I would definitely NOT recommend this store and in fact, would give a zero rating if it was an option. The sales person, who wouldn't even tell me his name, had an attitude from the moment I walked in the door despite the fact that I was the only customer. He was unable/unwilling to assist me and outright rude. I wanted to purchase a new phone and after 2 visits, left without one. There was an issue with the account which he only exacerbated and could offer no solution. After my second visit, he refused to even provide me with a customer service number so I could see if I could get the account 'unstuck.' The following day, I went to the Victra Verizon store in Toms River where the problem was resolved by a compassionate, knowledgeable sales person. Within 30 minutes, I had a new phone. If you need a new phone, I would highly recommend making the drive off the island! read more

The kids that helped me in the store were great! However I need to speak with the manager and it seems the guy never shows up. I guess he splits time between another location. I wanted to return a product and was told "don't worry if you can't get here in the 30 day return window, it's ok we will still take it back". I go after the 30 days and was told they can't take it back but they will talk to the manager. 2nd time I go back and I am told the manager will refund me and he will call me. No call. 3rd time I go back and they take my number again. No call. I reach out today and I'm told too much time has passed and they won't refund me. Maybe if the manager showed up I could've gotten this wrapped up sooner. Terrible customer experience. read more

The manager Jay is wonderful to deal with. Knowledgeable, friendly, patient, Not condescending like Verizon in Manahawkin. Rarely crowded. Good hours, even Sundays. You should definitely come here instead! read more

I am writing this review as a caution to other YELP users. I was encouraged by the addition of a Verizon store on the island, but have had a negative experience with the personnel in this store. The purpose of my visit was to upgrade three phones, as well as to upgrade our family plan. Without getting into all the details, I later learned that 2 of the 3 phones that we upgraded were in fact refurbished. This was not disclosed and the upgrades were passed off as new. (One of the refurbished phones broke a week later, and we learned that it was a used model.) Secondly, an additional wireless device was added to our plan (complete with a new 2 year contract, and a monthly billing charge) without our consent. The salesman's words were " we can throw this in for you". It was certainly my error to not ask more questions, but I feel that the sales team in this store was deceptive and dishonest. This is not a corporate Verizon store, rather an authorized retailer (although the outdoor signage seems to indicate otherwise). I have taken up these complaints (and the associated hundreds of dollars in charges) with the Better Business Bureau and Verizon customer service. Please use caution if you use this store. Sales team sold us refurbished phones while telling us they were brand new, 1 of which broke less than a week later. Will not be returning.

This place has the WORST customer service ever! The Manager Jorge and sales associate Patrick are the most unprofessional and immature people we have ever dealt with. My wife and I went to try and get her a new phone because she dropped hers in water. Patrick gave her a attitude and told her no they can't do anything "unless she has &600 for a new Iphone or wants a crappy flip phone," and then gave her a number to call. When she asked about a number because she couldn't read it he talked to her like she was stupid. We are out of town and had our two small dogs with us, when we asked if we could bring them in the Manager Jorge said "NO! You absolutely can't" with a terrible attitude as well. When my wife walked out I went in asked for both of their names and told them that's unacceptable to treat customers that way and that Ill be calling customer service. When I said that Patrick then came out from behind the counter and tried acting tough. The manager then had to push him into the back room and tell him to go away. I told the manager he needs to learn what customer service is. I hope hey both lose their jobs, verizon need to close this location (I believe it's a franchise). read more

BUYER BEWARE! While on vacation in late June of 2013, my phone broke. I was thrilled to learn about the new Verizon store in Ship Bottom, NJ. I dealt directly with the store manager, Z. My phone was irreparable and he stated that he could give me a new phone without any out of pocket costs. He told me that he could add a ghost line to my existing account. Little did I know that the 'ghost line' comes with a monthly charge and a 2 year contract! So, at the end of 2 years, I will essentially pay $1367.04 ($56.96) per month in addition to my exiting $46.96 per month phone line. Unfortunately, I did not learn this until I received my next bill in July. Additionally, after I arrived home with my replacement phone and ghost line, I learned the phone was locked. I immediately called Z, but he could not resolve the issue over the phone. I drove back up to the store (50 minutes round trip) and sat for another hour waiting for Z to unlock my phone. While I was patiently waiting, an older gentleman entered the store and he was incensed. He was so irate and started shouting, "This is a bait and switch operation and how he was going to file a complaint with the BBC!" Z and the 2 other worker's laughed it off. I told them to call the police! Little did I know, I too, feel like I was duped! It's been about 2 months, and I am still fighting with Verizon customer service to get this issued resolved! BUYER BEWARE! Stay away from this place! They are taking advantage of vacationers, summer residents, and islanders. I will be filing a formal complaint with the BBC and PUC! read more

Went there when my phone was having a technical issue, when I asked if they're was a way to fix it or do I need to go through my insurance the salesman told me the phone was beyond repair and to go through my insurance, that he knew of no other way to remedy the problem. A day later after already going through insurance I was able to locate a solution to the problem and fix my phone. The lack of knowledge by the staff was unacceptable and overall attitude while dealing with them will keep me from ever returning to this store. read more

BUYER BEWARE. Tom (former sales rep at WE'RE Wireless) sold / conned my 82 year old grandmother into upgrading 2 months early (before her free upgrade) and sold her on the Edge network and buying a phone at full retail price. She had the same flip phone for 10 years and clearly this was not the best plan for her. After several calls, emails to Verizon (Eric S) and We're Wireless manager (Jorge) and the sales rep - Ricky, nothing could be done to reverse these slimy sales tactics. WE'RE Wireless should be shut down and these sales reps should be behind bars. read more
