Tom M Lucas Do not do business with T-Mobile Branch located…read moreon Metcalf Dr in Ashtabula! Stopped in store to setup auto pay. Employee set up my credit card to to billed. I asked her if this actually paid my current balance, and she said no, but would be glad to do it for me! Which she did. What she forgot to do is mention that she charged me $5 to make that payment! I was already out to my car when I noticed this. I went back inside and asked her abour it and she was sorry but forgot to tell me about a new store policy! I asked her to refund charge, but said she was not allowed to do that. Reason I asked her was because I could have done the payment when I got home myself and saved $5. There were not any signs posted in store for new customers to view! I asked about speaking to manager and was told to call back in morning to speak to him. Next morning I called and spoke with him about a refund! He was adamant and refused to refund money! He stated that all customers were notified 7 months ago via email and text about their new policy! I explained to that I was only with with T=Mobile for 4 months and therefor was not informed of the new policy! He did not care at all and said that he would not refund funds! I told him that I was going to tell people and future customers about him and his rudeness. He didn't seem to care about it at all, so that's why I'm telling everyone to beware of this particular store and it practices. I told him that I would file dispute with my credit card company which I did in full detail! I will let them dispute charge with manager at the Ashtabula T- Mobile store on Metcalf DR! My bank took down all information and then refunded me the funds that he would NOT! This is how to treat customers and listen to them responsibly, not turn a blind eye to them!

And after one of the employees spent 20 minutes talking to a guy about cars while the woman attempted to assist customers eventually having to explain that their systems were down and couldn't help them. Then the guy AFTER finally finishing up his car talk decided to reiterate the fact that their systems could be down all day for all they knew. I explained I had nothing going on and the guy walked back to the desk and laughed at the other employee making me feel as if i were back in highschool and being snickered at in class. You'd think the people they hire to work at these places would have to be a certain maturity level. So not actually being able to do anything at their job spending the whole day turning away customers. Why is this place still open? Then another woman comes in and the guy helps her pay her bill using the automated system but she's telling him the whole time she wants to setup automatic payments and he let's her know she has to call in and have them do it cause their systems down. She asks if he can call on her phone and have them setup automatic payments and he tells her to come in next month and they will do it instead of taking the time to help her do it on the phone. Then 2 more people one of them an employee of the store and another seems to either be an employee who's off or an employee of another store. This place just seems to be a hangout spot for at&t employees to hangout at I've been here an hour and actually yet to see anyone do any actual work. So after waiting that whole time one of them come over and let me know that their systems are back up and after giving them my ID I'm told that since I'm not the account holder I can't do anything and that the best bet is to have them call and add me as an authorized user but that since the phone lines were probably going to be full it might be awhile so after the whole time of them trying to talk me out of the store instead of waiting they finally get me to leave. When did customer service become this? From what I can tell customer service is now just a place for people to hangout and not do any work considering that's all I saw today.
