They are so many different rooms and staged displays for you to snap pictures and videos. My kids loved the upside down room. My husband and I enjoyed the throne room. Actually, we truly loved it all! There are so many colors and textures. It is something you have to experience. Even with the Coronavirus on the loose, we still felt very safe. The exhibits are appropriately spaced and there are so many of them so it is easy to social distance. Masks are required when you're not taking a picture. There's hand sanitizer available and they limit the number of people allowed in the venue. Of course, they also clean the rooms and props. I foresee a lot of photo shoots and parties being done here. I talked with some of the people in charge and they said the rooms will change monthly so that dope! It's an ever changing experience so you will want to come back again and again!

Not being from the Birmingham area, I had no idea that this place existed! What a great venue for events, while also showcasing Birmingham Water Works from its earliest days.Use of the museum is for business and civic orgs only.... so no wedding receptions or private parties. AV and other technologies are also available for use. Not sure on the cost to rent, but given that the Alumni Assc. has a limited budget, I'm sure we didn't spend too much on renting the space. Stop by and view this venue if you're looking for a unique spot to hold your next meeting or event!

On this same side of the building where parties can be hosted, there's also a little bit of interactive museum stuff... fun!! We went on a Saturday night for the first showing, at 2030. All guests were courteous and respectful. Many had lawn chairs and blankets that they utilized around their parked car. The Snack Shack is lacking in options, but fortunately there is an eatery attached to the outlet that is not any farther walk than the Snack Shack. Restrooms are also located near the eatery. Rules state that outside food and drink are prohibited, but I don't think anyone would approach you over it, after all, you are in your own, personal, vehicle.
