I live 12 miles from this location but it was worth the inconvenience. This is the busiest Labcorp location in town so I went there hoping they would have more experienced phlebotomists than some of the other labs I have used. I have a standing order for a monthly blood draw so since I had used a different Labcorp location the previous month I assumed my lab order was in their system. Unfortunately they don't have a centralized computer system, but I'm still giving them a 5 because the receptionist was very pleasant and helpful and called the previous lab to have it faxed to her. Based on my experience with other Quest and Labcorp locations, I was amazed (and grateful) that she went out of her way to help me even though the office was busy. I was called back within 10 minutes even though I was a walk-in. My experience with the phlebotomist who drew me as well as the supervisor on duty that day was definitely 5 Star. LabCorp does a lot of the phlebotomy and diagnostic lab work for healthcare providers and businesses across Colorado, so there's a decent chance you'll have to deal with one if you ever need bloodwork, a screening drug test, etc. As a resullt, you can't do much comparison shopping, but this location's not too bad. I can't speak about billing, because I paid a background check company and LabCorps was just the contracting party, but that went smoothly, at least. Pros: --the lady who did my testing was really nice and friendly, even if the regulations regarding drug screening are fairly ridiculous. --they have reasonable hours, unlike the location at Hampden, which takes a one hour break midday for most services and a several hour break for drug screens. --Parking is easy, and you don't need an appointment. Cons: --they don't seem to answer their phone at this location. The lady at the desk said that it's just because they were busy, but this seems like a problem to me. --I had to wait 55 minutes for a test that took three minutes, and they couldn't give me an update on the wait time. --The waiting room is a pretty gloomy place. You don't realize how much of a difference background noise makes (a TV running CNN, a radio, anything) until you wait in silence for a while. So, if you need to vist a LabCorp location, Highlands Ranch makes it fairly easy-- but bring your own entertainment for waiting because it could be a while. read more

Awful!!!! Let's just find ways to rack up patients bills. I cannot believe the bill that I received. My health insurance was being switched at the time I went in for a few tests (i'm pregnant) and LabCorp slapped a HUGE frickin bill for "time" and "processing" as well as the blood test they did oh and Urine. The bill is over $1,000!!!!! I'm not kidding. So obnoxious, definitely wayyyy over priced. Frustrating. Irritating. Terrible. read more

This Lab is conveniently located!! My husband and I have been going here for years. Management is trying. I waited 30 minutes due to another problem on my end but while waiting the 30 minutes I noticed they were very much so in violation of HIPAA laws. That is where the management needs to come in. Most staff is friendly and they really do try and get you in and out ASAP. Being in the health care field, please make sure your employees are following HIPAA laws and regulations. Everyone that works at these labs is so BITTER so rude ! It literally hurts them to smile and be polite. They are not friendly you ask them for help with the self service and they just look at you. No one likes to come get blood drawn you would think they would be more personable and try to make you comfortable but no. read more

Came here to get blood work done and they were very rude for no reason. They couldn't answer my questions and made me feel uncomfortable to ask anything. I needed help with the check in process and they brushed it off. Very very unfirendly and bitter. I understand the days are likely busy and there's a lot of work to be done, but the employees are not friendly at all and it is off putting. read more

