Definitely a frustrating experience. I scheduled an appointment to get the screen on my iPhone 6 repaired. I came in at the time of the appointment and they started to get my information. They told me there were several people in front of me and that my repair wouldn't start until after those were done which could take 1 or 2 hours later. Not really sure what the point of the scheduling was but whatever, fine. I left my phone and came back 30 minutes later than when they told me it would be ready. But not only was it not ready they said the screen they replaced didn't work. Okay fine, I asked to get my phone back, which they replied that it wasn't ready. Really?? Crazy. On a side note, someone came in to recycle a bunch of batteries. They told him they charge by weight to recycle batteries?!? What? Almost every other place will recycle batteries for free. Crazy. Now I'm waiting until the end of the day to retrieve my iPhone and I'm praying to get my phone back working condition I brought it in. Absolutely the worst experience I've had with a "technology" store. If I could give them NO STARS, I would. Went in to get my Samsung Galaxy s7 edge LCD screen fixed because it fell and cracked but the phone could still make calls, play music, take pics, etc. Overall can turn on and function normally. BUT came in here, got the screen replaced only to find out the phone doesn't turn on anymore and they can't fix it either. Still wanted to charge me for the LCD screen but my phone was no longer working so you could imagine what was going through my head. Not having it. (my wifes login) In September I dropped my Galaxy S5 on a large rock and broke the screen - I had the phone for 2.5 years with no issues. I went to the Southcenter store to have the screen replaced. When they were finished I picked it up and at THAT time (not before) they told me that my phone was no longer water resistant. I also noted that the white backlit window button in the bottom left had a black smudge through it - which didnt bother me much, but seemed pretty lame on a new screen. After six weeks I leaned forward off the couch and put the phone on a wood coffee table - a drop/slide, but not much of one. I had ballistic glass screen protector and a bodyglove bumper case, but tthe screen cracked out on the corner over the front facing camera. When I took the screen protector off the screen pulled away from phone housing and a small chunk of glass came out. Week and a half later (yesterday) I put the phone in the front pocket of my puffer vest along with a bic lighter and a Galaxy S7 (company phone) while I was walking around and when I pulled it out again the screen had cracked in the middle. There was no impact involved beyond my hands being in my pockets while I walked. So I called the store today. After 25 minutes of hold I was transferred to a branch manager (Guy) who told me that my six month warranty wouldnt cover anything at all and the only thing he could do was give me a good deal on getting a new one again. I told him that I wasnt about to pay him a second time to do do another shitty repair job and that my if he wouldnt do anything for me I would go online and write a negative review (as I am doing now) and would no longer shop batteries and lamps from this retail chain (I am an electrician and have shopped Bellevue, Federal Way, Olympia and Northgate stores in the past) Guy didnt seem bothered in the least. I got more of an apology/sense of compassion from the cashier who put me on hold for so long. I encourage any on else looking to replace a phone screen to use another vendor - perhaps those kids at Jiffy Lube are adding such services now too, they would likely do as good a job. read more

I am pretty upset. I was so impressed with the service and so happy yesterday on 12/17/2016 to get my I phone Screen fixed. It took longer than I expected, but I was VERY HAPPY with the service. Then, the screen starts flashing to black. I am upset that after an hour and a half, I have to go back in b/c I need my phone to work. I had to ruin my plans for the day to go in and get it fixed. Today I had probably the worst customer service experience ever. I walked into the store and Tony was helping another customer. I was going to get a cell phone charger cord. As I walked toward the back of the store there was a mop bucket in the middle of the floor. I honestly didn't think anything of it and walked around the bucket. Tony basically spoke to me extremely condescendingly: I just waxed the floor over there! Me thinking that he is just warning me to be careful on the floor continues walking to mobile charging wall. He speaks louder, "I JUST mopped the floor over there". He then says "over here! over here!" as if talking to a child. He then says "didn't you see the mop bucket blocking that section?" I replied saying "I don't appreciate the way you are talking me as a customer." He then told me "well you're welcome to leave." It was quite unbelievable but I continued looking at the cords. When he finished with customer, he then asked if he could help me with something...I replied in the rudest tone possible, no but you can ring me up for this. He then says actually I'm not going to sell you anything because you are being disrespectful to me. I thought seriously and asked if there was a manager. I also explained that he was extremely rude in the way he spoke to me when I arrived and that it was not clear that the bucket was blocking the section. By the way, there was another section that was actually roped off. We went back and forth and he eventually apologized. When he checked me out he