Customer greeting and initial contact with CSR was counterproductive; he repeatedly interrupted me, quickly voiced a bunch of unrelated information and it was necessary to ask for a different CSR. This required me to wait...currently over 25 minutes, while watching the CSR stand around staring at his phone. If this person is the Manager, I suggest a review of Corporate and Customer expectations...............immediately. Update: when I asked for the Manager, guess who was identified? After asking for the District Manager, I was told that only the Manager could provide that information. Since I refused to interact with the Manager, we appear to be at an impasse. Visited this Covington store for help setting up new iphone16. We were told that you could not transfer your downloaded apps and personalized app groups to new phone. When we called tech support, we found out that you can mirror the old phone to new phone and support was able to walk us through it. We were also told that we could not move our comcast mail to the new phone as comcast was shutting down their email service. After speaking to comcast we found this is not true either and all mail was moved over to new phone. Comcast is not getting rid of all email; they are no longer creating new accounts. Unfortunately, you can't count on this store to provide you with the customer service needed to set up new phone, you have to call tech support in the Philippines. This was also evident by the previous customer reviews. Definitely need retraining at this store. read more

PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT GO TO THIS STORE. After me and my girlfriend's first bad experience trying to active her new phone they did it again but worse. The guy helping me was extremely rude, I had broken my current phone but was hoping to move my sim back to my older phone to receive calls and text but they had refused me service because a previous employee put the name on my account as "Allen" and not "Allen-Mike"' like on my id. The only fix was to bring the another account holder in or go to customer service and have them fix my name on the account. All being said and done I'll get it fixed but at other location. read more

Bottom line - poorly advised in a fashion that left me trapped. I spent 2 additional hours with Verizon reps who fixed this location's mishaps. They would not ship to the store. The Verizon rep said that they could have done that. I paid before they told me that I needed someone available to sign for the phone shipped to my home. Also, the first appointment they agreed to give me at opening was an hour after they opened. Why not a weeknight? They don't do certain services within an hour of closing when I could have been there after work. All the necessary details were left out, which make it difficult for me to do anything and I couldn't change it at that point. They just wanted the sale. Cancel the purchase you say? Sure it would take 2 weeks to get your money back. Go anywhere else than the Covington store. You will be better off being less frustrated. read more

In the last year, I have visited this store no less than four times. In the past three days, we have had contact with this store and the manager three times. Each time, our experience was worse. Our issue was eventually resolved by a corporate customer service rep who also took down my complaint about the Covington employees and manager. I would never recommend this location to anyone. Went in expecting to stand around for a long time, but Colin made sure we were greeted and let us know we would be helped shortly. He was great assisting with some issues a salesman we talked to on the phone previously had failed to take care of. Colin also noticed the VA i.d. card in my husband's wallet and immediately offered him the Veteran's discount. My husband has a "stupid" phone, but the previous salesman signed him up for unlimited data, which was ridiculous. The worst experience I've ever had in a phone store. Employee copped a fit because I wanted to return stuff within policy. Attempted to charge me an extra $350 dollars and then when I pointed out that the math says I should owe under 50 bucks, he said and I quote, "Ah. Sorry the order wasn't cancelled yet." Like, what? You were just going to charge me 350 out of pocket if I didn't double check your work for you?! Avoid like the plague. This store is worse than a 3rd party retailer. I had Verizon as a carrier. The coverage was absolutely HORRIBLE. There was literally a 6 inch square area in ONE window of an upstairs bedroom where I could get one bar, two bars if I was lucky. Everywhere else on my property was ZERO BARS. Friends who come over and have Verizon as a carrier find the same thing. Needless to say, I cancelled by moving my phone number to a different carrier and have no problems whatsoever with the new carrier. (4 bars everywhere on my property, I'm using their service at home right now to vent about Verizon.) Now Verizon has taken to sending me junk mail every week or two to try to convince me to "reconnect"!!!! And they WON'T STOP!!! Do yourself a favor and do not walk, but RUN away from Verizon. Verizon as a whole company need to step up their customer service as well as the Covington Verizon Store to help customers resolve issues instead of pointing blame on customers for the employees mis-direction. Be solution based, follow up, and kind without the horrible attitudes to customers. Without customers you do not have a store/job! The issue was for upgrades on phones that were ordered online to us and not being able to get everything handled-when people spend so much money (3 new iPhone 8's & high paying monthly bills let alone no matter the prices treat people kindly) The reason I'm writing a poor review as this was not the first bad experience but 2 years ago when we switched to Verizon from Sprint and to battle for rebates and still not get one of them is an issue. We have had several bad experiences with this store. We had the same re-stocking fee issue. We hated the phone and they would not stand behind it and exchange it without charging us a fee. The customer service at this verizon store is awful. The 5 or 6 times that we've been in there, we have had to wait 30+ minutes to get help, even when there were only 1 or 2 people waiting. Also, once we signed a new 2-year contract, the customer service got worse and our free phone upgrade options disappeared. After giving the store a bad review on the survey, someone from Verizon called to argue with us about the review, tried to tell us how they have the greatest customer serivce and that we didn't know what we were talking about. Will not go here again... First walking up, there is a Verizon employee yelling at someone while on the phone, standing directly next to the main entrance. He is screaming and dropping the "F" bomb very frequently and all sorts of other curse words. If you are working, you control your temper. Horrible first impression. (strike 1). When I walked into the front door, I was not greeted. No "hello." No "how can I help you?" No "we will be with you shortly." Nothing (strike 2). A couple who walked in, maybe 10 minutes after me, was greeted right away and offered help. I am still walking around, making eye contact with Verizon employees, and yet, nothing. Went in today and worked with Mike Rentas. He was great. Nice, friendly and knowledgeable, he did a good job. I've been there many times and worked with many people and I'll make sure I look him up anytime I need something from here on out. His manager, however, was a different story, but it would be unfair to affect Mike's review because of him. Go see Mike. He's great. Just hope and pray that you don't have any manager interactions with Chris Garcia. ZERO stars for Chris Garcia. Chris Garcia was curt, rude, unhelpful and incompetent. I had just puchased the iPhone glass protection, and when Mike put it on for me, there was a small blemish that I did not notice when I left I turned around and went back in the store, where I ran in to Chris. When I showed him the blemish, he said sorry, there is nothing they can do. It's as is, we put them on as a courtesy, but can't be responsible for how they are put on. I showed him how small it was, and asked him what could be done. He said sorry, nothing. So I asked to talk to Mike, the Super nice salesman who helped me originally. That's when he got mad. Chris said sure, no problem, but he's going to tell you the same thing because I'm the manager. He stomps off to the back and Mike comes out. I explain to him what happened, showed him the glass and guess what? He fixed it. He gently lifted the glass, ran some tape under it and removed the blemish. Too bad Chris, the MANAGER, did not have the intelligence, presence of mind or customer service skills to problem solve that on his own. Good thing you have employees that are smarter and more capable than you. And, when I told him he was a power tripping manager, he told he to have fun driving around on the ice. read more

