This place is exactly what I've been looking for! Hubs and I had a day date and this was one of our stops- it was so quiet and relaxing, not a lot of nonsense chatter like most places. It wasn't hot and stuffy, I was comfortable with the heated neck wrap ( I run hot). He did exactly what I wanted with my design, listened to me when I told him I couldn't do the toe spacers bc my feet are so narrow... I have been coming here since I moved to okc last summer. The last few times I have booked and the service is always delayed. Today I simply had emotional walked out. Only to be told by the receptionist that I should have booked with an individual and not first available. BUT I had an appt at 2:00. Walk ins should be managed around actual appts. So now I will look for a new place. Just very disrespectful of people's times. And I have witnessed this same occurrence the last 2 times I was here. People walking. Had an appointment. Unfortunately I had to leave after waiting 30 minutes for my appointment to start. And yet, the place seemed almost empty. The nail salon just a few doors down was much busier, and yet they were able to start on me immediately as a walk in. I should've left sooner. Receptionist did the pedicure without informing the customer that she was not trained as a nail technician. She did not know what she was doing. My heel is inflamed and in pain. This is a delayed review. I had made my manicure appt online because I had seen so many cute pics of their nail art. My "manicure" was messy, dip layers were thick, & didn't include any kind of care for cuticles + nail beds, lotion, wax... just the paint/dip. The nail art by itself was super cute & pretty near perfect. Unfortunately, the art was on messy thickly dipped nails with zero care given to the nail beds or cuticles... so at that point, who cares how cute the art is. Went right back for them to take it off but they instead offered to 'clean it up' implying I hadn't asked for an actual manicure... what?? Went to a different salon that afternoon to have them redone -- an "actual manicure" for cheaper at Butterflies. Expensive & disappointing. read more

I've been here a few times due to the convenience of the location. I loved how they offer drinks and snacks prior to getting my nails done. They are a little busy, so at times the wait is a little long. I've gotten pedicures and manicures from here. The staff is friendly, welcoming, and will listen to what type/style I'm waiting. Luckily for me, I'm pretty plain jane. I usually do a simple color and choose a simple choice of treatment. I would say it's probably easier to go during a slow/down time. It seems hard to set and appt while taking walk-ins too, especially when they're trying to meet the needs of everyone. Overall, great experience! read more

I'm feeling a little bummed about my experience at Filed today. I have been coming to Filed for a long time-- even got my nails for my wedding there. I have never had a bad experience. Today I was getting gel done and the nails were looking patchy so the tech told me she was doing a 3rd coat, which I said "okay!" too. She then just did a top coat, and I asked afterwards if we could please do that third coat because they were a little patchy. I do understand that it's annoying to have to put in the 5 extra minutes to file off the top coat, but I was very apologetic, and just wanted it to look nice because it's expensive. She was incredibly rude to me, even turning to coworkers to talk about it, who were all trying to make me feel better. I apologized, telling her that I didn't mean to be difficult, to which she rolled her eyes and said "well I asked you!", I reminded her that I said ok to the third coat, and even tried to apologize, telling her I might have misunderstood. The rest of the manicure was really unpleasant. She was clearly really mad at me, and was pushing my hands away once she applied polish. I could understand if I was rude to her. But I simply wasn't. The other tech next to her was kind enough to ask if I liked the nails or not, while she said nothing to me. I'm not one to complain or ask for something different usually, but I did today, thinking I would be met, ultimately, with a desire to have a happy customer. Instead I felt very uncomfortable, and was treated really poorly. I will return to filed because I have generally had a good experience, but the last 2 times I've been have been less than stellar. I hope that these are just flukes. read more

Filed Nail Salon in Edmond on Covell, has untrained staff, male nail tech cut and then filed my nails so short my fingers/cuticles bled and were raw, then days/weeks since my service on 4/27, my nails are separating from my nail bed and I have a nail fungus. The manager there was extremely rude when I went to discuss concerns with her, she refused to assist me or give refund of service. I posted google review immediately after service but posting here as well as an alert to others. Some of the techs there may be fine, but the young man that did this to me should not be allowed to work on anyone. I have placed a formal complaint with the cosmetology board. read more

I went in yesterday for a manicure and pedicure. I spent $40 on a pedicure to still have a callus. When I had left I had noticed that there were imperfections in the paint, the chrome had been filed off on the sides, and was displeased with the way the thickness looked on the nails (from the paint). I called this morning and asked if I could come back in to have the color changed due to the previously mentioned. They said sure come in and we will fix it. I came back in and had the color changed which actually turned out well. when I went to tip they tried to charge me $70 for the color change and color removal. I spent over $150 yesterday to have my service corrected. They acted as if they were doing me a favor by only charging me for the color change of $50. Their menu at the checkout said color change is 25/20 which apparently is outdated. Needless to say I paid an arguable $45 fee for a service that should not have been needed. There are what appears to be little bubbles on the top coat and little "scratch" marks where the chrome did not adhere. Don't waste your money for services that you can get somewhere else without needing retouching, lower prices, and more courteous staff. $200 for nails that are worth half that price. read more

I went in with high expectations and unfortunately they were not at all met. I made an appointment online and ended up being there over two hours because they overbooked and did not get to me in time. Once I was finally seated three different nail techs took turns doing my nails. this not only was unprofessional but made for a very uncomfortable experience. not only that, I was moved to a different chair twice. when i showed the nail tech the simple design (the photo was a screenshot from their instagram advertising the design) she was aggressive and rushed. so I paid $70 for dip on natural nails with a design on one finger that looked very messy and not at all what the picture showed. I am very disappointed, and I doubt I will return. If you are looking for a relaxing experience with reasonable prices I would not recommend Filed in Edmond on Covell. read more
