Now, it is the electronics convenience store for your community. It has all those small parts you need because you lost the original, or need a spare. Problem is that it tends to be expensive. Seems whenever I need a cable or jack it costs $20. Still, sometimes there is no alternative but to bite the bullet and buy what you need there. The staff is knowledgeable about most things. If you need the definition of a nerd, just visit your local shop and meet the guys behind the counter. These are the men who will save the Universe. I was here accompanying my father in law as he returned a radio that did not work properly. The manager gamely tried to offer him another, but the old man really didn't want to try it again after granny couldn't get it to work after unwrapping the gift paper. His lack of confidence was appropriate, and the manager gave him the credit with a smile. Imagine if Radio Shack and Shake Shack merged, and you could get a great burger and shake with your transistors and batteries...Now, that would be a marketing concept with legs.

After months of delays, repeated calls, and multiple visits (Dec 15, Jan 12, Feb 2, Feb 17), I was finally told on Feb 17 that the device was "unrepairable"--despite previously being told they were waiting on parts. I later had another technician evaluate the iPad, who found that the motherboard was cracked and additional internal damage had occurred while it was in their possession. When I returned on March 24 to request a refund, the owner refused, was unprofessional, and blamed the damage on the device being bent, which was not the case when I dropped it off.
