We had used Lundberg in the past, but we were offered a "deal" in getting a new roof. Boy did we learn our lesson. After having a new roof installed by this other company, Lundberg Roofing had to come out and fix all their mistakes. The issues focused on improper work around the chimney, and installation of a vent which caused heavy leaking. The other company couldn't seem to figure out what they did wrong. It's a long ugly story, but our advice is to use a company with solid history, great reviews, wonderful customer service, fair prices, and excellent workmanship. That company is Lundberg. David Lundberg Roofing did an excellent roofing job for us! The person who came out to give us a quote was clear and concise and gave a fair estimate. The office staff were just as helpful. We looked at this company's previous roofing projects and they all looked great! I liked the fact that the people who do the roofing are employees and not sub-contractors. The two men who came out to do the roofing, Ron and Tim, worked really well as a team. They arrived at work at 8:00 am and worked until 5:00 pm and worked hard the entire day through. They kept us informed as to their work and as they worked they cleared up, so there was no mess throughout the day. They cleaned up well at the end of the day. They tarped the flower beds and lawn as they were stripping the roof and so few nails made it into the lawn. When they finished they double checked for nails and at the end the owner came and checked for nails one more time. He also came to inspect the men's work and we appreciated that! The roofing result was spectacular as the men worked with precision with each step. The company brought supplies as requested and took the trash away on a regular basis. This is not a funny review - a leaky roof is patently unamusing. But unless your roof leaks every other week, you need help - who're you gonna call?? (First one who says "Ghost Busters!" gets a pail of the leaked water dumped on him!) Thanks to Yelp, I found David Lundberg. Sure I was disappointed they could not come out right away, and that it took a few more days to fix it, but it is not their fault they're busy. They did everything as promised or better. I was pleased with the professional way that David himself came out and did the estimate, and the faster-than-promised repairs. It's so important to get trustworthy trades people, cuz you know what? If he said I need a new roof, I would really have no way of knowing it's the truth. Not too many people bother to get a second opinion. People who are honest deserve to be recognized and recommended. They finished the work without needing me to be in the house. And I didn't even have to pay! Oh, alright - if you must see past my verbal shenanigans, David said he's send the bill in the mail. $575. Because of the positive experience years ago, in 2022 when my roof began to leak I called David, and his staff and crew gave me the same quality of work, seamless experience, and professionalism. I wanted to send you a note of thanks and statement of recommendation for the wonderful work that was completed for my recent roof replacement. I have owned many houses, some my home some rental properties all over Florida. When I called Lundberg roofing to give an estimate on a small rental property I own in Winter Park Florida he was out there the next day, sent me a written estimate, and put the roof on all in 2 weeks! The work he performed and the appearance of the roof is excellent and shows pride in a job well done. This house he reroof was in terrible condition when I purchased it a year ago. It had an old chimney that was leaking and had wood rot on the gables of the house. Thanks to yelp I looked into David Lundberg Roofing to replace my entire roof. It was needed, knew I had to bite the bullet. The staff is friendly, met with Larry one of the contractors a few times, nice gentleman. I had gotten 4 other quotes and David Lundberg offered the best deal hands down. They finished the job in a week, didn't bother me at all, and thats about it. The only reason I don't give them 5 stars is because I just had the roof done a few weeks ago and want to see how the condition is for a few months to make sure nothing is wrong with the craftmanship, BUT it does look very nice so far! read more

