I hate that the only way I can leave a review is if I mention the Comington location. Actually, this location is phenomenal and all of their representatives are extraordinary. This is about AT&T in general. This company needs to be canceled, struck down, go with any provider but them. I want them to become bankrupt! I have their ridiculous Internet cloud and of course they sent all of their customer service to India. The Indian sales representative screwed me royally! He stopped my service and you cannot have it reconnected. Instead, you have to order a totally new Internet cloud, and that can take almost a week to get to you. Even though it was a fault of their own, they refuse and say they cannot do anything for you. They offered to give me a $20 compensation?! Are you freaking kidding me!!! Horrible. We signed up with att and had great help. We are first responders me and my wife so we got firstnet.. the women helping us (salesman) signed us up. Said there is a promotion of a free Apple Watch for first responders. Our bill was supposed to be 130$ a month. Salesperson assured us 500times it will be. 2 months down the road our bill is 300$ a month. Called first net and att many times and they told us they will get back to us, open up a claim and that never happened. So we have talked to a supervisor at firstnet. She said we would have to return the watch. Firstnet is blaming att cause all they want is commission and sales. So they basically lie and rip the customer off. If I was you before singing up with them I'd make sure to get everything in writing and signed. Otherwise you'll just be scammed by these salespeople. read more

I apologize in advance this could become emotional. I am a member of a dedicated Apple product family and as such I've only ever had iPhones. With two payments left to go on my iPhone 6 after a forced update my phone went NUTS. I was out of town visiting in laws which is a worst case scenario in my world. Fast forward a week with phone still broken as well as my spirit. COUNTLESS HOURS both in chat and email with tech support since I couldn't phone them. My phone is broken, remember? I had finally contacted the cell phone insurance company and had agreed to a $129 charge to replace my broken phone. 2-3 more biz days brought with it another phone that didn't work. Now I'm seriously angry. COUNTLESS hours spent transferring and backing up and restoring data to another broken phone. I went to an AT&T store (separate yelp review) which resulted in my sitting in my car in their parking lot in the rain on hold with the insurance company again. Fast forward 2-3 biz days later as my second defective phone arrives. At my wits end going on three weeks without a phone I throw everything into a bag and draw a diagram following all of the efforts so far invested and head over to another AT&T store. This one. WITHOUT SO MUCH AS A SIDEWAYS GLANCE AMANDA BEGAN WHAT AT LEAST 15 PEOPLE PRIOR TO HER IGNORED - THINKING. With all of my devices and notes and shipping boxes piled around us we talked about glitter as the process dragged on literally into a second hour. The store was about to close and we both talked about missing dinner but continued with the process. (I say process because there were SO MANY STEPS It's painful to remember let alone list). I have a third replacement phone expected any day now. I will have had a working phone three days when the replacement arrives. I have no idea if this phone will be the one that breaks the streak but MY OVERALL EXPERIENCE HAS BEEN NOTHING SHORT OF HELL BUT AMANDA HAS PROVEN TO BE A STELLA HUMAN BEING AND THE ONE BRIGHT SPARK IN THE JOURNEY AND FOR THAT SHE DESERVES THIS PRAISE AND MUCH MORE. Jessica Corington at the Covington store was an absolute please to work with! Her level of customer service exceeded every expectation we had. Jessica helped my wife activate a new iphone 11 she got for Christmas. The iphone was purchased at the AT&T store at Southcenter, but the Covington store is closer to our home. The plan was that I would then start using the iphone 8 that my wife had. I was frankly dreading the process of transferring data from my current iphone to my wife's 8. We went back to the store a few days later. Jessica helped us again. She not only remembered my wife's name, but she remembered my name from my wife mentioning it before. Jessica made the entire process not only painless, but actually enjoyable. At one point, I asked Jessica how long it would take to transfer the data and she said "I already did it." Jessica blew us away with the customer service she provided and I hope AT&T realizes what an incredible asset she is. She deserves any internal recognition that AT&T does. Thank you again Jessica! I have patronized the Covington AT&T store for a number of years and have always gotten great service. Yesterday, however, I went into the AT&T store as I had just a super quick question. There are 4 reps there who had customers. I was in there for 10-15 minutes and not one person even acknowledged that I was there. I wasn't expecting anything more than a "Hello there, we'll be with you as soon as we can." Then one customer service rep finished up with some customers and still didn't even acknowledge my presence ... he walked right by me, looking straight ahead and just went into the back room and shut the door. This is horrible customer service! I felt invisible. I felt unimportant. I felt like my business means nothing to them. To the manager of this store .... I have read a lot of reviews and it seems like you might want to take a good hard look at the reviews and then train your staff. I am a customer service representative and I know that there are times when it's very busy. I get it. It doesn't take more than a few seconds to say, "We'll be with you as soon as possible." It will take me a LONG LONG time before I am motivated to go into the Covington AT&T store. I have a choice ... there are several around and believe me, even though I live here in Covington and would love to give my business to Covington businesses, I will go somewhere that my business is wanted. read more

