OK, so truth be told...my iPhone 5C was just getting too hard to C (aka SEE). I don't change out my cellphone often, but I gotta say...the screen was so dang small it became increasingly annoying having to zoom in all the time. Enter the iPhone 6s Plus...omg...so dreamy! Thanks to my Verizon sales guy for the awesome service and hooking me up with an affordable upgrade! He was professional, courteous and answered all of my questions with thoroughness and knowlege. After making an appointment, I showed up at the proper time. I was met outside the store by an employee who seemed as terrified of me as if I was clutching a crucifix and wearing garlic. I told him my problem, I had just purchased a new phone and would like some help transferring my photos and activating the phone. He told me he has no idea how to do that, go home and do it myself. "Follow the prompts." I said I had tried to do that, it wasn't working, and he ran away to sit on his butt and watch TikTok. There were NO other customers in the store. Very rude, very unhelpful. We waited for over an hour on an off Tuesday night for assistance while the manager did not help anyone and stood in front of the computer. They were super slow and not accommodating. The Manager Jason is super-kind and helped me through the frustrations of again re-verifying my discount. This is the third year in a row that the VZW call center stated that they we're not in receipt of my discount process. " Do you hear me now? Good ! Do you hear me now? Good ! " We all remember that commercial with the Verizon guy walking every 5 ft asking that same question. Those 5 little words supposedly put Verizon on the map for reliability in service for where ever you are. One of the top 2 in the cell phone providers with AT&T , Verizon tries to stay ahead of the game. I came in here seeing I was out of contract with my current carrier ** cough TMobile cough ** looking to come back to Verizon. I have had these guys before and yes they did work good for me when I did have them. When I lived in Pennsylvania that is, but now at my current residence in New Jersey these guys aren't as reliable. I had asked the Verizon rep if they plan on adding any towers in my area , seeing it is not the strongest in reception. I also expressed to him that I did not want to go and purchase a booster to enhance my signal strength. I would like the comfort in knowing I can go without it and save some money in these hard times. I was told I could update my phone every month if I did have any problems, hoping they altered the signal. This is an added job I am not interested in personally. You are a top tier company , you ask for top dollar in your plans, I expect top of the line service. With this in mind I had gone home to think about what I wanted to do. I had asked my neighbor if I could borrow her phone to check out how the reception was. Without hesitation she had said no too good, her fiance has AT&T and receives a better reception. Now with this also in my mind I will be looking at AT&T , to see if I can get a phone. I have had my fill with TMobile and the constant mistakes in billing. So... Do you hear me now? In a way, I feel like I just walked into a car dealership without knowing a thing about the different models beyond their face values. My iPhone 4, which I have happily used for two years, has recently been acting up. As in, the clicky-button thing on the bottom decides when it feels like actually clicking these days, which makes for a difficult phone experience. Anyway. I wanted to stick with the iPhone. The 5 was suggested as the best option (camera, Siri, etc.) and I opted for that one. Once it was time to hand over my credit card, I was a little frustrated to know that they refused to accept my nice employer discount since the (family plan) account is in my mom's name. The sales girl did, however, offer me a nice price break on my phone and new accessories if I traded in my old phone. I asked her what could be retrieved from my phone, and she said my contacts. After I left the store, with the understanding that my old phone was about to be cleared, I texted a tech-savvy friend who quickly informed me that I should really drive back there and have them transfer the rest of my data. But, by that point, I had already spent too much of my Saturday in Verizon, and preferred to just re-download the apps and go on without my other, non-reloadable stuff. In all, not that great of a buying experience, but the clicky button on the phone works, so that's always a big plus. read more

If I could give them minus stars I would. Verizon advertises lower prices than you will ever see. I cut the cable for being over $100 and they still charge over $100 for internet and phone service only. No channels and no real service. Their technicians installed new wires and passed them through a doorway so you can't close the door. When I called to have them move them they want to charge for the service charge for their bad workmanship. They left old wires hanging from my ceiling they simply cut. I had to go up in the ceiling and disconnect it. I still have not seen my check for doing their work. They are the WORST cable internet service out their. They offer not discount for seniors or people on disability who can barely afford their cost as it is and they don't care. I wish a new company would rise up and knock them off their soapbox. We walked in with our three unlocked iPhones ready to sign up for new service.. upon arrival and check in we were informed to set an appointment to do our phone service. "It's going to take a lot to transfer you over" Overall it just didn't make sense to me we were there ready to sign up for service and purchase more products... and considering I've never had to do that for any cell phone store I was a bit confused. So here we are now at att store and transferring our phones over, buying one iPad, and one iPhone 12... needless to say glad they gave us the heads up ahead of time how inconvenient they would be moving forward . read more

