Jim took some measurements of my old sights and adjusted the new sight to get me close. Well, close was a near bullseye on the first shot; only some fine adjustment was needed. Jim took extra care to mount it correctly with a shim that made it very secure. He called me before proceeding on a small mounting issue he found. Very professional service. On a side note, the new sight helped me harvest a very nice mule deer this season. I would highly recommend Elite Rifle Works.

I wanted a WWI Mauser barrel shortened to produce a more modern Scout rifle with a muzzle break. But after considering the rifle's setup and their lath requirements, we decided that I would be better off using another Mauser for my goal. Their shop looks like a place I would love to go thru and see what treasurers are hiding there. At first glance, it looks sort of discombobulatedly organized.. But after glancing around, I can see the method to their organization. In fact, I was looking for an old set of scope rings for an old .22 rifle sold back then by Sears (they don't sell guns anymore). Jim went thru his stash and found one that would work after looking at a half dozen or more. He also told me how to repair a slight split in the stock. Lots of good advice along with the old set of scope rings. Elite also works on other guns besides bolt actions. Also has a stash of old knives and I don't know what else. I will use them again if I have need for their expertise. Nice guys and knowledgable.

Lots of help and knowledgeable, all armed, of course. Went in to look at .380s for the wife, but decided that for her needs a smaller caliber semi-auto was better. Confidence in use is as important as caliber. Prices were reasonable, not the cheapest, not the highest. They had many weapons I would like to add to my armory, but we'll see. Birthday is upcoming. :-) Now to train her for this particular weapon and teach her how to put her warface on, if necessary. Sometimes you don't have to shoot, if they know you mean business.

I made a trip there and picked up a product, price tag was $71.00 and there was a sale tag over that for $43.00. I wold have paid the $71.00 but the cashier said he had to ask Cliff. When Cliff came over he said "All the parts are here, the price is $100.00." I pointed out the price tag and he blamed an 80 year old guy who works for him, along with other employees for not doing their job properly. I found this curious because 3 weeks earlier I was in the shop and Cliff tried to sell me the exact same product for $71.00. I wanted to investigate what I wanted, finding nothing at a better price, is why I went back. Cliff will not have to worry about me coming back ever.

I was going to purchase a Byrna non lethal pistol and went into their little shooting booth. Shot 3 or 4 times and asked for more to try, He said that is all he's allowed to let me try. I've spent Thousands of dollars there and 3 shots was not enough to see if I wanted to make this purchase. I just left. I'll probably go to the Boise location to purchase since he didn't really seem to care about my purchase. I'm looking at purchasing several items in the Bryan line of products.

When it was my turn, I told them my last name and indicated order-pickup. I was told the items hadn't been pulled yet. Counter person said it can sometimes take 5-6 hours, or even a few days, to get online order items pulled and ready. I asked if I could just go get the items myself from the shelves, come back, match them up against my email-received receipt, and take them with me? Nope. Can't do that. Said I would have to go home, cancel the order online, and drive back to the store. I wasn't going to do that. Asked them if they could just cancel the order here at the checkout counter? Nope, can't do that. Said they could give me the 1-800 number to call to cancel the order, which I called, from the parking-lot. Operator said she would submit the cancellation, but that it could take 2-3 business days to process. All of this was utterly obtuse and inconvenient. When getting home, I found that the website doesn't allow cancellation of an order online anyway. The final insult? When I returned home I received an email that my order was ready for pickup. So much wrong with this. Never again, Sportsman's. Long time customer who now will not spend another dime with you. The logistics were inefficient enough, but it was the we-don't-care attitude that was acute.