apologized again and said that with SeaTac being right up the hill a lot of people come in and don't understand his English so he exaggerates his words. Huh? I normally would've just left and purchased the cord elsewhere but I really needed it at that moment because my cell phone was dead and I was meeting friend for dinner. Definitely my worst experience with this place. There's no customer service at all with their employees. I came in November 23 to get a key fob for a Christmas present. I got the key fob order and everything was paid the same day. They said it will take up to 10 days for the key to come in and they will give me a call. I received a call on December 6 that the key has arrived and I can bring in my original key in so they can program it but didn't make it out the location til the 7th of December. When I walked in they inform me that they only have one technician on duty and that he's working on three phones and that I have to come back another day. I made another trip on December 22nd to check if they are available to program my key because I haven't received any phone call but they told me that the machine is down. I kept calling them before Christmas but no one pick up my calls. So I stop by today December 31st and the two guys told me that their machine is down. All they can tell me is they are sorry and there's nothing they can do for me and that their system is updating . I ask them is there anything that they can do to compensate my time and the inconvenience that they given me but all they say is refund my money back like wth. Is that the kind of customer service that you would give to a customer that's been very patience all this time for a key fob? Paying $180 upfront for a key fob that is promise to be ready before Christmas for a present should be something that the employees at this store should be taking into consideration especially the customer time . I set up an online appointment to replace my iPhone 6 battery and was promptly received by Ms. Rodriguez when I arrived. I currently have an ear infection and asked her to speak up and let me read lips which she happily accommodated without blinking an eye. She took down all of my data and gave me a conservative time estimate for completion. I returned 30 minutes later and she was already done with the work, and had taken care of several other customer purchases in the interim. The online appt gained me a coupon so the work was done in a fast, convenient time and was a big bargain to boot! The Apple Store wants me to send it away for a few days and charge MUCH more for the inconvenience of doing without my phone. No thanks. I had my iphone 5 battery replaced yesterday evening and the experience was good. In recent months my battery had been dying quickly and sometimes erratically without warning even though it still read 20, 30, even 40% remaining. The manager explained to me the process of going through a checklist to make sure the phone is good, working condition before the repair process begins. This is to avoid liability claims, which seems redundant as I was required to sign a waiver for the repair that stipulates they won't be held responsible for any damages or losses to the phone or phone's data. He explained to me that it would be approximately 45 minutes for the whole process. The cost ($59.99 + tax) was as promised from their website, where I booked the appointment. He was friendly, talkative, and educated me on batteries and cell phone designs. The technician gal who actually did the work was very quick and efficient. I knew she took care of the phone as I heard her spray the phone with some compressed air to get any dust out. The rest of the time was spent on monitoring the phone to make sure it is charging and holding that charge. The whole process was actually only about 30 minutes total rather than the 45 minute quote which was nice. She was friendly and gave me her honest opinions on cell phones, batteries, how to take care of them, which I appreciated. Overall, I am pleased and would come back to purchase batteries, bulbs, and have my cell phone repaired by them. They even have automotive batteries and bulbs. I stopped by this location early this morning and was blown away by the wonderful service I received from the African American gentleman who was holding down the fort. I brought the alarm remote from my keychain in to have its battery replaced and I also brought my IPAD W/Retina display in to have the charging port tested. I had expected to pay all this money, but only ended up paying 1/4 of what I had expected which was icing on the cake when combined with the amazing service I received. It is one thing when a retail employee recites lines from the company procedure manual when a customer walks in, but it is another thing all together when an employee can gauge the customers mood, assess his needs and adapt his service to meet those needs. The African American gentleman who helped me out today had my alarm battery replaced, IPAD charging port tested and was ringing me up before I even knew what was happening and as a busy adult, I really do appreciate him for his speed and efficiency. In addition, he did all this without making me feel rushed as we still had time for a short personal conversation about my major at college and some similarities in our career backgrounds. I was so impressed and happy with my experience that I called my mom after I left and told her about it. My mom told me she knew the guy I was talking about and had also had a great experience with him as well, so I told her I was going to write a stellar review on Yelp.
