My phone was malfunctioning and I needed to replace it with the insurance I paid for. They were busy and l waited for them to look at my phone with me. After waiting an hour they gave me a sheet to go to a website and request the replacement online so they can help other customers. My daughter came in to this store to turn on a new iPhone after her older model went dead. She has done done this every 2-3 years for several years. She is on my corporate business plan. When she explained this to Daniel, he said that this is not possible to do w/o the my company business manager actually coming to the store. She patiently explained that she has been doing this for years and that the store simply calls the business manger, who's name & number are clearly shown in the Verizon account info as the people to contact, and added that the company is in San Mateo, Ca. ( 5 hours away). Daniel said 1) "We cannot call them, if they want to talk to us, they can call us.. but would not give a direct number to the store! 2) Daniel gave my daughter the Verizon business account phone number, which is inactive on Sunday ( when she was there). So this number was useless. Daniel did not care. Daniel showed no patience or willingness to help my daughter who has been a Verizon customer for the last 7 years. In our particular case my daughter works long hours in the local hospital emergency room and is also going to college so her free time is pretty hard to come by. Daniel's unwillingness to just give my daughter a direct phone number or to call my company business manager (who was actually waiting for this pre-arranged call) shows a remarkable lack of care for Verizon patrons and I suggest the customer go anywhere else for reasonable customer service. RUDE! i purchased a brand new iPhone 13 here recently. I had my 6s model switched over to my hospitalized father's account and had his phone loaded to the 6s. He needed a phone he could hold onto and his old flip phone and the hospital land lines fell from his hand. The next day when i tried the phone before delivering it, it would not call any of his contacts. I went back to Verizon on Broadway. I was met at the door by a lady who haughtily informed me i had no appointment and could not be helped. I looked at several employees just standing around. I quietly informed her they had not correctly set up the phone i was taking to the hospital. She crossed her arms and reiterated, no appointment, no service. I told her I was sorry i had dropped a grand at her business the day prior for a new phone and had them attempt to set my phone up for my hospitalized farher. She just stared at me. I went down the road to the mall and the next Verizon office. They fixed the phone immediately. Less than 5 minutes. Dad now had a smaller iPhone which fit his hand. And it works! Knew exactly what to do to unpair then pair the watch. Everything worked great after our visit there. We did have an appointment and we were helped within five minutes of arriving. My family and I recently had a couple of appointments at this location. Both times, we were easily able to make appointments through their online portal. The nice part about the employees I worked with at Verizon, was that they were not "pushy sales people". The first person to help us was Desiree. She helped solve our problem with a simple low cost option, was very knowledgeable, and super friendly during the transaction. The next day, we made another appointment and ended up working with Nick. Nick was also very knowledgeable, kind, friendly, and not at all pushy. He was very helpful, and helped us get out of there within a decent amount of time, which I also appreciated. There were many people who walked in, and it appeared that those people did have to wait quite a while to be helped. I would highly recommend booking an actual appointment, and I would recommend asking for Desiree or Nick if possible! read more

Be careful buying anything here. My brother bought a cheap tablet on Black Friday and they hurried him through the paperwork, failing to mention it came with a 2 year contract. He tried returning it literally 15 mins later when I showed him the real email receipt, and they seriously charged the $35 restock fee. For something that was never turned on and barely left the store. And it still shows the extra line on our account even after the return+cancellation. Went to the store in Eureka, ca. They made me late for work. I paid my bill I thought and got an upgrade. Then my phone would not work for 5 days. I need my phone for work. Not acceptable. I went in store and the guy Jared told me he couldn't help me. He then put me on the phone (in store) with customer service. I was in the phone for 1 hour. I spoke to two people on the phone that were no help at all. Nobody could figure out what the problem was. After an hour the manager Jared finally came up and looked at my account. He said I only owed 12 dollars on my account. After an hour of waiting, lost work, lost money, lost time. I think Jared need to go back to work at subway! read more