I went into this store today at 11am to return a phone case and purchase a new one - should only take 10 minutes tops! I was told by the gentleman who greets customers and enters their information into his ipad he carries around that there was going to be a very long wait up to 45 minutes! I told him I only needed to return a case and purchase a new one and I already knew what I wanted, etc. and he said there were other people in front of me. I get 1st come 1st serve, however they were buying new phones, needing phones programmed, etc. Why the hell do retail sales customers have to wait in the same line as customers making new product purchases? They spent time going over the plans and options, and helped me figure out how to consolidate my phone plan to bring down the price. Friendly, no pressure sales, and generally a pleasant experience. I went in the store to upgrade my iPhone 5. One would hope this would be an easy process just like all my upgrades from as far back as 2001 would be. The sales guy walked around the store showing me accessories that I did not need or want. I politely asked can I just upgrade my phone please. Fast service when you are shopping. Horrible service when you actually need customer service. Beware of the insurence as well. It became a finger pointing contest where neither Verizon or Asurion the highly, recommend 3rd party insurence company to accept reaponsibilty for fraudulently processing an insurence claims. I went in for a cracked screen which should of been processed for a 29$ cracked screen repair. Instead I was put in the fast lane and wasn't asked any further questions about my phone and the insurence claim was processed for 200$ replacement fee at this very store. I have spent a ridiculous amount of time on hold, on line, in traffic, at the geek squad, and at UbreakIfix to get my phone back to where it needed to be so I can function in my high demand life. Zero help from Verizon and Asurion. I am very dissatisfied and feel taken advantage of and conned and lied too. I went into the Verizon store extremely frustrated, due to the lengthy runaround I had received from people at the telephone contact centers of both Verizon and Samsung. I was led to believe that I would have to be without my cell phone for approximately 11 days, only to have it sent back to me with everything erased from it (What?!). Fortunately, the in-store experience at Verizon's Covington, WA location was wonderful! Colin greeted me with a warm and welcoming smile as soon as I entered. After listening to my story about what happened to my phone, Colin very calmly and patiently fixed it! This is THE WORST store I've ever been too. It is full of young guys who are so full of themselves, rude and awful with customers. I went to cancel my service because I wasn't getting good service at my house. I was very polite and understanding. One of the workers walked over their manager and loudly told them I was canceling and switching over to AT&T, the manager replied loudly "HAHA that's fine she'll be paying more there so whatever" then all these rude guys stand around a computer laughing and looking at me and talking quietly. I'm not sure if this is Verizon's problem or Hum's problem - I'm going with Verizon because we purchased the service through them. We have two cars, both Kias. One 2008 Sportage, one 2010 Soul. We bought 2 Hum services, one for each car. First they couldn't get the Soul to show up on mine and my wife's account, then when my Hum was stolen, they added my new Hum system but erased my wife's Hum. Then for the last 6 or more months, my wife's Hum stopped working at all. They sent a refurbished system that we installed over the weekend. I just got an email telling me that they replaced my Sportage system with the new system for the Soul. How hard is this? All you have to do is add one to the other! No one ever said that one needed to replace the other! And then we get to deal with Hum blaming Verizon, and Verizon blaming Hum! Who cares? You are working together on this and neither of you know how to take care of your customers! T-Mobile and Sprint are looking pretty good from where I'm sitting right now! Bottom line.....DO NOT PURCHASE HUM FROM VERIZON UNLESS YOU WANT TO DEAL WITH HUGE HEADACHES! read more
