Here are reviews of two doctors that really made a difference in my health. Very very impressed with both Dr. Young and Dr. Picazo, who both work in pulmonology critical care. I met them both at the end of my hospital stay after I had initially been admitted to the ICU during a frightening, truly life-or-death medical crisis. Both doctors were knowledgeable, professional, and clearly highly talented physicians. Despite their obvious expertise, what stood out most was how personable, compassionate, and down-to-earth they both were. Both doctors surprised me with how relatable they were. I wrote to Evergreen's billing department this: I recently received a bill for $361.63 for an ER visit. My insurance covered $2,632.93 for it. That seems like fair compensartion for a 90-minute visit. Given that I'm retired and on a fixed income, is there any way that Evergreen can forgive the balance? Guess what they said: No. They offered a payment plan. Isn't over $2600 enough for a quick visit? This is what is wrong with our healthcare system. Sheer greed. I think I'll choose another provider in the future.

After she had left the facility I was checked on by staff and assured she had been removed and I was in no way at fault. My case manager had come to check on me, who should have been home by 1030 pm. The next day i was told I was being discharged due to "antagonizing" the patient. I have MANY witnesses who strongly disagree. After being told of the unwarranted discharge, where I was unprotected, Renee, who is in charge of ?? tried to upsell their IOP program! They called my family to let them know, packed my belongings immediately, which I could not access including my phone, and while on their house phone frantically trying to get a ride, I was told I had met my 5 minute phone time elimit. I was extremely vulnerable due to my years of addiction and alcoholism, and in shock that they would do this to a patient under their care! Needless to say, I went out w many choice words.
