Being new in town, I was in search of a great stylist. I tried someone highly recommended and it was a bust. And expensive. I reached out to my former stylist in Nashville and she did some homework. Bless her heart. She recommended I try Verde Eco Salon. They use top of the line products that few use in this area. I called and left a message. Tanya, the owner got back with me and I booked an appointment with Eric. (They are in a temporary location, but don't let that dictate your decision on whether or not to book with them.) My appointment was with Eric. I got a great cut and a partial highlight which added some depth I desperately needed. I have a TON of hair and most stylists are intimidated by it. I told Eric he could do whatever he wanted. He made a suggestion and off we went. When he was finished, my hair looked like a photo I'd torn from a magazine a while back. At the time I thought - I think this might be a good cut for me. Well, without knowing it, that's the cut he gave me. I took the hair leap today and cut about a foot of hair off. Eric was amazing and really knows his craft. I left the salon feeling confident and lighter (probably Bc I no longer have pounds of hair weighing me down lol) I already recommended him and verde eco salon to my sister. I don't know firsthand but all the other stylists looked like they were doing a great job also. They use natural hair products that smell so good and also leave my hair feeling so silky and voluminous. I definitely will be coming back here for my next cut or whatever other hair needs I have! Everyone in there was so welcoming and nice. Customer service was top notch and they even let me take my hair home as a souvenir lol Also side note : the bathroom was so fancy and I want to copy their decor in my own bathroom! Also they had huge paintings of gnomes on the walls where you get your hair washed.. and I love gnomes! So I knew I was in the right place lol Long story short though, make an appointment! I go here because it's amazing; every time I get my hair done, I'll have a stranger stop me and compliment me on my hair. Eric is the stylist I stick with now, as I am convinced he is some sort of wizard when it comes to cut and color. Plus, you're supporting a great local business in a fast-growing neighborhood, which is awesome. I've made appointments, got text confirmations, shown up and was told I wasn't on the schedule.when I voice concerns, the owner laughs at and mocks me. Horrible customer service. After faithfully coming to the salon for well over a year and a half, I made the mistake of telling my stylist Taylor that "I don't like it." My bad. I got fired from the salon. Told by the owner that my stylist "wasn't a good fit for me" but "that's ok." No, it's not OK. It's not OK that you didn't even try to fix what you guys messed up. No, it's not OK to dismiss someone who's been a long-time client because your stylist screwed her hair up. No, it's not OK to refuse to admit that you made a mistake! I even walked into the salon with my hair almost exactly like the inspiration picture. I left with flat-looking, mousy colored hair that was COMPLETELY different than what I asked and paid for. When I advised Taylor that I didn't like it--it just wasn't right (or anything like the photo and my original hair)-- she rolled her eyes at me. When I sent the pics to the manager/owner Tanya, she fired me as a client. I'm just astounded. All that was needed was, "I'm sorry we messed it up." instead, you left me with this as the only forum to leave any lasting impact. Just incredible. You should be ashamed of yourselves. And now people will know that you handle conflict like bratty little children. read more

I have been looking for a local hair salon for over 3 years. I was always going back to San Antonio, where I am from originally to my fav Solon there every few months. I found Verde Eco on Yelp. I was a bit hesitant but I am glad I went. It's a the cutest place ever. Love the decor. But more importantly love love my haircut. I went with an expectation and it came out even better. The girl who cut my hair, Abigail, she delivered what I asked for but even better. The salon uses eco friendly products and it smells amazing. I would definitely recommend this place. (Read to the end!) I went to this salon for a cut and balayage. I was so excited to find a salon with eco friendly/ vegan supplies because most places use products tested on animals! Well the stylist and I had some miscommunication and when my hair was finished I was in complete shock. It looked SO far from what I wanted and I was devastated because it was not cheap. I asked them to fix it by darkening the roots (it was all over highlights even up to the roots) but it was still too light and not at all what I wanted. I'd been at the salon for hours and just wanted to go home. I paid and left so upset. I called my husband crying and told him what happened. He sweetly called back to let them know what happened because he knew I wouldn't and Tanya was so sweet. She offered to refund the payment in full and set me up with the owner Ronny if I was willing to come back. she was so kind about it and not at all defensive. I went back and had my hair redone by Ronny. He did an amazing job!!! I'm so happy and relieved. It's a really great salon. I don't doubt the first stylists talent, we just weren't on the same page. The whole scenario just showed how much they truly care about their customers and not just about the money. I'll definitely be going back!! read more

The salon has a very artistic and eclectic atmosphere. One of the owners, Lisa, is extremely friendly and talkative and instantly makes you feel welcome. I recently became one of Corrie's regulars and she works wonders with my hair! I'm very particular about the layering and texture of my hair, and I barely had to describe what I wanted for her to give me one of the best cuts I've ever had. My only qualm is that the robes do not fit every body size. Other than that, Verde Eco is one of the best salons I've been to. I can't wait to see what else Corrie does to my hair. :) read more

Love this salon! My stylist, Corrie, is fabulous. She knows how to truly cut curly hair and her color techniques are right on. The salon itself is clean, modern and pretty. The owners and staff are super friendly and interactive. You can tell they take their work and techniques very seriously yet they have fun doing what they do! Prices are a tad higher than I was used to before, but it's still reasonable & worth it knowing I'm not going to get botched. It's also closer to my home and I enjoy supporting local talents. I went to Verde for a year or more consistently, I loved Eric and the color/cut he did. He is a extraordinary stylist, with the exception of his knowledge on donating Hair. I decided to grow my hair out to donate and then get a stylish short haircut. I was told that colored hair cannot be donated which is not true. Bleached hair cannot be donated, but colored or grey hair, especially for many children facing cancer, can be. This was my main reason for donating my hair. from a google search..."Oct 3, 2017 - Donating color treated hair is possible! Children With Hair Loss accepts dyed and gray hair, as long as it's at least 8 inches, and is in good condition. If your hair is healthy and you have very little split ends, you can donate color treated hair!" I emailed Verde Eco Salon and asked the owner to address this to all the employees and to let me know that they did that. I did not hear back from this simple request, but i sure did get emails asking to "make an appointment, we miss you". I emailed several times again with no response. I simply wanted to have this salon to know and advise staff that colored hair can be donated. I left a low mark due to the owners/management not acknowledging this and letting me know they addressed it. read more
