I called and stated I had a MiFI hotspot and needed info since I couldn't find pricing online or GB amounts. The person I talked to seemed to not be interested in helping me with info. Like he wanted to get a phone call for an immediate sale of a phone. Very poor sales approach. I could hear it in his voice and his willingness to provide information. Like he couldn't wait for me to hang up or hand me off. He also couldn't give me the info I requested and had no interest in providing or asking someone by the tone of his voice, like he was done with me. I have 100 phones on my ATT account and we talked about switching, but I don't throw it out there because I want to know if people working are truly helping customers or only give time of day if you say you will buy. I ordered a new Motorola Droid Turbo phone online and set it for pickup at this store. After doing that, I happened upon the reviews here and was a little frightened. But, after getting to the store at 10AM, I was the 2nd person in and was taken care of right away, by Ray. An excellent experience with Ray as he knew what he was doing, was very quick and thorough and had my phone activated in no time. I also noticed that as I left, at around 10:20 or so, that there were only 4 other customers so, going to the store closer to when it opens, on a weekday if you can do it, might be the best way to go. I am mostly happy with the "Cell coverage"... Although challenging periodically. My concern is Verizon screwed up my bill for the second time in recent months to the tune of roughly $400. When calling to discuss they again guaranteed me they would fix it but the person on the other line "Nick" wanted to argue with me the entire time. As you can imagine I've already been on hold 30+ minutes, this $400 error was to be corrected six months ago, then Nick wants to argue over who's responsibility the error was trying to put it on me. Now I'm frustrated with my bill as well as this clown trying to make it seem like the billing error was my fault. I currently have (4) lines with Verizon, if this continues I will have zero with Verizon. I guess customer service is something the other mobile companies practice. read more

Go to another Verizon, don't waste your time or money here. Poor management they allow their staff to be lazy! I live in Vegas my parents live in AG and both got new phones at this location. They called me asking for help since the staff at this Verizon couldn't even help them. The lazy staff gave them a stupid piece of paper and said when you get home walk through the steps to transfer your info. Seriously? You couldn't even help them by showing how to transfer their info to iCloud so they could easily upload their info to their new phones. It's takes two seconds!!! My Verizon here in Vegas gladly walked me through it to make sure I left with all my info on my new phone. I walked out a very happy customer because of it! Take note and get rid of your lazy instructions! This is a small town you have time to spend with customers not send them away with a piece of paper of instructions that took longer to read and understand then to walk the customer through it in person! Bozos at this store LIED to us about getting our same number back after losing a phone. Yes, you can! They made us sign up for another line, costing us more, and while I was able to cancel the third line the next day, I will get charged for it for two days. Worst of all, the jerk at Verizon assigned a new email address, changed his Apple ID, making us unable to get mail, apps, etc. oh yeah--we had to order a phone. I got notification from UPS that it had been delivered and signed for by someone at the store, on a Thursday. My husband called guy who'd "helped" us on his cell, but he wasn't working and couldn't say if the phone was there. Repeated calls to the store resulted in only getting voicemail, which no one responded to. So, he drove up to AG (we live in Santa Maria), and was told no, it had not been delivered. Due to the holiday, we called again on the 2nd and told the phone was "just delivered a few minutes ago" despite our getting notification from UPS four days earlier. Just went in their to buy a wireless charger. It was only a little busy and they couldn't handle It at all. The guy in front of me asked a customer server where all the workers were and the guy gave him a smart ass reply. They didn't take my name down for nearly 30 minutes. One of the workers went through the side and he was about to help some people at the front and I let him know I still haven't been help. He tried to continue going to the people at the front until they said "seriously, why don't you help this guy first." They sold me a 50 phone screen protector, put it on and told me if it broke to come back in, just save the box. It broke within 4 weeks and I came back in (with the box!) and they told me it had to be registered and replaced through the company. They showed me the registration card in the box- which says only that if you register it will pay 100 towards a broken screen. They said there was no manager in the store until August. read more

