There were 2 other young men and while it seemed they didn't have as much experience as Brandon, they were very kind, patient and helpful. This store is an absolute customer service nightmare! I have been lied to. My phone bill is so screwed up by this store that I don't know if it will ever be right again. First it was double what it was supposed to be and after several calls to good ole "Brandon" at the store, now it's only a third more than it was supposed to be. I called Brandon, the salesman, 5 times. He will not return my calls. So I then called the store manager. After both of these people clearly acknowledging that there was a problem, now neither one of them will call me back or tell me what's going on. The Apple Watch I got doesn't even work. So, I completely give up on this absolute nightmare of a cellular store. I wouldn't send my worst enemy to these frustrating, ignorant, children. The manager, "Rufus", has the leadership and management skills of the Unibomber. Today, I'm going to call Verizon itself. I'm sure that they will tell me that the Boerne Texas store is an authorized dealer and not a corporate store so I must work it out with them. Which is a total joke. I had no idea whatsoever that wasn't a full blown Verizon store. The only signs on it say Verizon. They are all the same signage as the Verizon stores. Inside, it looks just like every other Verizon store as well. There is no way for customers to know they are not dealing with Verizon. And to think, I went in that store just to get a new battery in my iPhone and ended up being convinced with lies and deceit by our salesman to buy two new phones and a new watch that doesn't work. If he would have told us that my bill would be anything close to this high, I would have walked out. But I wasn't given a proper choice because I was lied to. read more

This location has 2 signs on their door about COVID-19 requirements for the inside of their store. I walked in to find customers without masks, an employee without a mask, and employees sitting less than an arms length away from customers. I had to get out of my chair, back up, and explain to the employee I was trying to create space when he got closer (without a mask on). The standard for the City of Boerne, Verizon, or the health and safety of their customers does not seem to matter at all to this location. read more

In the perhaps 15 years I've looked to Yelp for recommendations, I've only written a poor review a couple times ... well, here is #3. Unacceptable, terrible experience with this store. In late December, I took my iphone to this Verizon outpost in Boerne and traded it in for a new iphone model. I physically handed over my old device in exchange for the $800 Verizon trade-in offer (without that, I'd pay the entire $1100 new phone cost over 3 years). A few weeks later, I discovered by my Verizon bill that no trade-in was acknowledged, so I called Verizon corporate and they confirmed: no trade in had been submitted. I immediately contacted the Boerne store, which acknowledged they had put my device into a drawer and forgotten about it. No apology, nothing. I went back to the store to speak with the manager who didn't apologize (he seemed to think I should understand that the employee tasked with mailing the device to Verizon is also a 25 year old student and so it was just one of those things) and he refused to refund the $35 service charge his shop charged me for the service. Fast forward to 2 months later...I've spend a total of 16 hours on the phone with 6 different Verizon corporate support agents, none of which can solve for the problem. They acknowledge that the device was eventually shipped by the Boerne store to Verizon, but the trade-in cannot be acknowledged because the delay by the Boerne shop (coupled with Verizon's HORRIBLE systems/infrastructure that is either intentionally or negligence deficient for solving the simplest issues such as pairing up their own documentation of receipt of trade-in with getting that information into my account -- they blame the Boerne store for it's 2-3 week delay, which sent it all into the black hole...both Verizon corporate AND the Boerne store are equally to blame for sure). The Boerne shop was dismissive of my frustration, refused to credit me their fee despite causing me all this hassle and wasted time and energy. I'm still not sure whether the billing issue -- we're talking $800 is at stake here, as I continue to be billed monthly for the phone without that rebate kicking in -- has been resolved despite 2 hours today that I wasted with yet another Verizon agent on this matter. DO NOT USE THIS VERIZON STORE. Incompetent and unwilling to apologize for their failures, let alone try to assist in helping to resolve them or to offer a refund of their windfall of fees charged for their horrible service. read more

I have been to this Verizon location a few times now, and my experience has always been excellent. I wanted to leave a review for David Baumgart to thank him for the help the other day with my new iPhone. I ran into some issues activating my replacement phone and David did not hesitate to take time out of his work day to make sure I got everything sorted out. We were sold 2 phones through a buy one get one free promotion; however, we did end up having to purchase both phones. Corporate office said the mistake was the store's fault and should be taken up with the store since they are an authorized dealer and not corporate owned. The general manager of the store indicated the seller of the phones was actually out of an Austin store and was just "helping out" that day so the store is not at fault. Live and learn. Taking the time to drive to a corporate owned store may be your best bet for an honest dealer, especially if you are a senior citizen. read more

