Thanks to Hurricane Ian I needed a new roof put on my house. I contacted the company who put a new roof on my house two years ago due to high wind damage and my insurance company accepted them with no questions. They gave me a bid and my insurance company turned it down. Like many victims of Ian my insurance company turned it down and was told they were sending one of their adjusters to take a look and I had to use one of their "approved" roofing companies. The one they selected for me was Veritas Roofing, Inc out of Orlando. My experience with Veritas was very positive from beginning to the finish of the project. First it was contact with their office individuals. They were very helpful the contracts and any questions I had. Each time I had contact with them they made me feel like I was the most important person to them and were there when I needed them. My next contact was with the field supervisor appointed to my project. Alex was very friendly, courteous and very personable. He too walked me through the process, assisted with color selection, and answered any questions I had. Due to all the roof's, they needed replace due to Ian he consistently stayed in touch with me concerning when it looked like they would begin on my roof. When he gave me, the official start date several days he asked me to make sure my cars were not in my driveway due to supplies being delivered and for the trash bin to be dropped off. Next came the individuals who would do the work during this "heat wave" we are currently experiencing. They all were very pleasant, respectful, and gracious. Gracious and thankful as the first morning I noticed their ice chest had no top on it with two bags of ice on it. With this heat by the time of their first break their water and juice would be warm. I opened my garage door and offered to let them use my freezer to cool down their drinks. The smiles on their faces and thanks, even though there was a language barrier, demonstrated how thankful they were. During breaks and lunch, they used my garage to get out of the sun. One afternoon we got a traditional mean thunder and rainstorm and to be safe and not have to work in wet clothes they used the garage for safety. Now the most important part is the respect I gained for the roofers for several reasons. One was how hard they worked in this heat. When it was time to work, they worked and I was amazed how much they accomplished after a 12 to 13 hour day. The second was when the job was completed each one thanked me for what I offered them. Lastly and most important is the great job they did on my roof! I hope I don't have to have a new roof in the future. Unfortunately, if I do my first call will be to Veritas Roofing! I had two outdated plastic leaky skylights that needed replacing. Veritas's Jim Braddy's estimate was lower than the other two estimators? I almost bypassed them thinking the low price was due to an inferior brand. Spoke to Jim and turned out the skylights he uses are the same high quality make as the other estimators. The job was completed timely. The work crew, father and son did a great job putting up the skylights and cleaning up after. Jim came out to look at a leak we had noticed. Many roofers would have jumped at the opportunity to diagnose a problem that would have incurred costly repairs, but he calmly told us that it was a couple brackets for the solar pool heating panels that had come loose and needed to be replaced and resealed, no roof repair necessary.