I have no idea why, but Linsey, the store manager, was incredibly rude to my husband and me this morning when we came in to check on upgrading to new iphone. We came in right when they opened, and Linsey was helping one customer, and one customer was waiting ahead of us. Edgar checked us in at the door, as they do here. It is normal for the person checking you in to see what they can do for you while you're waiting. There was no one waiting after us, so Edgar tried looking up information for us. Linsey reprimanded him in front of us for helping us ahead of the other person waiting. She reprimanded him again for pointing to what phones to check out while we were waiting, because he had to remain at his post by the door. Really??!! So we sat on a bench and waited quietly. When it was our turn, another customer walked in the door. Linsey skipped over us, promptly went and helped him, and told Edgar, who was brand new, and just told he wasn't allowed to help us, to now leave his post at the door and help us. What in the world??!! Edgar was very nice and professional, but there is no way we would spend thousands of dollars at a store where the manager just purposefully ignored us! Went to this Verizon store to have a screen protector put on my phone that has Verizon service. I was told that "due to policy" and "wait times" they no longer put screen protectors on for customers. If that's really a Verizon policy shame on Verizon. This store has gone downhill and is really about customer dis-satisfaction, not customer satisfaction. What ever happened to making the customer happy? Their lame excuse is that people complained their screen protectors were not put on correctly. I'm sure they piss of a lot more people by not helping put them on than the 1% who might have complained! Never coming back to this store! I do not recommend this store to anyone!! Like many people, I run my entire businesses pretty much through my cell phone while on the go. My phone glitched a virus during the worst timing ever! Locked me out of my own phone entirely, managed to change my line over to an old phone I had. Problem, NO CONTACTS transferred over. I have in the past had long wait lines at this store, and always walked out with less money I walked in with! This visit, I walked in, Gerry greeted me, did some very fast magic on my phone. I had lost all passwords connected to Verizon, no problem. Gerry retrieved every contact (at least 1000) in maybe 10 minutes! No charges, no fuss, just pleasant and professional. I called ahead of time got price quote $80 for Jet Pack Booster went to the 913 rancho pkwy store to purchase it and was told by Manager David Velazquez that now it would be $220+. I was shocked and could not believe he was trying to SCREW me during crises for $140 dollars extra because he can. Was very rude and not wearing mask nothing! I was in Uber and had to go to other Verizon store and bought same thing for $80 and found out that's what they go for. This place is a joke. I have had many terrible experiences with this store, but being the optimistic guy that I am, I kept visiting this location with hopes that I experience what the 5 star people on this review were saying. Unfortunately, I never experienced anything better than a 1. My latest (and my last) visit to the store was to get an upgrade. I was told to wait for someone because it was busy. Completely understandable, so I wait around and check out the phones while people are getting help. 45 minutes later, I finally get assistance. I was greeted by this really awkward young gentleman (wish I knew his name) who seemed to at least know his phones so that was good. However, when it came to plans and services, he was clueless! I told him about a plan that I wanted and he kept insisting that the plan that I was talking about didn't exist. Doesn't Verizon do training when they introduce new plans? I guess not because he had no idea what I was talking about and I had to show him the plan that I wanted. He continued insisting that the plan did not exist and tried to push the EDGE plan on me even though I told him that I wasn't interested. Then he gives me a low and high number comparison on what I'll be paying and then tells me which one do I want to pay. Okay, DON'T TALK DOWN ON ME LIKE A FREAKING IDIOT AND GET ME THE PLAN I WANT! Again, I told him that I didn't want the EDGE and to just give me the plan I wanted. He wanted to see what I was talking about so I showed him. Despite showing him what I wanted he tells me to wait for him and then disappears from me. By then, I have already been in the store for an hour and a half (even with the 45 minute wait, I should be either done or almost done by that point!) I observed my surroundings and realized that there were other people getting frustrated with the customer service. About 20 minutes later, he comes out again and tells me that the plan that I wanted does exist and he's sorry because he wasn't aware of it! HOW CAN HE NOT BE AWARE OF IT!? HE'S THE CONSULTANT! HE SHOULD KNOW MORE THAN I DO! Okay, we went from being in a bad start to a REALLY BAD start! For some crazy reason I agree with pursuing this further and getting my phone. We get the sale process started. By then I've already been in the store for 2 hours! The same frustrated folks were now starting to get noticeably irate. One guy got so frustrated, that he was shouting in the store, "THIS IS RIDICULOUS! THIS IS BY FAR THE WORST SERVICE I'VE EVER HAD! COME ON, HONEY! WE'RE GOING TO BOOST MOBILE!" In my