Mom finally got to the point to where she couldn't live alone anymore. This kind of thing happens…read morevery fast. As in most cases my brothers and I had to figure out in a short time where to put Mom. We searched around the Inland Empire as our most convenient location since my brothers and sisters are scattered throughout the western United States. We looked around and happened upon Villas. From day one everyone at Villas went above and beyond helping answer the myriad of questions that we all had about moms care. We spoke to the staff at Villas and they put in simple terms how Mom would be taken care of how much the cost would be for the different levels of care that were available. The food service and also her medicines and how they would be handled. Needless to say we all feel very much at ease now knowing that mom is there at Villas. The place is immaculate the staff is professional and very gentle with mom. There are a lot of activities for all the guest and there are different levels of care that can accommodate any situation. We are very thankful for Villas and highly recommend this place to anyone that finds themselves in this difficult spot. Tommi and Gladys who helped us out with Mom are angels. My moms caregiver Dulce takes care of mom as we would if we could. This is the place for your mom or dad.

Other than those things she does all her own dressing, personal care, eating and is active in the community. The owner was Dan and the director was Tommi when she moved in. It was wonderful then. It was sold to Oxford Health Corp and the current director of the facility acts like he cares but then is unkind. The Director acts good to the residents when corporate comes to visit. He is very rude, disrespectful and condescending to my mother. The Villas is a less desirable place to live now compared to how it was. Making money and cutting programs, staff and the quality of the food is now the Corporations #1 priority, not the residents. The Receptionists, Activity Directors, Med Techs, direct care givers and Admin Assistant are wonderful people and really care about the residents. Although many of the caregivers are under trained and often short staffed so answering call buttons takes a long time. But that is the fault of their directors. Most of them are very kind, just not properly instructed. The food is not gourmet as they claim. They say they offer transportation but the bus is often broke down. The building, rooms and grounds are nice but if you have to share a room, due to financial reasons, be prepared for sharing a bathroom, refrigerator and to have competing noise with TVs, tablets, phone conversations and visitor conversations. The cost of the room is reasonable for all the amenities but if you need any kind of care the cost is ridiculous! So, why do we keep Mom there? Partly because she's 90 but mostly because she has built community with some of staff and residents and is willing to take the bad with the good!

The owner was so rude and mean and nasty and the people that live there were scared of her. I have her on video She kicked my mom out especially with paying $850 for rent which is illegal. They stack up five people per room which I don't even know is illegal or not. They didn't refund me the money either back today and my mom needs to go to another board and care but I don't have the money to do that. I think that was horrible the way that I got treated All I was trying to do is be nice and help bring some stuff out when the owner was yelling at me just because I was dropping my mom off with a bunch of food. I don't know if their permits are up to date or what the circumstances but I am seriously disappointed about how the people living there are being treated is absolutely horrible living conditions on top of myself as a guest going on to their property I respected all the rules they had and was about to leave & bagged everything up and put it back in the car They refuse to let me give out anything to help the people out.

Second, you pull yourself together and hit the ground running, trying to find a safe, nice, clean, caring place for her. Third, you cry some more when you hit all kinds of brick walls during your search. All the private pay facilities were between 8-10k per month, and the ones that accepted medi-cal/Medicare just weren't something we could see our mom living in. Not to mention, there was a 6-18 month waiting list for the waiver needed to get mom into a facility. Thank God my brother found Justiss with Concise Care Group. She literally handled everything for us all while putting our minds at ease during the process. Not only was she professional, knowledgeable, and "Concise", she was compassionate as well. She handled everything for us and knew the tricks of the trade to get our mom in a great memory care facility. Concise was very informative and found her another available bed closer to our home and gave us information about her personal care that wasn't available in the past.
