I have been here twice and both times I had an amazing experience. My girl Sophia helped me every time I went and I have not been disappointed. My go-to is natural polish with glitter on top and since moving to California. I have been looking high and low for a place that can accomplish it. I know it should be easy but I like a peek of my nail and not just a pink or clear polish and I've been to five places and I still couldn't get what I was looking for. I'm out here for a business trip and found this place as I was going grocery shopping and the lady at the front desk (So sorry I can't remember your name!) helped me try to figure out the color I was looking for and the next day I went in for my appointment. Definitely got what I wanted and the place is really nice. They offer you water and if you want to watch anything specific they have TVs everywhere so you can catch the game. Sophia and I have a great rapport so when it was time for me to go back for a fill she was available which is great cause it was a Saturday but I was willing to wait if I needed to. You can see she has a passion in her art and she loves to do it. She takes her time and really helpful to get the look I wanted. I am so happy to have found her. Sadly, I am moving back to California and I wish I can pick up the whole salon and place it in Ventura. If I ever come back to the area I know where I will be taken care of. read more

I typically schedule with Sophia because she is absolutely amazing. I have a weird anxiety thing about my hands being touched so sometimes I will go a monstrous 5-8 weeks without a fill looking like I have raptor claws, but Sophia's work NEVER lifts, cracks or breaks. She also remembers my hand anxiety and is gentle and manages to shape my nails to perfection with a different technique than I've ever experienced. When I haven't scheduled an appointment and Sophia is unavailable, I've experienced other nail techs and left unhappy and with subpar service. Shame on me for not scheduling, but if Sophia were to ever stop working here I would no longer be a patron. read more

I just got a dip manicure, I've been trying to stop biting my nails for like 5 years on and off and finally made a hefty bet in March and so I have two months of growth (which apparently my nails grow REALLY slow, but anyway) I've had a stressful day, I walk in- the piano/meditation music is playing. amazing. Cuticles. My nail beds suck, so i've been really trying to push back my cuticles. Y'all ever been to a place where they use the electric nail file to do your cuticles? Like what is wrong with y'all !!!! She did the cuticle soak, got the special cuticle scissors, and went ham. Just what I needed. I shaped them myself, but if you do dip you know the dip tends to misguide the shape a little. I wouldn't let her get them all the same length just because i'm so proud of the growth so don't pay attention to that but, she reshaped them after the dip- but before the top coat so it didn't ruin the finished look. and I mean she fixedddd them she spent time making sure they weren't squared off because even though my nails are still short I was aiming for coffin shape. She listened to me when I said one was a little too square for my taste and paid special attention to it. She brought out the electric file so the dip wouldn't bubble up and make it look like I just had big globs on top of my nails. You know it's real when they give you a lil hand massage. There wasn't a bunch of glue type crud from the dip underneath my nails. I mean just thank you. *note I do henna and I had some on my middle finger- since I picked such a light color it peeked through a little, but that's totally my fault so I'm not upset about it at all. That's also the orange stuff on the inside of my thumb. PSA that if you put henna on your nails, it will never ever fade. You just have to wait for the nail to grow out lol read more

I visited Venus last week. This wasn't my first time here and I've always had a pleasant experience. I visited 3 weeks before and was in to get my dip redone. I had the same manicurist Sophia and was very happy with my prior manicure. I told her I wanted the exact same shape just cut down since they had grown a lot in 3 weeks. I thought we were on the same page but after she did the dip she started aggressively filing my nails to form the almond/oval shape. It hurt it was so aggressive and then when she was done I noticed the shape wasn't even and some nails looked like half my nail was missing. In addition some of the dip had come off the sides of my nail from the filing. I pointed it out to her while she was doing the top coat and without even taking her eyes off the polish she was putting on to look at what I was telling her, she said, that's just how this shape is. I understand almond/oval is narrower at the top but several of my nails looked like they were leaning due to the misshaping. I talked to the owner when I left and she was anything but apologetic and said that's how that shape is. She only offered $10 off which was disappointing. I should have asked for 1/2 off since 1/2 my nails are missing. They also charge extra for dip to be soaked off and for your cuticles to get done. On top of that, my nail chipped after less than a week. Dip always holds for at least 3 weeks for me. So disappointed in the service and customer service. I won't be back. read more

