EXCELLENT SERVICE by both staff and doctors! They have gone above and beyond to help my husband get…read morethe treatment and medication he needed to resolve his dental issues. Highly recommend this office for the care and support we exeperienced.

SUMMARY ========= I…read moream extremely satisfied & grateful for my entire recent evaluation/consult and treatment/follow-ups experience provided by -- and HIGHLY recommend -- Dr. Kleinman and his staff at Northern Arizona Endodontics. REFERRALS ========== After confirming that recent swelling in my gum above the upper left front tooth was a reinfection of a 25-year-old root canal (following tooth death after a sports trauma), my Prescott dentist referred me to: (1) Northern Arizona Endodontics, where I was able to immediately get an evaluation & consult appointment within a couple of days; in addition to (2) an alternative practice that had a 2nd office in PV with FIVE endodontists, but where they couldn't get me in for an evaluation & consult for FOUR MONTHS! EVAL/CONSULT ============= During the initial evaluation & consult, Dr. Kleinman used some amazing 3D-imaging technology to diagnose and visually detail (able to rotate along three axes) the issue: the infected tooth's crown screw post -- gold-plated, lead-free brass old technology IIRC) -- had originally pierced both the unusually curved root into and through the tooth, penetrating a small distance into the gum (kind of a minor miracle that it didn't become infected sooner!). Dr. Kleinman explained that he could try to save the tooth & crown by: (1) cleaning out the infected area; (2) shaving the protruding screw post back into the root; (3) filling the tooth; (4) performing a precautionary apicoectomy on that tooth root while in there surgically to minimize potential future infection; and filling the missing bone with medication to promote bone regrowth. To his credit, he told me he expected the odds of ultimate long-term success to be 50/50. APPOINTMENT ============= The surgery was initially scheduled for three months out; the Front Office Manager, Christi, explained that because Dr. Kleinman was one of the few (possibly the only, but don't recall exactly) endodontists in Northern AZ who accepted insurance -- he was in high demand. I explained that I didn't have insurance and would be paying cash -- and asked if they had a wait-list I could get on in case of cancellations? She said "Yes," added me to it, explained that if she called in the future I needed to answer (as she wouldn't be leaving voicemails) -- and to my great surprise and joy phoned the next day saying there was a cancellation and opening the following week, which I of course accepted (requesting sick leave from work). SURGERY ========= Dr. Kleinman descriptively explained each action he performed during the surgery -- and the assistants worked well in coordination. He prescribed some NSAIDs and pain-killers (which I decided to forego), and kindly gave me his personal phone # explaining that I could call him if there was subsequent bleeding so we could do additional emergency suturing -- as it was very important to prevent reinfection during the healing process. He provided me with a written list of instructions to follow --which I REALLY appreciated. FOLLOW-UPS ============ We serially scheduled and I was x-rayed at subsequent appointments (initially to check for reinfection) -- and finally six months after the surgery, x-rays showed continual bone regrowth with a little space left to fill. Prognosis: SUCCESS! Dr. Kleinman explained that the first year after surgery is the most vulnerable to reinfection -- and of course to contact the office again if any pain infection, bleeding or other issues arose around that tooth. THANK YOU Dr. Kleinman for saving that tooth! I really wasn't looking forward to having to choose between an implant and a bridge ...

Nothing like a root canal to start your day! Oh well, it happens. Dr. Leiendecker did a thorough…read moreevaluation of the tooth and recommended a root canal. The tooth (a molar with 3 roots) was crowned so she drilled right down and did her thing. I had some pain during the procedure and she stopped, juiced me up and went back to work. Some mild discomfort that evening but I felt OK the next morning. My general dentist was able to patch the crown so that didn't have to be replaced. I would go back to her, I just hope I never have to!

For the past 6 days, I have been dealing with one of the worst pain episodes in my life. One of my upper left tooth started to give me immense trouble while I was flying to Austin (I did go to an ER in Austin for a temporary solution) and being that it was Memorial Day weekend (translates to FML), I had to wait 5 days pumped full of pain meds and antibiotics before I finally got a diagnosis and some treatment. I did manage to go to another dentist in town, but that wasn't very helpful. I actually then called Dr. Crane's office and they suggested I visited Dr. Leiendecker's office. I called her office yesterday morning and they were able to get me in today. The office sent me an email to fill out forms beforehand (easy process) and today when I came for the appointment, I just had to sign a few forms. Dr. Leiendecker (and her assistant) were great with me! She explained everything to me and told me also that she didn't think a root canal was actually necessary and wanted to make sure I was doing the best thing for my teeth and also didn't want me to spend so much money. Wow, I was really so shocked how caring she was with me. Its been a long time since I met a doctor like her. I highly recommend her if you need an endodontist. I wish I could make her my general dentist because she gives such good care. I'm so grateful that she helped me today, made the pain go away and made sure my tooth would be ok. Thanks so much Dr. L for everything.