My mother had a great experience last year hiring David Lundberg Roofing to do a total reroof for her home. So they were at the top of our list to call when we noticed a leak this week. Feeling a bit of a time crunch since I am nine months pregnant, we called a few different places recommended to us this week to try to get someone to come look at it. David Lundberg was the only one to not simply tell us they'd call us back but actually book an appointment for us. Apparently they don't subcontract out at all so that perhaps made the process smoother for us? I know my mom loved that part of their service for her reroof. They stopped by right on time, were professional and friendly, checked out our situation, and less than 15 minutes later found the nail gone bad, and sealed our roof! I am ecstatic. We had major roof damage from hurricane Irma. It was believed our roof was hit by a tornado. The damage was traumatizing. We called David Lundberg roofing and they came out the day after the damage. Mr. Lundberg tarped our roof. I was so pleased that he made our house a priority to get a tarp up there. He was a nice guy and we got an estimate. I liked him instantly. We obtained four other estimates and his was not the least expensive; but, very reasonable. We worked with them to finalize the details and they were on our roof within a few weeks. They did not take great care during the removal of the nails and shingles. I had tons of nails in my pool and shingle pieces were everywhere. Black scrape marks on my lanai from them dropping them off the roof and some ended up in my neighbors yard/pool. I was pleased that they completed the roof in 4 days. And I was more than pleased with the quality of the roof. The roof is beautiful. It passed inspection and it looks great. My only complaint at that point was sloppy debris disposal with the excessive nails/shingles everywhere. If they would have actually used any of the half dozen tarps they had balled up in my yard -around my home to catch the debris I think the cleanup would not have taken days and several complaints by us. I was a satisfied customer at that point and would have left a 4 star review only addressing the debris/cleanup. All that was left for the transaction was paying the final bill. We promptly paid half upon delivery of goods and the other half was due after inspection. Sadly so starts the downward spiral. Florida's construction lien law is stacked up against consumers. If a supplier or subcontractor isn't paid, they can file liens against the home and force the homeowner to pay twice. So as a consumer how do you protect yourself? Well under the Florida law there are things you can do prior to final payment. Obtain a non conditional lien release from the supplier and a contractors affidavit from the roofing company. David Lindbergh roofing office had no problem supplying the lien release from the supplier. However, initially they refused to complete the contractors affidavit. The nuts and bolts of the contractors affidavit says that everyone who worked on our roof hired by them, either subcontractors, laborers or suppliers have been paid by them. This notarized document from them protects us from anyone coming back and saying they were not paid by the roofing company and putting a lien on our home for double payment. As the contractor David Lundberg roofing ordered the supplies and provided the labor. I had no idea who was to be paid. Thats why the contractors affidavit simply had their company validate that everyone has been paid. Seems simple enough. But, they would not complete the contractors affidavit without a major fight from us. They did provide us a document that said that we did not owe them directly any more money. I guess because they used their own employees they did not wish to complete the contractors affidavit. But, the statute breaks it down really simply. We hired them - they hired other people. So the affidavit just says everyone got paid. Other than asking me if I did not trust them why did we hire them-I have no idea why it was such a fight. I guess their office felt that what they gave us was sufficient. While taking someones word is how I wish we could do business- the only way to truly protect yourself is by getting documents. It is not personal - it is business. As I said they did finally provide the document after several days of back and forth. As a homeowner I feel protected now. If you are considering any contractor just make sure you know the law to protect yourself. Each contractor does have to comply with the law. Do not feel afraid to stand your ground to protect your assets. Sadly for us the quality of their job was completely overshadowed by having to fight for a simple form thru the Florida statue that they for days refused to notarize for our peace of mind and protection. read more

During heavy rains from Hurricane Fay, my roof started leaking! Boo! I knew the roof was in it's final days, but this expensive repair just couldn't come at a worse time. Anyways, my friend recommended David Lindbergh, so I left a message to schedule an estimate asap. Since I was freaking out I called back three hours later and the receptionist, explaining that they had been slammed since the rain started, apologized for not calling back sooner. I laughed because I could hear the phone ringing off the hook in the background. That woman must be an angel because she started to schedule my inspection for Monday, but when she heard the fear and desperation in my voice she agreed to send someone out the very next day--SATURDAY. The guy gave me an estimate to repair just the leak and also to re-roof the entire house. Both estimates were less than I expected and $500 less than the second opinion. I told the guys I needed a few days to decide exactly what to do, so they replaced my amateur tarp job with a professional tarp to tie me over. The guys also felt bad that I had tried to tarp the roof myself, so they gave me a huge discount on that work. What great guys! read more

I've hired David Lundberg twice now; once to replace a patio roof and once to replace my chimney, which was rotted and leaking. The first job, the patio roof, ended up going over the estimated cost due to some unforeseen damage. It was more than I had budgeted and they were very accommodating as far as letting me work out a payment plan for the difference. This last job, the chimney, required that the crew move one of my solar panels for my pool heater. In doing so, not realizing how old and delicate my system was, one of the workers broke the manual on/off valve for the solar heating system. I told Wendy in the office about it, and had a guarantee within minutes that Dave would pick up the tab. I had the valve replaced and they paid for it, no questions asked. It's easy to give a good review when everything goes as planned, but it's really saying something when you can give a good review even when something goes wrong. They stand by their work and provide excellent customer service by truly taking care of their customers. They have a customer for life in me! read more

Once again, David and company to the rescue! I'm trying to stretch out my roof as long as I can before I need to reroof. Thanks to the monsoon season of Florida, I sprung another leak and of course, it was over the weekend. Left a message, got a return call Monday and David came out to take a look. Had an estimate within 15 minutes for 2 different options, both reasonable priced. Decided to schedule and was told it could be up to a week to get someone to fix it, which was no problem. To my surprise, I came home from work the next day to find the job DONE. No debris, no signs anything was done except a pretty roof and an invoice in the door.