OUCH. I haven't been able to walk without pain since my service. I popped in for a pedicure, but called ahead an made sure they had an opening. My nail tech cut my cuticles OFF in several places drawing blood. I noticed the pain immediately, but it's worsened a few days later. I have had to soak my toes in peroxide morning and night to stave off infection. My toes are SO SORE :( it hurts to put weight on them. Ouch. Ouch. Ouch. read more

Kind of bummed to write this review because I wanted to love this place... I received a gift certificate and normally go to a different salon for my bi-monthly mani, but decided to give this place a shot rather than just getting a pedicure.. I went in for with an appointment for a soak off and dip manicure. The salon was beautiful and everything appears to be very clean. They were adequately staffed and everyone was very friendly. When I arrived there were two other people getting manis and I was seat, offered a drink and got to pick my color right away- we were off to a great start. My manicure took almost 2 hours and was very poor quality in the end. My nails were not evenly shaped and the dip powder was not evenly buffed down. It has now been less than 72 hours and my top coat is pealing off and bubbling up in places leading me to believe I received a bad manicure and also paid for poor quality products as well. I did see the girl next to me getting a mani that looked AMAZING and nothing like the work I ended up with on my hands... So my suggestion would be to go with a nail tech you know does quality work there, or stick with a relaxing pedi [they served wine!!] read more

