Billy is competent, caring and reasonably priced. We recently brought him an oil painting that we had purchased in Mexico. Due to the travel and shipping the surface of the canvas had become damaged and was starting to show cracking. Alone among the framing shops we consulted, Billy recommended a couple of coats of clear lacquer to stabilize the surface, which he threw in for free. I am absolutely thrilled with the canvas that Billy stretched and framed for me. It took about a week longer than expected due to a small crease on the canvas that Billy was working to remove. In Billy's words, "he is a perfectionist and he wants to be sure I am 100% satisfied." Well he did not disappoint, the framed canvas is beautiful. This is a large piece (would not fit in my car), so I needed to coordinate a time with my handyman when he would be able pickup and hang. However, because my painting took longer than expected, Billy delivered and hung the painting in my home, going above and beyond when it comes to customer service. My wife and I have had several pictures framed by Ventura Picture Framing and Billy has always done a great job. I had a canvas picture of my wife and mother-in-law framed for a Valentine's Day present for my wife this year. I took it to VPF to have them look at it and give some suggestions on the framing. I had this picture created by an artist I found on Etsy and it was shipped on wooden "backing". The first thing Billy did was increase the size of the wooden backing to expand the canvas picture and give it more area to show. He then suggested some different colors for the matting that matched colors in the picture and they really brought out the details. We then looked at some frame suggestions and I chose the one I liked best. The picture looked great !! My wife was totally taken by surprise with this picture and she was very emotional as her mom had passed away a few days after Christmas 2017. Billy at Ventura Picture Framing helped make this a special occasion for us and as always he did a fantastic job with another picture of ours.