head, I was thinking, "I should've done the same thing because this is ridiculous." The sales consultant takes his sweet time in there with no consideration that I've been in the store for 2 hours. By that point, I was getting IRATE! Finally, we got to the point where the new phone is activated. By then I've been in the store for 2 and a half hours! By then I was BEYOND PISSED! Two and a half hours to buy a phone!? What a joke! I've bought a car in less time that I did with my phone! So you think the story ends here? NO! This torture fest keeps going! Now he tells me to wait for him while he gets accessories! About 10 more minutes pass by (yes, I was looking at the time; he took his sweet time in there) and he whips out the accessories. I just told him to get some screen protectors and call it a day. He decides to install the screen protector after I told him that I'll do it and does a really POOR job at it! There were bubbles and dust under the screen! Now, he wanted to go over the features of the phone, but by then I was yearning for the sweet embrace of the grave! I was tired, starving, and LIVID! I did not want to be in the store anymore. I grabbed my phone and stormed out without even saying anything when he insisted that I activate an app that required my social security number (WHY THE HELL WOULD I WANT TO GIVE MY SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER TO AN APP I'M NOT INTERESTED IN USING!?) I was supposed to come home feeling excited about having a new phone. Instead, I threw my brand new phone in the backseat and screamed at the top of my lungs in my car while people watched and didn't touch the phone that whole day. I've had several bad experiences with this store but this visit was the final straw. The final straw that made me consider going to a different carrier and never look back! That whole day was just pure insanity and I seriously wonder how this store still stays in business! UPDATE: Made the switch to Google's Project Fi service when my contract ended and I could not be happier. The plan is MUCH cheaper than with Verizon. I was up and ready in 10 minutes, and have been enjoying my service since. Best of all, the couple times I needed assistance, the most I've had to wait was 5 mins.! Granted the coverage isn't as great as Verizon (goes through Sprint and T-Mobile), but for the areas that I'm normally in 90% of the time, it works great! Goodbye forever, Verizon! My hubby and I went in to upgrade our 2 phones - at 1st it was great the staff member knew the cell products and helped us pick out a phone. Then it became a nightmare - wen the "system" crashed.. I have been a Verizon customer for more than 12 years, and have purchased plans, phones, and accessories from the store over the years as a Verizon customer.For the most part, the customer service has been excellent. But, whether there have been management changes or a high turnover of employees, the recent experience there has been a nasty experience. My wife and I bought new iPhones and a new plan at the turn of the New Year. The salesman, Ray Sanchez, was courteous and helpful if not that familiar with Apple phones. During the activation process the sales person's name somehow ended up as my Apple ID on my Apple 5C phone. A few days later, I tried to purchase apps from the iTunes store. "Incorrect id and password" kept rejecting my attempts. Then, I noticed "ray sanchez @ ..." came back as the Apple Id that I needed a password was for to complete the transaction. I went back the next weekend to try to resolve the problem. A different salesman told me he could take care of it- great, thanks! He did a few things and told me the problem was taken care of. Two days later when I tried to update some apps on the phone I kept getting the incorrect password message again showing the "raysanchez@...." as the id password needed to update the apps. Three days later, I had enough time to return again to get this rectified. I waited 20 minutes to see the "raysanchez@... " actual person whose name was on my apple id for updating the apps. Again, another salesman came over and actually tried to solve the problem. After 3 promised solutions nothing changed. Ray denied ever putting his name on the id when he activated the phone. I asked who did. Still, frustrated I said I would go to the apple store to try to work out the issue. I walked out to my car, got in, sat there pissed off about the way I had been shuffled around over the past 2 weeks. So, I returned to the store angry and insulted. I was told by yet another salesman that they would have to wipe all the information off my phone and start over. I said really!?. In a very stern manner, he said that was the only way to solve the problem. That would mean 3-4 hours of replacing the info that I had on the phone. For the past 10 days, I have thought about venting my frustration with this experience which was handled with indifference toward solving the customer's problem. I am preparing to talk with Verizon online if I can get a live customer service rep to answer (tried twice- 20 minutes the first night followed the next day with a 15 minute try). This experience been a waste of hours with no satisfaction after this nightmare. I really feel "left out to dry" with this whole experience at this Verizon store. This new "smart phone" experience has not been a pleasant one. I could not recommend this store or Verizon right now for a new phone or plan. read more