Overstaffed, Undertrained, and generally misinfomed. The customer in this case was insulted, falsely corrected, and denied a positive customer experience. There is a thick atmosphere of up-selling garbage and rip off contracts. Most of the staff have a strong sense of delegated responsibility, and very unprofessional punk attitudes toward their customers who happen to be paying through the nose for overrated service. Update 10/26/2016: Went in to Verizion to check on any information on the new iPhone X. Was pretty busy at 9:45 am. Was greeted and advised there was a 20 min. wait. At 18 minutes Tim M. came to see what I needed. He was FABULOUS. Had up to date information and a special link for ordering my X. I am very grateful we have such a wonderful store right here in town. 5 Stars and a very happy customer. Decided to go in to Verizion store and get a little information about trading up my 7 iPhone to the X. I entered the store and was asked " how can I help you ?" I was happy about that. But... as I asked my questions.... like ..." I'm planning on trading up and wonder if there are any in store incentives " I was told " iphone x is not available yet" uh... I know that. I know pre order is October 27. Back to my question....Well... he didn't know. Ok. So moving on... After I order it and it's delivered to store, will they have appointment times to come pick it up or do I just show up on Nov. 3? He didn't know the answer to that but assured me they never do appointments. So now after the non answers I'm not sure if ordering through the store is the way to go. This would be an easy 1 star if it weren't for a couple of people that work there. The rest that I have dealt with are incompetent at processing anything more than wave hello. I went in there because my Razr Maxx phone had frozen and quit working. I tried all of the reset/force reset options that their website offers. They had determined that it was a manufacturing problem and they could order me a new one(this happened on a Thursday morning.) I have the insurance policy but that really wasn't even needed since i have had the phone for around 2 months. They told me it was going to be an overnight delivery and I thought that was the end of it. I go and check the tracking info online the next day and find out it wouldn't be arriving until the following Monday in the evening. So naturally I drive back down to Eureka to find out what's going on, and they lie to me and tell me the policy has changed and the MANAGER that ordered it for me just didn't realize. In fact, the policy had not changed and the sales associate had lied to cover up the problem(even tried to tell me this happened to her.) Not until I talk to a rep online do I find out all of this. Just avoid at all costs. Try the kiosk in the mall or drive to Redding, it'll probably be worth it. read more

Showed up at 5:25 pm and was refused service when I asked for a new phone. The store was empty and the employee was rude; refusing to help me saying, that they only can pay bills from 5:30 to close and I couldn't purchase a new phone (after driving 45- hour). Went back to the car and ordered online. This place sucks avoid if you can or until they hire proper staff. I would like to give this Verizon more stars because the store is so beautiful inside, probably one of the best decors I've seen for Verizon. BUT I went to buy a new phone and their iPhone 6's display was strangely running 3G and didn't work. No WIFI??? WTF??? I asked the staff member and he didn't know what what to say except trying to reset the phones and they still didn't work. The customer service was very friendly and working hard, but geez, the products your selling need to work!! Uh Manager on Duty?? Dear Verizon. Sad to say Contracts are of the past and You're still trying to hook customers up with one AND now F#€king charge you for it. I finally got up the nerve to post my quick lil story from last year: I've been a customer with Verizon ever since my first phone over 15 years ago. There was some sort of trade-in offer for the Galaxy S9 in the latter half of 2018 and, being more than halfway through my payments and contract for my S6, I thought I could go in and ask if I qualified. I myself work in a sales environment, so I know a pinch about these deals in general. When I walked in I was not greeted despite the mostly empty store and found a girl with a tablet and a name tag. I asked her about the trade-in promotion I saw advertised and explained I had some payments left on my phone but was wondering if I could take advantage of the deal myself... She said "no". That's it. No "I'm sorry but no", no kind of explanation on how the promotion works, no offer to sit down and look over what I might qualify for, just NO. I was astounded. I asked her why not, and she only said "You can't get it". I already decided at that point I wanted nothing to do with her but asked to sit down and look at my contract anyway... that was the only useful thing she did, telling me how long I had left. I have never been back since despite now being out of contract. Avoid this store at all costs. read more

This is the only Verizon game in town unless you go to Costco which has a limited number of phones. I'm giving this place 2/10 and here's my story. I went in today to renew my plan and upgrade to an iPhone 5. I knew exactly what I wanted and could cut fifteen minutes off my experience avoiding the upselling. I went in at 4pm. There were eight customers waiting in front of me and only one sales associate that I could see. I could tell this was going to be an absolute nightmare so I left and came back at 7pm. I found that I was now number two in line. Get this, I recognized the number one person from when I was in the store at 4pm. She was still there! There were nine people behind me. I thought this was going to be quick. 40 minutes later nothing changed so I left. Just know that this store will never be a quick and efficient experience for you. When I bought my original Droid two years ago it took an hour and a half from the time I was waited on until I got out of the store. I think I'm going to see about ordering a phone on the Verizon website. Anything but having to go back to the retail store. What a nightmare.