Do not go to this store. My wife and I tried to switch providers and take advantage of the switch promotion back in January and the customer service team there told us that we did not have a timeline to submit our claim for our rebate. Fast forward to today and we had to find out from the Rebate Team that there was a 60 day window. The Sales Rep at this store reassured my wife and I that there was NO DEADLINE or TIMELINE. We even asked him about it and he told us NO!!! Don't try and go to the store manager for help because she does not care. I've put multiple calls into this woman twice in 24 hours now and was told by someone else at this store that she would call back and SHE HAS NOT. In fact I had to call again tonight and she had already left for the day. Like I said....don't switch to Verizon Wireless because this switch promotion is nothing but a damn scam and TWO...if you do decide to switch, don't use this store!! read more

I was treated very rudely when I tried to return an item. I had to get the district manager involved who did work very hard to correct the issue. After a few more mishaps from the staff, I was able to exchange my item for what I originally wanted. Any future dealings with this store I would go directly through the district manager, he was great contacting me and correcting the issue. read more

Verizon home services are the best of the best. Do not go near Comcast. The CEO of Comcast told me he is powerless over his own employees and believe me it shows. One day after i got new service from them at a rate of 200$ a month for 2 years Comcast employees cut my service for an old 2010 bill for a measly 500$ how greedy can u be? I spoke to two sales people for less than 30 seconds each, when both said I need to come into the store to get my questions answered and then they hung up on me. I can not give no stars. read more

If I could give this store a 0 rating I would. My husband and I went in last Sunday to switch carriers because we thought we were paying too much for AT&T-- little did we know we were in fact, getting a better deal with them. At the Deptford store, Rocco assured us that our bill would be no more than $210.00 per month, which would include new phones (I didn't even want a new phone because my old iPhone 6s was fine, but they make you upgrade when you switch), screen protector for my husband, unlimited data, and insurance on both phones. Little did we know that Verizon charges a $20.00 per line access fee- a total of $40 per month, which they will not take off for any reason. This was not listed on any paperwork we signed, nor was it ever mentioned, even when we asked if there were additional charges on the bill. There have been many complaints about this-- we found them online. It's a scam-- Verizon makes you think you're getting more data for about the same amount of money, but they neglect to tell you about this line access fee, which will end up costing us an additional $350 per year. We were there almost two hours and waited patently when the store's system went down for about 30 minutes. Rocco also told us that we would receive two credits, or gift cards, for switching over; one for the phone upgrades, and one to pay off our cancellation fee and remaining fee from AT&T. Hr couldn't tell us exactly how much we would be charged, or how much we would get. He told us that this credit would available for us to redeem that evening. NOT THE CASE. Verizon makes you wait for the final bill from your previous carrier before they will issue the credit (which makes sense, but we were not told this). When I tried to redeem the phone upgrade credit, I received a notification that the credit would not become available until July 2017. So, now I have to pay my current AT&T bill for this month, which I wold told I could pay off with the credits, which are not ready, plus $300 for Verzion's bill, due June 1. I called Verizon and explained the situation. It's only been a week since we switched, and today is the first day I was able to access my Verizon bill. They offered us two "deals": pay off the balances of our new phones ($840 and $750, so we can eliminate the line access fee), or we could set up direct payments for $10 off per month. That's all they could offer. They don't offer any of the discounts that AT&T gave us (educator discount, rollover, etc.). Plus, the SERVICE IS BULLSHIT. We've lived here 3 years and I've never dropped a call. I have no service in our kitchen, living area, or basement. Never had an issue with AT&T. I do not recommend this store, but also don't bother switching. Scams and bad service. They just wanted to make a sale and get us out of the store. I will be contacting the BBB. Olga one of the Verizon sales reps at this store seemed to be overwhelmed and irritated when trying to help me on a Monday night. She told me she would credit to my account for the restocking fee for my new phone I purchased because the color I originally had they were out of and could no longer order one from Verizon. She told me the credit would be input in the system that night and I could come back in that Friday to get a screen protector that they were also out of for my phone. I asked her if she would be working that Friday and she stated she would until 6 pm. I let her know I would have to get out of work early and drive an hour to make it there before she left. On that Friday I was able to get out of work early to get this taken care of upon entering the store I found out she lied about working that day she was off and also she never credited my account. I gave the sales rep 4 days to credit my account what she said she would input the night I visited the store and still had not done so. Most unprofessional and rude thing that has ever been done to me boldly lied to my face about the credit and working and made me leave work to find out she had the day off. Thankfully, I was helped by two other representatives to correct what she never did. This has been the second time I have been let down by this location by the unprofessional and rude behavior of the employees and second time I have been lied to regarding services they stated they would provide. read more