We had a somewhat complicated phone ordeal -switching my fiancé over to Verizon, getting him a new phone, getting me an upgraded phone and getting me off of my parent's family plan and starting a family plan with my fiancé. Jeff handled it with ease and listened to all of our requests & desires along the way & answered all questions we had! Visited store on Friday around 10am. Mark was very helpful. Store got really busy after we arrived. He was a great multi-tasker-answering phones, questions of other associates and training all at same time as trying to help people who came in. Amazing he even went outside to bring a client back in who left because of the line. It took a little longer for us but we weren't in a hurry and know we would have appreciated the same courtesy if we were in line. read more

I often wonder how these places stay in business. I have Verizon. It doesn't work at my house. I go here to get suggestions how I can get service at my house. They tell me I need a "booster." OK, how do I get that? They are quick to say they can fix me right up. My hopes are rising rapidly. I'm finally going to get phone service at my house. He comes out with a box and scans several barcodes all over the box. He then asks for my phone number to locate my account..."Oh, I'm sorry." He says to me. "You account isn't eligible for a booster." I'm thinking WTF but I calmly ask for an explanation. He then proceeds to tell me that I've been a customer of theirs for too long. I signed up before boosters were a thing so now I can't get one. He then proceeds to tell me that I have to sign up for a brand new plan and pay an increased monthly amount which would double my already insanely high cost of phone service. Which, I will add again, Doesn't work at my house. So, in review, my phone doesn't work, they can fix it with a booster, they choose not to provide me with either acceptable phone service or this booster until I double my payments to them. Went to the store on Bandera Road near Poss and had great service. The rep, Justin Flynn, overcame any obstacles I had and even got me a great monthly payment price. I even came away with a BOGO deal and a new tablet, for free! He's a young gentleman but that made it even better because these kids nowadays are so savvy with all these new devices and he proved to be very knowledgeable about all things Verizon! I needed an Otterbox for an iphone7. I shopped for one at HEB and then Walmart and they didn't have one. I went to this Verizon store and I went inside with my service dog. I went straight to the shelf where the otterbox cases were and selected the correct case. I got my credit card out and walked towards the cash register and a blonde haired male salesman. A female employeee said, "Your dog sure is pretty." I replied, "Thank you. He's real smart too." The male then began to rapid fire questions at me. "What kind of dog is that? A companion dog? What does he do?" I explained my service dog is a service dog. He said, "So he keeps you company?He's your companion?" I replied, "No. He's a Service dog." The employee pressed, "Ya. But what does he do? I explain that he is a PTSD service dog and helps me with a variety of things such as blocking. He then asked me what else he does. I explained he does a lot of things but that the expanded specifics of his service were none of his business. He continued to ask me questions that were none of his business and violations of federal law. I told him he could forget the sale and I would just buy what I needed from amazon. He didn't care. I was pissed and embarrassed in front of my son who was with me. Verizon, you need to educate your staff on ADA laws and Service Dogs. The rep at Verizon in Boerne is the WORSE CELL PHONE REP I have ever interacted in my life and the rep was not even helping me. Larry Lock showed his upmost character today of how to be a Unprofessional! I'm a former employee on the phone with verizon customer care and looking at a store iPad trying to figure out my acct. Larry Lock currently with 2 customers in front of him and also 3 customer waiting or being helped, yells across the store to me saying I can not be on the iPad and that it's properierty info. I was shocked cause I am a customer of Verizon and I have every right to look at my acct on the company iPad. I responded back to Larry saying I have every right to look at my acct. Larry Lock continues to talk dirty & down toward me in front of his customers as well as other customers in the store. Larry Lock continues to threaten me to leave the store or he will call the police for what reasons I said? I did not do anything wrong and that I definitely felt Larry Lock is Discriminating against me for I do not know why. I hope who ever reads this Yelp review Knows that Larry Lock is a terrible terrible rep and so unprofessional. Larry you had to customers in front of you. You had no business yelling at me & absolutely no right in threatening to call the police on a customer that has 10 lines and spends $550 a month to help support your job.
