I wrote an extensive upset email to this company after receiving poor customer service. They responded to my email telling me to contact customer service if my issue wasn't resolved. I truly believe that you have the best signal in the chicagoland area, but I can't deal with a phone system (Droid) that constantly changes the phone sound settings, plays music at full volume while I'm away from my desk, puts my employment at risk (turning the alarms off), calls people randomly (increases my minute usage), sends text messages with numerous repetition of letters (lllllkkkmmmmm). I'm sorry that our customer relationship has come to this *I'm sorry Brian, but your response to my email was hope your issue is now resolved. Right. Did you even read my statements? Don't bother going with Verizon. They truly have lost sight of the big picture. Keep the clients happy or at least pacified. But no, they prefer to ignore & hope that the problems go away. I stopped using Verizon they are crooked, no matter what my plan they kept over charging, I kept upgrading and still I was charged more .I couldn't get reasonable answer so I switched to AT&T and now I have the best service. read more

Samsung Galaxy S 3 phone return to Verizon Wireless Letter to Better Business Beauru 1-3-13 On 10-16-12 I puchased a new Cell phone from Verizon Wireless. I paid for the phone in Full $178.68.Paid with my Visa Card ending in 4617.Got back Approval#366661 . After using the phone for 2 days there was a problem with the phone not working properly. Always seemed to echo, on my end and the party talking to. I reported it to verizon. They said try this and try that. And that still did not solve the phone issues of echoing.After phoning with them about 6 times and about 2 hours on the line with them,Verizon told me"The phone is defective.""They will have to mail me a new phone.""I would need to mail the defective phone back to them."They also said ,"They would need to charge my account for the phone they will mail to me." i switched over to another carrier back in September 2018, with apparently a leftover balance from my phone. So, i called the financial services department to arrange a payment plan to consolidate that debt. In retrospect, they said my card would be charged every two weeks and resolve in over a month. a few weeks went by and notice no charge to my account. i called again and they said they would fix the issue to start the arrangements up. NO CHANGE!!! Because of the departments inconsideration and now due to their misguided mistake, my bill that was supposed to be resolved has now been sent to a third party collections agency. i called today and spoke to a manager, stating "there is nothing we can do, but it you switched back to Verizon and pay the balance that is owed. it would be taken out of collections." are you kidding me! there is not even a damn number to file a complaint. only an address. never deal with Verizon again. read more

Horrible is the word that comes to mind when you say Verizon Wireless. The WORST customer service I have ever had the displeasure of having. Long story longer, Was a customer for 4 long years. Two years in, my wife and I entered the Volo il. store. We were swindled into a data plan and flat out lied to by the employees. After the customer service people fixed the problem, 2 more years go by, tired of dropped calls and the "can you hear me now"? NO! I was shopping around for a new carrier. Customer service called me to see why I hadn't renewed. They were nice, i decided once again to renew and entered the McHenry il. store. Big mistake. My family and I were ignored for 10-15 minutes, we left the store. I complained to customer service where I was assigned a customer service rep by the name of Robert. He was also nice. Over the course of almost a whole month, this man could not uphold his promises of helping me find the phones and accessories that I wanted. He never called, very few and far between. He couldn't find a color for my wife (purple) so we decided on 2 blue phones. He said he would ship them out. 5 days later, I asked where the phones were, he said he was holding out for the purple and would send them out overnight. When they finally came, there was 1 blue, 1 black? I messaged him mutliple times with questions about the phones and the accessories I didn't get yet. NEVER called me back. They tried to strongarm me into another 2 year contract for receiving the phones. Finally, I said up yours and went to US Cellular. I couldn't be happier.... read more

Well this is coming from a former Elgin employee. I know the frustration customers feel because I have been on the other end of many of those conversations. First of all many of the good employees have been terminated because like me they spoke up of the injustices. I was terminated because of a conversation I had with the disability medical provider they force us to have in which METLIFE provided them with a copy of the conversation. We are forced to sit in unbearable conditions, reach ridiculous service levels and then take the brunt of fixing up the messes left by other reps, especially 3rd party, stores and such. Every single customer service survey that I had received since November of 2012 stated that I resolved the issue. Many of the customers commented that they should have more employees like me, which I appreciate. Lately they do not allow employees to follow up with customers. I had not been a pushy sales person I let the customers digest all of the information and gave them my email address to follow up with when they wished to place the order. They took that away from me earlier this year...again no customer focused service. I was back from the disability about 3 weeks ago, passed all surveys and resolution to the customer issue. However they put my adjustable desk right in front of the quality desk so they can eavesdrop on my customer calls and pull the ones they did not like. I am looking to establish my own company shortly so keep up to date on my postings. read more

Worst experience I've had from any vendor billing me more than $1K per year for almost 10 years. Not the customer service agents' fault. You can't get the company to stop billing you even after month to month (contract is over) service is cancelled. I ported my number to another carrier, cancelling Verizon service on the 8th of the month. Verizon is billing until the end of the month. So they're not providing any service, I can't even use their self service portal, and they get paid anyway. Nice racket. What other businesses can get away with this kind of scam? read more

Verizon Wireless customer service does not care about their customers, we were changed 102 dollars for minutes over our plan, we agreed to increase our plan and they would reduce the 102 by 66, they never did and refuse now to do so. They also don't let you know if you have gone over your minutes so they can rip you off. They also don't call you back and they do not give you a change to talk to the person who could make a decision in your case. When my contract is up I am going back to ATT where at least they will work with you when something like this happens. read more