You've heard this before, but if I could give this company and location a zero or a negative number I would. My most recent experience was beyond unacceptable (I'll get to that in a second) but from the get go its a place to avoid...especially when there are others out there like Quest (or really anywhere). The waiting room is dismal (uncomfortable chairs, poor set up, no tv, the water supply has never worked (I have been to this location 5 times) and the color pallet is cold, sterile and inhospitable. The people behind the desk are curt and look unprofessional, but peering into the tiny gloomy place their given, I'd be unhappy coming to work too. Still... I have been here when the place is packed and when I was one of two. Regardless you will wait...and wait for a long time. Even if you come prepared with the required paperwork, ID cards, etc., you're going to wait. To my most recent experience: I go in to get a "regular" blood check up (cholesterol, etc.). There were 4 other customers upon my arrival. I didnt have anything missing when I checked in. I waited at least an hour. I finally get called back. I provided a urine sample and put it on the shelf...alongside several others. ?? Hopefully they dont tip over onto one another or get mixed up...!!! Never seen such "loose" handling of a bunch of urine samples. Then they take me back to the "lab rooms" where Im to be seated to provide blood samples. A lady comes in and tells me she is with an experienced student and wants to know if I will give my permission to let the experienced student take my blood (instead of her). I asked a couple of questions I thought pertinent/appropriate in order to protect myself and then agreed. I guess that was my mistake!!! However, I am retired military and have had my blood taken ALOT over the years and thought I had seen and experienced alot so how bad could it be? So...the student starts to take my blood and within a couple of seconds my left hand starts twitching involuntarily, my left hand starts feeling "odd" and I obviously dont feel great. I got the instructor's attention (shouldnt she be paying attention?!) and said "Should that be happening?" She said "Well, probably not." ?? I said "Are you going to do anything about that?" Instead of "doing something," she calming starting talking to the student, explaining what was happening. It was only after her explanation (around 2 min) that she said "So, you should move or adjust the needle because you might be hitting a nerve...like this." THEN she made corrections...after my hand had been twitching for around 2 min, after my arm was hurting and after had become light-headed. I told her to take the needle out and that I was done. I told her I hoped she had enough blood. She held up the tube and said "Well, almost. I think maybe if I could just get a little more." ?? I had a chat with them, as diplomatically as I could. I said instructing a student is fine but that if something goes wrong, it must be remedied immediately...not because the patient thinks something might be wrong...or requests a change. I talked to them a bit longer (kindly but they knew I was absolutely baffled by the truly absurd practice) and they said, "Well, you can leave now because our waiting room is full." ?? I was still light headed and quite frankly felt sick. I told them how I felt, didnt think I should drive yet, and they just said "Ok, you can stay for a while" and walked out. ?? Eventually I got up and left and filled out a customer comment card in excruciating detail. I took it home and made a copy. I sent one copy to their headquarters and took one copy back to the actual location on County Line. To date, no one has ever contacted me. No apologies, no refund, no explanation (although how could there be?), no promise to make things better for others in the future, no nothing. To date I have numbness and tingling in my left hand and forearm...such issues were not there before that day. I have contacted the location and the headquarters with that information...not to tell them I want them to pay for said damages or to try to fix them, but to let them know of the harm they caused...so they can end their unsafe practices. I realize blood draws can potentially go astray, but to deny that they went wrong, to be uncaring, unsympathetic/empathetic, to not be watching in the first place; perhaps this student wasnt quite ready, to not apologize, to not take action to fix their error...from either the entry level or the management... No matter how you look at this outfit, its just unpolished, unprofessional and, in this day and age when there are options, well, it just shouldnt be one of them. Stay away... read more

I went to my appointment today at LabCorp 206 W Countyline Road, Highlands Ranch CO, at 930am and it was one of the most awful experiences I have ever had. The woman, not sure what her name was, starting by taking my blood pressure. The cuff was so tight that I had tears coming out of my eyes and told her it was too tight - she shhh'd me and said my blood pressure was over 200 - didn't' tell me what the bottom was - I told her the cuff was way too tight and she tried another cuff on my other arm and again - I complained with tears in my eyes that it was tight (during the blood pressure reading) and again I was shhh'd and again it read over 200. I'm over weight and know that my blood pressure isn't perfect - 140/ 80 usually unless passing a kidney stone or something. NEVER EVER has my blood pressure been 200 and anything. Even when I went to the emergency room for a crazy panic attack my blood pressure was 161 in the midst of it. I told her this and she said it wasn't her fault and I said you cannot have a valid blood pressure reading when it is so freaking tight like that and taken over my sleeve of my shirt. She said they use this blood pressure cuff on everyone and it is correct. I have a bruise under both arms now from both readings. I was mad and told her to cancel this appointment and that I would get my blood pressure taken by someone else and walked out. I WILL NEVER EVER GO BACK TO LABCORP!!!! read more

I came mid-afternoon today to complete a drug screening for a new job. I brought my 5 year old and sleeping infant, thinking nothing of it. I was greeted by a sign that said that minors could not be left in the waiting room or be taken back to the screening room and that employees were not allowed to watch minors. Seeing as all I had to do was pee in a cup, I mentioned the sign to the lady, thinking we could work something out and kiddos could wait with me and then just outside the door for the 30 seconds I would be inside. She was so rude and basically told me I had no options and couldn't take the test. I asked whether it would be ok for someone else in the waiting room to watch them. She couldn't tell me no, but just said they may be called at the same time as me and there would be no one. Luckily a sweet girl offered to stay after her own test and watch the kids. Labcorp personnel called me back immediately to wait for 20 minutes in another back waiting room, ensuring I would be away as long as possible. Horrendous experience. I get it, you don't want a bunch of unsupervised brats running around the waiting room. But how about you just hurry it up and bring people back when you are actually ready for them. Or just let people know ahead of time? I would have gladly made other arrangements if their policies would have been communicated in the email I received informing me where to go for the test. It must be great to be in a business where your client doesn't have a choice but to use you. Customer service, empathy, and common sense apparently don't have a place here.
