I was helping my mother get a new phone. The Canon City Verizon helped us pick out a phone and they said it would arrive in 2 days. We returned after 4 days and the phone was not there, in fact when the clerk at Canon City looked up the status of the order, the phone had not even shipped, it has now been 11 days and no one has even contacted us. I called the Verizon help line and after being connected with someone overseas, I got bounced around for half an hour. read more

it would be less than a 1 if I could give it. Poor business practIces. We have been Verizon customers for 22 years and went in for phone upgrade. We were told that our phones on new plan would be $120 a month. she told us to choose from accessories that we thought were free but after she installed them on the phone found out they cost around $100 for each phone plus $40 per phone for service. then we got a bill for $245 that included $70 connection fee ( that is what we thought the service fee was). We asked about future bills and were told it would be over $150 a month. Really lousy service. Feel like we were lied to and taken advantage of. We are looking for another carrier. Loyalty only goes so far and we are done. read more

I'm really confused on how anyone can give this store more than 1 star. Service is ways horribly slow. If people can't work their phone, then they don't need one. People continually aren't sure how to work the phones. The only pro is the staff is friendly. The biggest con is the wait. Even on a weekday with two staff, your lucky to get in and out with 1.5 hours. What's sad is the local DMV takes a shorter time, and that's when they are busy and people standing around. This place seriously needs staff help. It doesn't seem that having extra people even on weekends is a good idea Recommended? Preferably not. I'd rather drive to another store where getting people in and out is a priority, not an option. read more

Terrible experience! Purchased a new iPhone 11 only a week ago from this store and it died (won't power up. Staff confirmed after testing it was defective). When I demanded an exchange staff couldn't locate the apple ID assigned to this phone? They made calls to Apple but it lead them nowhere (as it did me). Salesperson left it up to me to have to figure out! Three trips to this store in two days with no resolution and me stuck with a defective phone! Salesman told me he could not exchange and that I need to make an appointment with an Apple Store to get things straightened out!? So much for SERVICE! read more

Beware of deceptive business practices! We came to this store in February 2023 to switch carriers and establish new service as we have retired and recently moved to the area. When asked what we were looking for we indicated that we were interested in a senior plan. The salespeople indicated that any senior plan would need to be set up directly with Verizon but also indicated that it should be easy to switch plans with their app. We were asked if we needed new phones and were told we qualified for new phones if we traded in our existing phones. At no time were we informed that the new phones were conditional on being locked into a specific plan or that we would be locked into that plan for 3 years. Again, we originally requested a senior plan. It was our understanding that the new phone promotion was due to us switching carriers not because of signing up for a specific plan. There was a lot of confusion going on in the store as they appeared to be short staffed and were training a couple of new employees. We were passed back and forth from the trainer to the trainees. We were told that it can take a few billing cycles for everything to go through but credits would be made to the account for the trade ins. After receiving bills showing a payment for our supposed free phones we contacted Verizon and were told that on their end there was nothing they could do and said we needed to contact the store where we got the phones. We went to the store with our original paperwork and were greeted by the person who was training when we first stopped in. He apparently is the new store manager. He was confused with what we were asking and made copies of the paperwork so he could show it to his superior (trainer). He said he would follow up with a text. After not receiving a reply for 2 weeks we stopped back in to find out what was going on. At this time it was noted that the paperwork that needed to be filed for the trade ins was never entered. We were also informed that since we changed our plan, as we were told we could, we were no longer eligible for the free phones and would need to make the scheduled payments for the next 3 years unless we changed back to the original plan. We asked how this happened and were told that it was most likely a miscommunication from the salespeople. Asked why we were being punished when it was their miscommunication and not our misunderstanding we were told sorry but there is nothing we can do. This business appears to put commissions above customers. We are now stuck with a plan we didn't want and phones we didn't need. Think twice before doing business here. read more

No eye contact. She watched me input my cell password and took it upon herself to use it without asking. The pompous attitude was comical. I wouldn't allow her to fix it her way so she quit trying. I went home and fixed it myself. Security issues at Verizon have caused some email apps to stop working. At one point she laughed at me. I was going to put her name in here but I'm pretty sure most people know who I'm referring to. I don't know why she is so mad at herself but she's lucky to live in the country so that retail is an option for her. read more

I was excited to have Verizon at first and then I became extremely dissatisfied with the coverage and customer service. I only had Verizon as my carrier for 4 months until I switched back to my original carrier. During that time frame, I received a $150 promotional gift card. I was not told ahead of time and did not receive anything in writing that if I were to cancel my account within 6 months, I would need to pay back that amount. After I closed my account, weeks later I received a $150 bill. After calling customer service about the bill, they instructed me to go to the Verizon store here in Canon to figure it out. No help at all from the store. The reps at the store told me to call customer service back so I did. When I called back and finally got ahold of a representative, the representative argued with me saying the chargeback was in my purchase documentation. No where did it state in the documentation nor in the paperwork the card came in that it said to pay back the amount if the account was cancelled in less than 6 months. The store failed to give me the information prior. I would not recommend Verizon to anyone. I feel scammed. read more
