Have had wonderful, amazing experiences at this store in the past. Used to be a go-to! But when will businesses learn that they lose customers- AND money- if they employ people who are just nasty & hateful right from the get go? Like I KNOW, masked up dude wearing a mask in an empty store (?), that NOBODY likes their job, especially in this economy. I get it. But that doesn't mean you need to take your hate out on a customer who simply walks through the door and says in a friendly manner "Hey, how's it going?" (A friendly customer who has always, always, without fail, generously tipped previous employees of this establishment who were, ya know, basically nice & decent?) SO... if you like being glared at with the most hateful expression ever for 10 seconds before being spoken to like you've just killed their grandma with a lifeless, affectless, "How can I help you?" THIS is your place! For all the masochists out there... So, I tried again... "Hi!!!!" and again was hatefully glared at, followed by "How can I help you?" with the MOST disdainful, ugly tone of voice. As me simply opening the door and walking in was the bane of this person's existence. Yeah, bro, that's a no go. At that point I might or might not have said something rather cheeky and rude in my shocked and appalled state. In hindsight, I wish I would've said something along the lines of "You could 'help' me by treating me as a human being, please." But maybe, I should think positively, and give this biz the benefit of the doubt and some props? Maybe they're employing people on the autism spectrum who can't help they don't follow polite societal norms? If that's the case, then the owner really ought to give workshops on how to interact with the general public for these employees. As for me? I also slave at a job I'm not too fond of, but I would NEVER in a million years dream of taking out my disdain on an innocent customer. So I happily drove to another iPhone store in Eureka where I plopped down $150 for what I needed as there was NO WAY in hell I was going to give this business money after being so atrociously treated. Am writing this review from Venice Beach-- THAT is how stunning the service here is!! I researched the best tech/phone support in Humboldt for my dear 86 year old firecracker mom who lives in McKinleyville, who has become a texting superstar lol and was distressed to find her older iphone battery dying. Dan is a freaking superstar of both tech acumen and humanity. He was beyond helpful, dedicated, knowledgeable and everything else you could ever hope is there across state to help one's beloved 86 year young madre. I just returned from iExperts and am so impressed with their service. My problem was simple--I needed the charging port cleaned on my phone. I was worried that I might damage it so I stopped by to see if they could help. When my turn came, the technician was quick and efficient. About a minute later, the phone was charging again. Whew. And speaking of a charge--there wasn't one for the service! If you have troubles with your iPhone, I highly recommend that you check these folks out! read more

Fast and easy turnaround for a cracked screen on a S10+ -- they didn't have the part in stock, but had it ordered and fixed super quickly (under 2 hours once the part came in). Even despite all the craziness going on in California right now, were super professional and accommodating. Happy to spend money locally to repair rather than ship my phone off who knows where. They do what they say they'll do have n reasonable timelines. Prices aren't great compared to more competitive markets, but the work functions properly and looks like new, and is often done pretty quickly. They don't try to up-sell or pull any weird add-ons: they hit their estimates exactly each time my wife and I brought our phones here (at least 4 times in 7 years), and I appreciate that straightforwardness. I've also been advised against taking less necessary services, which to me is a sign of honest sales. They're the best in Humboldt for sure. read more

GREAT SERVICE! We came upon this shop while moving our daughter into HSU. She was having some technical issues with her MacBook and we wanted to resolve prior to school starting. The gentleman that greeted us was very friendly and went above and beyond to help her. Even though they specialize in phones and not laptops, he still offered to take a look to see if he could help her. He looked it over, asked her a couple of questions and they were able to resolve. We offered to pay him but he said he just took a quick look and instead to make sure we come back in the future if we ever needed service. We will definitely be back and let all parents and students know about this little gem repair shop. It's nice to know there are still honest people out there who really love their jobs! read more

IExperts are the best! I've had my screen replaced and they did it so quickly, and for a good price! And they were beyond helpful. The last time I went in I actually needed a whole new phone and they were able to give me many different options and helped me choose what would be best. I couldn't recommend them more and even though I hope I don't have to go back (broken screen, broken phone) I definitely will when I do have any problems because I know they can fix them. read more