I had a strange experience here today. I came to the Verizon store to configure my iPhone's built in eSIM. That will allow me to use another SIM card when I travel to Thailand next year. Surprisingly, they refused to do it! No explanation, just no. I called Verizon tech support and got it done right away. They even gave many tips about how to use the Thai phone company's SIM card. I have no idea what's wrong with this store's management but they definitely need to improve their attitude. There is no policy against using this feature. In the past I would have given this store 5 stars. I have elderly parents, a juvenile son, and a college aged daughter on my plan. I cannot tell you how many times in the last 7 years I have been to the store after a phone was accidentally laundered, lost, dropped into the toilet, driven over, dropped into the ocean, or needed to be upgraded. However, everything has recently changed. A few of the staff who have always been so kind and knowledgable are no longer in the store. I noticed that my Samsung Galaxy was not charging properly and went to the Verizon store to see if it could be repaired or replaced. The service representative put my phone on a "fast charger" that she selected from the display of accessories for sale, to see if she could power the phone up enough to figure out the problem. She noted that she had seen this particular problem frequently with this type of phone. She tried to replace it for me under Verizon warranty, but could not do so from the store. She suggested that I call Samsung and request that they repair the phone as the defect was known and well documented. Fortunately Samsung agreed and one week later my phone was returned to me. I charged it overnight and then took it to the Verizon store the following day to be activated. At the store I noticed that the battery was completely dead. "Erica" placed it on a charger and began the process of activating the phone. I asked her if she could tell me whether the phone was holding a charge. (You look at the screen and the percentage is displayed). She said it was not finished. I explained to her (again) why I was there with the phone and asked if she could check to see if the phone was charging. Rationale being that if the phone was not charging then the problem had not been resolved with the phone. When I attempted to communicate my concern I was treated as if I was a child. When I requested that the customer service rep put my phone on the same charging system that it had been placed a week earlier to diagnose the charging issue she told me there was no such thing. A manager came over, at my request, and told me to take him to the wall that displays accessories and select the item that I claimed to have seen used to charge my phone. Ridiculous! They argued with me as though I was a child. I finally had to ask the customer service rep, Erica, to quit arguing with me. She was rude, nasty, and muttering comments about "customers" under her breath. I left and called tech service. A new phone was instantly shipped to me. The tech apologized and said that the store should have replaced my phone because Samsung had repaired a "known defect". Apparently, the repair activates a whole new year of warranty. I'm sorry to see that the storefront has retained customer service reps who feel like it's my job to be a model customer. I came to have my phone activated and to problem solve. I was helped by a gentleman named Derelle today. I was very impressed by his eagerness to explain the best possible deal for me. It didn't stop there! He was very patient with me while I had my 5 month old with me to even go as far to go rinse his pacifier off when he spit it on the floor. He smiled when I was probably annoying because I couldn't remember any of my passwords but was really awesome about everything and wrote down step by step what I needed to do when I got home! By far the worst customer service I have ever experienced with any cell dealer. I would not recommend this location to any individual....not even my ex-wife. Honestly, if it weren't for there superior coverage in our area I would not recommend Verizon at all. We've gone into this location a few times, the customer service has always been blah, and the sales people are not good (understatement). But yesterday was baffling to me and events today were even more baffling and interesting. So there we were, shopping for a phone for the N-law. Sales person sales us on a phone and $5 savings per month. Sales person then sales us that I can upgrade early and also save an additional $5 per month, but the wife can't upgrade early because her phone is cracked. We say bummer, but cool, we will really save a total of $10 per month and get new phones. Yeah.....were reiterated over and over again that our plan nor our monthly billing would change. I mean seriously, it wasn't our first rodeo as this has happened before with this same store, and the wife is a nazi about the cell bill. Anywho, Sales person clearly states that nothing will change other than the additional savings. Cool...right. So sales person hooks the N-law up first, takes his money for the phone (taxes) and the accessory he bought. Sales