Her experience was one of the most frustrating and disappointing interactions with a physician that our family has ever encountered. Dr. Spearing's bedside manner was consistently poor. He often seemed dismissive of concerns, unwilling to listen, and lacking in basic follow-through. One of the most unbelievable and recurring issues was his habit of leaving the exam room, saying he would return, and then never coming back. This happened so frequently that my mother eventually addressed it directly during an appointment. As he was preparing to leave the room, she told him that he had a habit of saying he would come back and then never returning. His response was, "I promise, promise I'll be right back." He then walked out and never came back. My mother was absolutely stunned. To have that happen immediately after it was brought to his attention was both shocking and incredibly unprofessional. Another incident that raised serious concerns involved blood work. My mother specifically asked about her blood sugar results and was told everything was fine. She later discovered that her blood sugar had not even been tested. Learning that he had provided reassurance about something that apparently had not been checked completely eroded our confidence in the care being provided. There also seemed to be constant turnover among the nursing staff. Nearly every appointment involved a different nurse, making it difficult to establish any consistency or continuity of care. Patients deserve a physician who listens, communicates clearly, follows through on commitments, and treats people with respect. Unfortunately, that was not my mother's experience. She frequently left appointments feeling dismissed, frustrated, and unheard. Based on what our family experienced, I would not recommend Dr. Spearing to anyone seeking attentive, patient-centered medical care.

I was in severe pain and repeatedly expressed that to Dr. Natasha Boydstun and Nurse Brenda. My pain was dismissed from the beginning. I was told to "just take Tylenol and ibuprofen" and that was the extent of their pain management plan. After receiving a tetanus shot (my first since 1998), I was told I would be sent home with basic bandaging supplies and Surgifoam for aftercare. They never gave it to me. Let me be clear: when someone is in severe pain and likely in shock, it is not their responsibility to remind medical staff to provide the supplies they themselves said they would give. That is basic follow-through and basic care. When my pain worsened, I called multiple times asking for help. Instead of addressing it, I was told I would need to go to the ER to be reevaluated for the same pain I had reported from the start. There was no empathy, no accountability, and no urgency. I have never felt so dismissed by a medical team in my life. I would NEVER recommend this facility to anyone seeking basic competent and compassionate care. Ironically, my pharmacist showed more compassion and concern than the medical team who treated me. She took the time to listen and speak to me kindly, something I never received at this urgent care. And honestly, after this experience, it's no surprise the ratings for this location are so low. I would NOT recommend being seen by either of those two medical so-called professionals to anyone in the community seeking urgent care.

While Dr. Doan is a bright and caring doctor, the overall patient experience he provides is poor…read more My biggest complaint it timeliness and respect for the patients. Here's how my recent visit went: 1:55 PM - His nurse, Amy Markley, calls to tell me there's been an accident and traffic is bad near the hospital. Despite my appointment not being til 3:40 PM, I tell her I'll be sure to leave early. She says that they're actually slow right now, so I can come anytime. 2:20 PM - I get checked in and am sitting in the waiting room. 2:40 PM - Despite being "slow", I finally get called back to an exam room after 20 minutes of waiting. 3:25 PM - Dr. Doan finally is able to sit down with me. In case you didn't do the math, that's over an hour of waiting after being told they "were slow and I could come in anytime"! At this point, my cell phone is dead and my patience is gone. Now, I know what you're thinking. (1) It's a doctor's office, and they're usually never on time. I say that's BS. It's called an appointment for a reason. Keeping a someone waiting for over a hour is disrespectful, no matter what profession you're in. What makes their time more valuable than mine? Nothing! Again, it's just disrespectful. (2) Sometimes emergencies come up and a doctor can get behind on his schedule. Okay, I understand that. But really, an hour?! AFTER being told by the nurse that they "were slow and I could come anytime". And during my wait, I was never told they were suddenly running behind or that another patient was having an issue. I was left just sitting there. As a resolution, before I left, Dr. Doan offered to have a Patient Representative from Sharp Rees-Stealy contact me. Three work days later, I still hadn't been contacted. Just disrespectful. SMH.