I had a fantastic experience here! Went to switch my husbands old phone to my old phone because I got a brand new phone. Service was fast and polite. The right amount of sales and service. They were pretty dead in the mid afternoon of a weekday, usually the best time to go anywhere. When did cell phones get so expensive, probably when we started doing more than calling people... The complexity of cell phones and service is likely a driving factor of poor service. read more

Where do I start... big tip, bring a lunch or dinner and make sure you have a babysitter for your kids because you going be here for a long time. I am unfortunate to be living nesr this only AT&T and have to deal with the extremely terrible service. They have a hidden queue that they will not tell you until the 1 or 2 sales associates working start to feel the pressure of 10 + customers which they of course can't service in time. I had added my name to the queue after learning about this, placing me second in line. After about 25 mins a random customer came in and jumped in front of me keeping me 2nd for another 20 mins. At this point I just left. If you are looking to buy a phone, learn their service and be ready to have a bunch of people who don't know how to close a deal and move on to the next customer. It is not often I write a one star review, but this place was exceptionally bad. I don't even think it deserves the one star. I went a couple of times, and I was only in to learn more about their pay as you go plans, and sign up. First of all, the store is huge, it is much larger than any other cellular company store I have been in. Thus, it is a very spacious and open atmosphere. Everything started out OK, we were greeted and they took our name and request. However, our name never made it up onto their screen. You can see your name on the screen, and how many people are waiting in front of you. Our first visit was later in the evening about 1 hr before they closed at 8:00pm. There were only a couple of other people in the store, and over 5 people working. When I noticed our name wasn't on the screen, I went back to the welcome lady, and she quickly fixed the issue. We still ended up waiting over 30 minutes before someone came to help us. They took my old phone, and put in a SIM card for the pay as you go plan, and you would think I would be done. But, it was about 10 minutes prior to closing, and the manager had instructed one of the workers to shut down their kiosk, which I needed to activate my plan. Thus, I ended up having to pay tax to activate the plan, since I had to utilise a different option via their cash register, vs the kiosk. To top it off, the workers were complaining openly about how awful their jobs are, and how much they hated the manager, and how stupid it was for them to close the kiosk early. The AT&T service in the Seattle area was shotty, it kept dropping my calls, and I was consistently finding myself in areas without coverage. I had to unfortunately go back to the store to add an international dialling feature to the phone. Once again the service was absolutely horrid, and took way too long. Its interesting that each time we went, even though the day was perfectly sunny, after entering the store and leaving, there was a dark ominous cloud above the store, and it would briefly start raining. That was a bit odd. I am a huge Joss Whedon fan, and for some reason this store reminded me of something that could definitely be sitting on top of a hellmouth. Lets say, I never want to work with AT&T again, after moving to Texas, everyone had previously mentioned AT&T is the best, but thankfully I found others who mentioned Verizon is just as good. I am happy to have just switched to Verizon. No more hellmouth visits for me. read more

This place is a nightmare. One employee Micheal acted as if he knew everything, which while I was telling him how things work, he still stuck to his guns. At the end of the long day of going through his instructions, he was as I already knew incorrect. So this brought me back to this store for the third time today, its now 5pm, this time I walked in to the store and saw 5 employees, helping two customers. Two managers were apparently on duty(one happened to inform me). The managers wont help you, all they are there for is to put you on the queue. The store was pathetic. I stood by the manager Char(who told me I had to wait for 30 minutes). She kept telling me I could go get a coffee or something. I chose to stand by her, just watching her do absolutely nothing for 20 minutes(literally just changing the screens on her tablet in front of me to look like she was busy) until one of the sales people came over to help me. If there are only 2 people on the floor both should not be tied up with very involved customers/transactions for the amount of time I was there. The crap rolls down from the top. Front line folks are just that, front line folks in thankless duties. How they provide any form of acceptable service is training. Lazy or unqualified management. Furthermore the 3 morons on the AT&T Premier help line were also useless and unable to deviate from the "script" and actually help the customer (while I was waiting over an hour in the store to even get checked in.) Beware of fraudulent credit/debit card activity! More than $2,000 was drained from our bank account when thieves stole our debit card number and used it at this store. Apparently, making a fat sales commission takes priority over checking photo ID, knowing the customer, and doing business honestly. We have never been AT&T customers, and we never will be. read more

