Scammers. I walked in for information on international travel. I was given an option that would raise my bill $10.00 a month. Set up fees alone for what they did was over $180.00. Bill went up almost 50%. I've spent hours on the phone e trying to get everything back to where it was. Wonder if my time and aggravation is worth the commission he got off of me. My family and I went to this Verizon location at approximately 6:15pm on Thursday January 13, 2022. When we walked in, there were two male associates helping two different families. I was the first through the door, and smiled and said "Hi", but the two workers just stared right at me without smiling or greeting me. I figured they were busy servicing the other clients, so we went to look at the accessories on the wall. After about 10 minutes, I told my husband I was going to sit down in the chair to wait for assistance. As we sat, no one acknowledged us and still no greeting. I turned to my husband and asked, "Is it because of me"? I am an African American woman, and my husband is White. He replied, "no, I think it is me because of my redneck jacket" (he was wearing a camouflage/hunter's jacket). We had a laugh, but it still was awkward because we had been there (at the Verizon Store) for at least 20 minutes without any of the employees acknowledging of our presence. Finally, one of the families finished up with one of the associates and left the store after about 30 minutes. The associate that had been helping them, went to the back "employee's only" room when he was done assisting the family. After about five minutes, the other associate that was helping the other family still there, called out to us, "I will be right with you in a moment". Now I was confused. I assumed the associate that had finished first would help us, but it now appeared the associate still with customers was going to be helping us. He then walked over to us after about two minutes and asked how he could help us. My husband told him, it was nice that someone had finally acknowledged us and proceeded to tell him what we needed. We were trying to purchase two new phones and port another phone to Verizon, as we had just relocated to the area. The associate said he would try to help us as he was finishing up with his other clients, and he apologized and assumed his manager Adam would help us. We assumed that as well. Because we were switching carriers and needing to download our data, he said it could take a while, possibly until 9pm which would have him working an hour late and we would have to wait there for a while. My husband told him, "I wouldn't want to inconvenience you by having you stay after the store closes (at this time it was 7:05pm and the store closed at 8pm). He asked the associate, "Why didn't someone greet us or ask what we needed an hour ago when we arrived"? Instead of us sitting there for an hour without acknowledging our presence, we ended up wasting an hour of our time and still did not get what we came for. We specifically chose this store because the store hours were listed as closing at 8pm (instead of 7pm like the other Verizon Stores). We arrived at this store at about 6:15pm thinking that 2 hours should be plenty of time to complete our activations and transactions. The associate recommended that we go to another store, try other locations, come back to his store on a different day, or even recommended we try to order online. We left empty handed. Adam who works in the Austin, MN Verizon VICTRA location, you do not deserve to be a manager. He looked both my husband and myself straight in our eyes and did not say a word when looked right at him, smiled and waved at him and he completely ignored us. Adam knew from the start, that he was not going to help my family out and made sure to go hide in his "employee only" secret bunker in the back, so he did not have to speak with us or assist us in any way. Adam of VICTRA in Austin, MN, If you go on to work at another place of business, I want to make sure that your next employer is aware of your lack of customer service skills, despicable attitude and sleazy demeanor. Adam, you really should not work with the public if you cannot treat people with respect. Walking out on a customer and ignoring them is extremely abhorrent and as such, it is one of the most disrespectful customer service experiences my family and I had the misfortune of experiencing. I am shocked that a fortune 100 company such as Verizon would employ someone, let alone as a manager with this type of character, demeanor, and work ethic. I understand that this location is a franchise which may explain why the company is unaware of the culture here and how Adam is treating customers. Much less the company and this particular location's ability to falsely advertise that they are open until 8pm when in fact, they really only stay open until 6:55pm. This is not the level of service I am accustomed to, and I know Verizon is more refined and not associated with the uncouth behavior of Adam of the VICTRA in Austin Minnesota Verizon affiliate location. I am also certain that Verizon and VICTRA in Austin Minnesota expects their affiliate store location to stay open and helping customers until 8pm if they're advertising their hours to be open until 8pm. read more

One of the worst experiences I've ever had ever with a service provider. First I refuse to ever visit this store unless it's completely necessary. Whenever me and my family needed to buy something they would try and sell us something we don't need, one of the first experiences was on the iPhone 7 launch day and I wanted a plastic screen protector. That's all I wanted and I was being pushed to buy a tempered glass protector. I understand they wanna make a sale but this was just pushing it to the limit, the guy wanted to order the glass one instead and say if I don't like it I could return it. Eventually I got my plastic screen protector but they had to order it. The second experience was when my brother came to town and his screen was cracked but he had an upgrade available and we thought well let's go pick up a new phone real quick and set it up at home no biggie. But they told us it had to be set up in store and we can't just take it home and set it up ourselves even though they transferred his phone number to the new SIM he had in the phone, we were there from 4:30 to around 7pm. But when we went to Colorado this summer he needed a new one again and we ordered one and it was available at his local Verizon store we went in and they handed us the phone, we asked if we had to set it up in store and the man responded nope your able to activate it yourself y'all have a nice day. The last event is helping my grandmother get a new phone, she just wanted something simple right? She had one of those slide phones it wasn't too fancy and the guy that tried to make me buy a glass protector was the one helping us get a new phone and I asked if we could get something simple similar to her phone she had and the guy walks out with a Samsung smartphone. Remotely nowhere near was it a simple phone for my grandma. Then he tried to sell me and my grandmother Samsung tablets we both have our own and that's not what we came in for but the guy persisted and finally gave up on the tablet. Me and my family now order online and if we have any small troubles we either call or go to Rochester. Please avoid this store if you can. read more
