was my first visit here, I have been to many salons in the area and I always seemed to find something I was not happy with. I made an appointment with Tan. I walked in and it is beautiful. Very clean and very organized. I was right away greeted by the front desk as well as Tan! He helped me pick what I wanted also asked if I wanted a drink and started on my full set. I moved to North Dallas 2 years ago , I have tried a few nail shops in the area, I had given up on finding a new Nailshop until I stumbled across Venice Nails on Instagram, after scrolling thru some pics for about 3 months I decided it was time to visit. Appointment set. I arrive 30 min before my appointment , first impression very good. The salon is clean and Covid friendly. I was greeted right away so I'm thinking yeah!!! I've made a good choice. The person who greeted me ended up being my nail tech Tracey (I think) . Ok no problem, I get a set of dip nails medium length (my receipt said long) coffin shape, one color and two marble nails. Everything is going fine (tech is a little slow,but I have patience) until the marble. She put 3 lines then asked if ok. Nope, please take off, she then tells me to wait a little while, ok no problem, 15 min, 30 min , at the 43 min mark a very nice tech came over Leydi and completed my marble nails. Well, the environment was pleasant enough, and they were able to accommodate us without an appointment. Staff was not extraordinarily helpful or kind and the price was a little on the high side. My friends and I had manis and pedis. One of my friends had a batched french tip manicure, which resulted in bubbles and a long attempt to try to correct it. While my manicure turned out fine, my other friend had a pretty negative experience. The guy doing her mani managed to hack at her nails til they literally bled. She walked out of the salon with 3 fingers bleeding and swelling at the cuticle. She paid $63 and will not waste another dime here. Overall, a nice environment, good equipment, but just inadequate service. We will not be returning. read more