I decided to make a foray into the Windows Phone world recently, and I found out that AT&T had the phone I wanted; the 1520. This green rectangle is awesome, but not as good as AT&T's service. That is to say, AT&T runs a very nice retail operation at this Covington location. I walked into the store, and the temperature was right where I like it. I wanted to switch from Sprint to AT&T, and I tell the person that says hello to me as I walk in. She adds me to the queue, and I am already excited. You see, my father has AT&T for work, and he has service EVERYWHERE. It is absolutely fantastic, from the outside looking in. When I had Sprint, you would think that it was pretending to be dubstep, with how often it dropped calls. Whenever I walked into the kitchen, DROP. With AT&T, the service is clear, and is really, almost not fair to compare. All in all, the service inside the store was fantastic, the service outside of the store is unrivaled, and I really appreciate how kind the people were inside. read more

Upon arrival we got checked in and proceeded to not get help for 55 minutes. The manager walked in & out multiple times without offering to help us. I was beyond irritated with the service. Went in a couple weeks ago to change to at & t from cricket. Guy that helped us had us wait for first 20 min then 30, coming out periodically to say he was still working with cricket to cancel and transfer our numbers. After 1 hour and 15 minutes, he finally came out saying we'd have to get new numbers to be able to transfer to them. WHAT!! We left. I don't know how we waited that long... well, the game was on and made the time go by lol but anyways when I got home I called at and t myself instead of cricket and had the gal do this all in 15 min or less. If I could think of calling at and t why didnt the at and t employee think of that!!! I only gave another start instead of just one because at least he was coming out checking on us and letting us know he was still working on it. But I'm disappointed that he never once thought to call his own company branch to do the switch. I basically did his job. read more

They are not a real store and will only sell you something after hours of customer service. If I could give zero stars, that's what i'd give. I had to go to corporate to get everything straightened out. The people at the store were full of promises but had zero follow thru. I was told 2 different dates for installation, DirectTv was actually installed on completely different day. I was promised a discount for my troubles, nothing. I was supposed to get free HBO, nothing. They were going to disconnect my Dishnetwork, they didn't. If I could cancel without a fee, I would and would go back to Dish now. Let me start of by saying working at AT&T, Customer service is all you do. One of the employees named Holly treated us and talked to us as if we were children. If you're not going to provide customer service then you need to work in a different field. She began to help already seemed rushed and frustrated, we did not give her any attitude just wanted some questions answered. She went to the back of the store to figure something out (which she didn't even say, she literally left to the back without telling us why) I decided to finally switch to pay as you go. Finally she comes out and I tell her we would like to just switch to pay as you go and Holly responds " do you want to hear what I have to say or you want to switch" her tone was full of attitude. We calmly heard what she had to say I was shocked on how she said that. We still decided to switch she literally just left and we had to wait some more for another rep. (Soon after she clocked out and left the store) Tony helped us next and he was great at explaining everything . It's such a shame that we had to go through tukwila and Covington through 2 reps that couldn't explain anything in detail to finally a 3 rep to explain it thoroughly. I was in the store today to return a couple of tablets that were sold to me yesterday that didn't do what the salesperson said they would. They would not Number Sync with the existing phones I have. I paid $.99 each for them and they wanted a $45.00 restocking fee after the manager kept insisting you could not make phone calls from a tablet. I had to go through the documentation that came with the tablet to prove her wrong. Yes, I said MANAGER! Evidently they don't train these people on what they sell or how to provide customer service. She made me deal with customer service on the phone and would not offer any assistance at all. I was able to get my account credited for the $90.00 it cost to return them, but I would NOT recommend this place to my worst enemy. read more

My parents and I were due for upgrades on our phones so we stopped by the Covington store. Upon entrance, we were greeted and told someone will be with us shortly and within a min or two there was someone to help us. Both Holly and Cindy spent several hours with us (translating was involved as my parents don't speak English well and were switching from a Samsung to iPhones). Cindy the manager was even trying to get us an even better deal for our monthly fee on the tablets via Direct TV. We were set up with new phones, phone covers and 3 new tablets. Long story short, Holly and Cindy were very nice, super helpful and extremely patient through out the whole process (there was also another gal that briefly helped us and saved the day with my dad's phone so koodo's to her also). We were there between 4:30-7:30pm, somewhat of a busy time? In any case, customer service was outstanding read more