person hands the wife a tablet and asks her to sign. Wife again, and again, and again reiterates that the bill won't change. Sales person says yup! Wife signs (it wasn't a new contract, it was a device payment agreement, nothing showing o new billing). Sales person walks in back to get my new phone or whatever she did back there, N-law leaves. Sales person comes out and informs us that she made a mistake and that our bill would not go down $5 dollars for each upgrade, but in fact go up $22 per upgrade. Even after we left the sale girl still didn't grasp the $44 total increase or the lie and deceitful sales tactic she tried to employ. Wife flips, I get pissed, asks for mgr. SP gos in back again. SP comes back out......no friggin mg, but proceeds to give me a business of Ozzy Ascencio, Solutions Mgr with hand writing on the back for a 6 month credit with a smiley face drawn on it.....yeah a friggin smiley face. I say didn't my wife ask you over and over again that our bill would not change. Yes sale person replies. I say, Okay, so my N-law will bring back his phone, we will return it, and will will take our business elsewhere. Sale girl proceeds to try to tell me that that deal is done, paid for, and in contract. I inform her that we are in Cali, I know we can return the phone. Sales person says, oh yeah, you have 14 days. I say, yeah, you forgot to include tat part and should have led with it. Sale person say, well, you will have to pay $35 restocking fee. I say, oh no we will not, you botched this entire thing with your deceit and my wife asked for a mgr, but the mgr would rather stay in the back and send his minion out. Sale person says, I'm offended you called me a minion and you are rude. The wife ushers me out of the store. So the wife yells at me for calling this lying and deceitful sale girl a minion because she took it as a rude word. So, being me, I get home and search the dictionary. Low and behold, the definition for minion is not rude nor is it in bad form but it can be, but wasn't meant that way. I guess I simply should have used employee rather than minion but the sales girl was completely incompetent. Also the Mgr never came out......was he even there......aren't customer service issue important as a Mgr, most especially when your employee is committing an act of fraud and deceit. So I call Verizon, spend over 4 hours on the phone. End result, we all have new phones and our bill will continue to stay the same. Now we were very close to going over to a competitor because they are offering to buy out your contract and ours would have been up in Jan. on our lines and wasn't in contract for the N-laws. At this point I loathe Verizon and that is being nice. However, they do have the best coverage for our area and where we travel, and I have to point out that the 4 individuals who dealt with me on the phone were spectacular. This is why we stayed with Verizon even though the competitor would have been about $45 bucks less and 2 additional Gb's of data. Also I wouldn't have even wasted the time in making this post. However, the n-law comes over today and informs me that the sales girl left him a msg yesterday advising him that he can return the phone with a full refund to include the $35 restocking fee. The msg was left shortly after we left the store and prior to me dealing with Verizon over the phone. Then the wife forwards and email to me of our new billing changes that were authorized yesterday....prior to me dealing with them over the phone. Document shows an increase of almost $70. Just stay clear of this store, deal online or over the phone. read more

I like some of the others, keep returning thinking that it will be different, mostly due to how long it takes, similar to driving to LA... sadly not the case. I hate this store, always have and will not return again. The returning has been my fault, due to close proximity, but I will in the future seek others out regardless of the price of gas. The LED screen broke on my phone and I was 10 months out from my renewal. I have been a customer for close to 20 years, never having moved once. I have 4 business lines and have never asked for favors, exceptions, NOTHING. I go today, after having driven 30 miles to Costco, my preferred vendor, but was informed that they are unable to just sell phones w/o plans and could not override the renewal terms. I drove back to AG to Verizon. Was checked in by the assistant manager B.J, Priscilla greeted me shortly thereafter and was friendly enough. She reiterated what I was told at Costco. I asked what they could do for me. She conferred with B.J. and they begrudgingly agreed to renew my 2 yr contract early at the rate of $199, $100 more than Costco, but i would pay tax on the retail of $600 plus tax, upgrade fee, etc. etc. etc. for a grand total of $350. They would not give me the option of payment override where i would pay monthly for a period of time at no interest. Their explanation, it wasn't showing available. B.J. was called over to confirm and then explained that they would do this for me and that we would need to talk about accessories... I straight out asked him if he was saying that the deal was contingent on my purchasing their expensive, unneeded accessories, (super size me), and he clarified that they were doing me a favor and that i should