This is my 3rd terrible experience here and I won't be back. I brought a party of 5 here for pedis during a going away party. We had an appointment and it was a Friday afternoon, not even a busy weekend. We all got basic pedis but they were finished in 15 minutes!! This is my disabled mom's foot -- he barely even made a dent in her calluses. I had no idea or I would have had them redo it but she didn't show me until we got home. My feet were barely acceptable. They literally finished 4 adults feet in the same time a lady finished my 8 yr olds feet. I did complain at the time that I felt like they rushed the job to the front manager and I got a "I will talk to them". $160 later total, $60 for me and my daughter, they wouldn't even punch my loyalty card because MY service wasn't over $35 individually!!! Are you kidding me?! My last disappointment was 2 months ago when they were very petty about $10. Poor poor customer service and they don't even do a good job. Everytime I come I leave as happy as I can be. LINDA is amazing and super skillful. Every time I go in she doesn't disappoint. They offer water and snacks to eat while you get your nails done and once you walk in your promptly greeted . On the counter they have a very in detail menu on what they offer. Today was my first time trying this place out. I was greeted as soon as I walked in and asked what I could be helped with. Everyone there was super nice. I was overwhelmed with the large quantity of color choices they had, but two of the girls helped narrow my choices down when I told them I like nude colors the most. My nail technician was Amy and she was super friendly and knowledgeable. I got a gel manicure today and after leaving I noticed she didn't paint my nails all the way to the cuticle, which is driving me nuts! It looks like I had these done two weeks ago, and they have grown out. Not impressed, also the time before, I got a gel pedicure, and the nice man doing my toes unfortunately made my big toe uneven. I recently moved and hadn't been to this location in about a year or so. My best friend and I came in for dip manicure and gel pedicure for my wedding. What a awful experience! "Jenny" who did my dip manicure was absolutely mean to the bone. She kept jerking my hands and telling me to relax. What??? I was relaxing until she behaved in a manner that was absolutely unprofessional. I picked out a color and she refused to use the color I picked out. When she was finished I looked at my nails and the dip was so thick it looked awful. Went to the pedicure chair she ripped my bag out of my hand and said "give it here now" WHAT?! That's my bag and I needed my lipgloss. We asked for some wine but couldn't drink it because it was old and stale. My friends polish peeled off within an hour. When I went to pay the nail tech said "tip tip tip custom tip" I did not tip her. I WILL NOT BE BACK! The owner never called me but accused my friend of not paying when she in fact did. HORRIBLE. I went here one time pre-covid with my friend & had a fine experience, nothing special. It's been more than a few months since I've had my nails done, & I decided to come back here because they were pretty empty last time & I didnt want to be around a ton of people due to covid. I came back to get a full set, & called in to make an appointment before showing up - as I do every time. Everything went well the first time except the fact I was relentlessly harassed asking if I wanted gel polish. When I have acrylics, I come in every two weeks, so I've never seen why I would pay $15 more for gel "that lasts longer." The polish always lasts perfectly fine for two weeks, when I say I'm fine with regular polish, I get asked 10+ more times by multiple people with each one saying "you know gel lasts longer." If I say I want polish, RESPECT IT. After my appointment, I had 3 nails break within that week. They were clearly done too thin as I typically get the full two weeks without breaking. I came back in to get those nails fixed & a fill. As usual, I called to make an appointment for 5:30. The last time I was here, the desk women told me they also do ombré. When I called to make my appointment I told them about my nails breaking within a week & said I would like those fixed, they agreed to fix them for free, & ombre with regular polish (I have had this before many times but never at this specific salon) she said that was no problem. I accidently exited on NW Expressway instead of britton & had to backtrack- making me 9 minutes late. When I showed up I told them I needed a fill with ombré polish, as I did on the phone, & was brought to sit down. I was then told "since you're 15 minutes late, the man who was going to do your nails left so you're going to have to wait 20-30 minutes" I checked the time on my phone right then & said "I am only 10 minutes late but okay." I instantly seemed to get attitude from the woman for being 10 minutes late. I was annoyed that the man couldn't wait 10 minutes after my appointment time, & that I wasn't called to check in before he left or to let me know that he was leaving or anything. I waited patiently to get my nails done. As I began to get my nails done, the woman again asked if I wanted regular polish or gel & I said I wanted ombré, she said she can't do ombré. I told her the woman on the phone said they could, as well as being told they could at my last appointment & she said she didn't have the "machine" to do it. When I had ombré done at another salon, there was no machine- they used a sponge. But the woman said she wouldn't do it & said the woman on the phone didn't know what she was talking about. Since I wanted ombré, I NICELY told her to just fix my nails and I would go to get them ombréd at the salon I had gone to before. She was clearly annoyed & began speaking with a coworker in a very annoyed tone while raising her voice, which I didn't appreciate at all. She was rushing to do my nails, there were only two workers & I was the only customer left. It was only 6pm and they close at 7pm. As my nails were filled, she continued speaking with a co-worker who walked back into the employee only break room, & my woman got up to follow her, leaving me there in the shop alone with my nails unfinished. She eventually came back & continued doing my nails. At 6:23 they turned off the front lights in the shop. The woman eventually finished my nails & asked again if I wanted polish, I said no, she then told me to go wash my hands. When I was done, my woman was at the front desk with the other co-workers (the front desk woman had just showed back up to cash out the employees) I was thinking "am i done?" because she did not say a word to me other than to go wash my hands. I went to the desk and was checked out by the front desk woman. I was charged full price for a fill, $30 (most salons only charge $20) & asked if I was being charged full price even though I did not get polish because I was told they could do ombré then my woman refused to do it. She said yes, as they dont take off price if someone doesn't want polish and threw it in my face that "we already fixed your broken nails for free." Which they did, because they were done poorly previously. I was so beyond done at this point so I said okay and paid the full price and left. I have never been so disrespected and made to feel unwanted & like a burden by a salon in my life. They were not apologetic for ANY part of my experience. I left by 6:40, again they close at 7, and was so rushed the entire time. My thumb is completely uneven and the shapes are inconsistent. This morning (the day after) cooking breakfast, I had another nail break and one tip melted. I will never go back, even to fix these. do not go here, LOW QUALITY PRODUCTS, DISRESPECTFUL TO CUSTOMERS. no wonder they are always so empty. I will go back to mint-they are always packed but they care about their work, clearly by their customer turn out. pictures below. read more
