Brutalist is a powerful movie with great acting and some stunning scenery shots (I especially loved the scenes shot in Venice and the mountains of Italy). But beware, this movie is nearly 4 hours long! I'm curious about the inclusion of "Café" in the theater's name. There's a refreshment bar downstairs and one upstairs, but I haven't seen a café. Maybe there's one hidden around a corner I don't know about. You can get your tickets at a kiosk downstairs. I'm not sure if you can even buy one from a staffer. Matinee prices end at 2:00pm. Regular prices as of this writing are $17.50/adult, $14.50/senior and $14/child. That's notably higher than at other theaters in the area. We saw Brutalist in theater #2. In theater #2, the best view is in the third row from the top. Nice large screen and a very good sound system. But an ADA alert: the elevator was out of order on our visit yesterday. So if you can't walk up an escalator or stairs, you couldn't see a movie! And to go back down, there is not an escalator (the escalator only goes up).

Lights are so dim and honestly was depressing to stau here for 3 weeks. Breakfast can be a chaos but one older Hispanic lady just keeps moving, refilling buffet and clearing tables. She is so nice and such a hard worker...it made my day seeing her every morning. They have a pool and hot tub outside, and my family with a 4 year old would not have survived otherwise. They have a little trail going around the hotel, and CVS and Aldi are within a minute walk. My favorite Mosaic District is also 15min walk from here. The location and people are great, but the hotel needs a major update!

We asked repeatedly to clean the room, but she refused. The room was in disarray, the bedding had stains, and smelled like old sweat, the floors were sticky, the fridge was not properly cleaned and was full of black mold. There was no trash liner in the trash nor there was any hand soap. We had to wear masks while we were there. We were disgusted. So we asked to be transferred to a different room, however we were accused that we brought the flies and the smell came from us. Kristin told us to evacuate the room immediately or else. We literally had few minutes to leave. We were shocked and disappointed. We called the corporate office to report the incident but no one would listen. Please don't make a reservation in this place as you will be victimized by this heartless liar and a cheat

I ordered a salad with salmon probably 30 min ago and no sight of the food though he said it was coming right out.... Hmmm...I was just going to leave but decided I should do the right thing and stay. It finally came out and was missing the feta cheese. He brought some out in a little dish and I sprinkled it in. The salad was super delicious! I got some of their truffle fries. Everything was just divine. Topped the meal off with an affogato too and that just ended the experience perfectly. Well worth the wait!

Ordered the calamari - lots of breading and lots of tentacles. If you look at the picture I attached of the calamari - the plate at the front is all breading that I peeled off because there is just so much of it! The plate at the back is all tentacles. It also smells very fishy, so not that fresh. I love ordering calamari, so I have tried a lot of different restaurants' calamari. This was very much below par. I ate less than half. Also ordered wings. I asked for all flats. The waiter said no. Seems odd. Never had a restaurant that refused to accommodate this kind of request before. They may charge extra, but they don't just say no. Anyway, whatever, ordered them anyway. They came out hot but overcooked. All the drums were exceedingly dry. I only ate about half of them. The server I had was just okay too. Overall an average experience at best and I would not recommend or be back.

Overpriced, lots of stress…read more We found out about L'ambiance and Priti through our wedding planner while preparing for our wedding Dec 2020. Covid ultimately shut down our event. As a result, we had to eat a portion of the cost of flowers for the event as well as needing to contract to use them for when we rescheduled. This was fine and we ate that cost. When we were able to finally manage to get all vendors to agree on a new date, we found out that l'ambiance increased fees as now the wedding would take place in the summer. Keep that in mind when planning. Priti was busy and unable to meet with me in person to actually start planning until maybe 10 weeks before the rescheduled and larger wedding. We went back and fourth many times on ideas and ultimately finalized our contract merely two weeks before the wedding. At this point, even if I didn't like the pricing, there was no time for me to even shop around for anyone else. There were many little mistakes/fees added such as any supplies they had prepared to use for the canceled dec wedding and the prices of things were not consistent between contracts. (My advice is to print each proposal bc you cannot refer to the previous to see what she was charging, so if one price was negotiated down, something else was "mistakingly" increased to recoup costs) Also the week before the wedding she realized her system had made a mistake on the contract and needed us to re-adjust yet again. Just extremely stressful and didn't really foster trust from my perspective. Ultimately, the finished product was fine. There were things that she claimed to take "artistic" liberties on but that mostly looked like they ran out of flowers plus she never ran those "liberties" past me. For someone spending 30k + divided between two events, she never connected with us after she got her money. When you are doing your budgeting, also add that you will have to provide a lot of hotel rooms for her workers even if the venue is only 1.5 hours away from her office. Also, some of her workers were found to have crashed our wedding and got drunk off our open bar and were found puking behind the event location. I'm glad they had a hotel nearby to sober up to break down the decor on Sunday morning. She will deny this. In the end, I would advise that you carefully review your contracts and that no matter what you agree and sign for, vendors can/and will change it last minute as there is no contract police to help you on your wedding day. Also, be aware that anything custom made for your event you will pay exorbitant pricing for and you will not be able to keep it without paying an even bigger price to take it off her hands. Long story short, end product was fine, sure, but very overpriced. Be prepared for a lot of miscommunication back and fourth and last minute contract changes as you will find many mistakes. Very stressful process.

And so here we found ourselves - I had done some research on hotels along the Metro line, wanting to fully experience the daily plight of the urban government worker toiling their way in and out of the capital. And so we did, and it was fantastic. The hotel is very nice, cleanly kept and decorated in the current "modern boardroom" style. There's a grocery next door that satisfied those snack cravings, and plenty of restaurants within walking distance. There's parking as well, although it can be tricky to find a spot. Luckily my recent mall visits the week before Christmas had me in good fighting form. All in all it was a great trip and having a convenient, reasonably priced, and accommodating base of operations such as this helped a lot.

The Metro was single tracking over the weekend so I didn't get the expected value out of this decision, but that's not the hotel's fault. The room I got was clean enough, but quite poorly soundproofed. I thought it was pouring rain outside once only to realize someone was taking a shower overhead. The lobby was snazzy enough, but I wish that a bit more money had been spent on the rooms themselves.