meet them 1/2 way to justify the means. I retorted with "I would think that close to 20 years of being a (valued) customer, and never having asked for anything as such, would be justification to the means. I replied with "I can see where you would think that". Being a former retailer and now in the hospitality business; Lesson # 1, if you're going to give a customer what they want, that you would not rather give, better to make them a happy customer then a dissatisfied customer. Lesson # 2, its cheaper to keep a customer than to make a new one. Perhaps the large trending tennis shoes, untied, with black dress pants should have been my first indicator of experience. I left with what I wanted but could only think about writing a bad review when I left. I had no intention of it being this long but I'm so disgruntled. To top it off, Priscilla, proceeded to remove my SD card from my phone, WHILE she explained that you shouldn't do this w/o telling the phone that you are as it can damage the card. Being that the screen was blank, she felt she had no choice but then suggested to hook it up to the laptop to check for photos and download them prior to removing the card. Needless to say, all photos are gone... luckily my 2 week European vacations were downloaded to the dropbox but my daughters 17th birthday weekend were gone. I thought I was upset...! I wanted to purchase an external battery pack for my HTC One and went into Verizon to find one. The sales associate gave me a detailed explanation about the charge my battery could hold and the charge the external pack I had picked out could give, and assured me that the external battery should be able to charge my phone at least 1.5 times. After a week of trying multiple ways to charge the phone using my new Mophie Mini, I never got more than a 60% charge. I took the battery pack back to the store, and was helped by two completely different associates (Kristina and Ray I believe?) Both told me that everyone who used the Mophie were very happy with it and they'd never had anyone who wasn't able to charge their phone to at least a full charge using it. Figuring it was a fluke, I exchanged for a new one. Twenty four hours later, same story....60% charge. These people are uneducated about simple aspects of the products they sell - do not expect them to know what they are talking about. read more

Zero is the real Verizon number. I have tried to work out my services and bills with this store for nine months now, yet they give out junk equipment, imaginary services, and screw up the bills (guess in whose favor?) every time. RUDE and NASTY do not begin to describe the female manager or whomever she is. Oh, exCUSE us customers for breathing--she is doing us a big favor by her hostile non-greeting and brusque manner. I had to ask her to LOOK at me three times, and at the third time, eyes GLUED to the screen in front of her, she had the temerity to retort, "I AM looking at you." Insolence perfected, eh? Okay, you five star people. I understand. You go in for the first time and get one of their nicer people--and they have them. But Nice dies not exempt employees from the Incompetent Clown Category. Yes, very nice while you are laying out the big bucks. Then problems arrive. WHAT???? They do not understand. Equipment not working? HUH???!!! Never happens. Oh, they said your bill would be lower? Maybe $125 (for male cow flop)? Oh, dang. They forgot to tell you that there would be a one time only this, that and the other costing you $500 plus on your new bill. You go on like this month after month. You know it is violent corporate assault. This store has it fine tuned. AVOID them! Switch to another company! I have had to! read more

Very rude people and was mislead when I had my phone broke they told me to come in t o get a new phone then when I did they refused also they would not honor my insurance that I was paying 10 dollArs a month for. Yesterday, I posted a review about this Verizon store, accusing the staff of making a case disappear from a phone that we had sold to the store. It turns out the case was misplaced and we eventually found it. I want to apologize for falsely blaming the Verizon staff for potentially misplacing or taking the case. this store is the pits. went in to get e newer basic phone because my old one was on its last legs. I missed my renewal date as usual and they wanted $199.00 for a basic phone. I have been with Verizon for many years but would not bend on the birthday discount and tried to give me a new plan that cost more. I would lose my $39.99 rate.the guy would not give me anymore help than that and got bored with me.always have issues whith this store in the last few years. they are really rude.i went to t mobile got a really good deal on a smart phone but had to retun it for bad signal at my house so went back to Verizon and my plkan is all messed up so going to slo and see if they can hep me. stay away from ag store. going to try tech support next. read more

I was super wary about the Verizon in SLO (because of it's reviews) so I chose this one, and I'm so happy I did! Krystina helped me out - just upgrading my phone - and I was so surprised by how simple she made everything. I came in at around 7 pm and left in half an hour with a brand new iPhone. I recommend this store for sure. read more