I have owned four iPhones. I have broken all of them at one time or another and one of them I broke twice. I suppose I should learn from this lesson, but until now it's been so easy to just get a screen replaced I've been happy with a phone that had no case on. The I, so called, "experts" have changed my mind though. Although in San Francisco where I used to love it was easy to get a quick replacement, they charge more money than I have ever run into. I thought it might be okay this time, but then when the guys tried to fix it they said it was water damaged to, WHICH IT WAS NOT, and that I would need to fork over another bundle to finish the job. Seeing as how my phone was literally in pieces they had me and I couldn't very easily just bring it elsewhere. I paid them and they finished the job. They weren't very friendly and I would not recommend them. They will go to the point of no return and then tell you to pay more. read more

VERY FRUSTRATING. If you have an iPhone 5 or up: be cautious! You are risking the fingerprint sensor from being damaged when they are repairing your cracked screen. This is exactly what happened to my iPhone 5s after taking it in to have my cracked screen repaired. It is deceiving to not disclose the risk that the fingerprint sensor faces when repairing even just a cracked screen. The repairman that assisted me the 2nd time I took it in (after realizing that the fingerprint sensor was not working) even said, "If we did state the specific risks that your phone faces when replacing a cracked screen, we would have to be here an hour explaining it all". A responsible business would have taken the time to do exactly that, and I as a customer would read this explicit liability form. My experience here was terrible to say the least. read more

This place was fast, good, and reasonably priced. I took my husband's iPhone 6 there because it wouldn't hold a charge. They replaced the battery and voila it works great again! He told me how I might be able to fix it on my own and what my next steps should be if that didn't work. WOW! Full of broken promises, an inability to communicate effectively and a complete failure at taking accountability for their mistakes. Not only did they give me a great deal replacing my cracked iPhone4 screen, but they also gave me fair money for it when I sold it to upgrade to my iPhone5. One of the few businesses in Arcata earning their business by being good at it instead of just being the only game in town. Spent $150 to deal with this store for a month before i got a satisfactory result. Desk workers were always nice and polite but the manager was very rude. I cracked my ipod screen, and though the camera and screen selection worked fine I decided to fix it to avoid getting shards of glass in my fingers. They replaced the screen, but I had to call them repeatedly to check its progress. When I got it back it was glitching and selecting things on its own and the front camera did not work anymore. I took it back and the manager first told me it was a software problem (?) I didn't know what I broke when I dropped it (??) and soldering was likely damaged, and disconnected completely when repairing. He seemed nervous and agitated from the getgo, like I was an unruly customer (I had been completely calm, though unsatisfied.) I thought this explanation might be likely enough and asked him to call his owner to see if we could bring this to a satisfactory ending since my ipod worked worse now than when it was shattered. At my insistence he did, and said I would be getting a replacement. At this point I was very satisfied with this and waited for it to come in. When I got it and took it home, I realized it was only a 16 gigabyte to replace my 32!! There is a distinct price difference in ipods with different memory so I was upset that I couldnt fit everything that I had on my last ipod with room to spare, since of course this was literally a device with half the memory. I assumed it was a mistake and asked for a replacement that actually met the same standards my original ipod did (working camera, working screen, 32g) This is where my experience turned from mediocre to awful. The manager called me and said that the wrong ipod was MY FAULT because I (QUOTE:) "didn't say [I] wanted a 32 gig, [I] only said [I] wanted a working camera." I was absolutely floored that he thought this needed to be clarified or that this was an acceptable replacement. I even asked him if he would be satisfied with paying $150 for a downgraded device and he said he absolutely would, and kept insisting this was "technically" the same device. The absolute nerve this guy had! I felt like he was just trying to bully me into taking his mistake, and it started to feel like I had been scammed! I was openly upset at this point and called my experience a "shitshow" and that he was being rude, at which point he hung up on me. I called back, calmly, to reach an actual compromise and he said he didn't speak to customers who cursed. Eventually he said he would call his owner to see if I could get another actual replacement (Why didnt he do this first instead of BULLYING me???) and the owner of course said yes. While waiting for the new device, I mentioned to a worker that I would keep my 16g until the new one came, because I didn't feel comfortable with their service at this point, still wary of a scam. The manager left a rude message on my voicemail demanding to know why I was "holding the ipod hostage." the device came and I couldn't be more relieved to not have to go back to that store EVER AGAIN. I finally have a working ipod after over a month of biting my tongue and trying to remain calm during their blunders and disrespect. They get the one star because of their pleasant workers and my eventual satisfaction, but BEWARE you may have to stand your ground and not give in to the manager's desperate intimidation tactics of fast, elevated talking and telling you the mistake was yours! If the owner of this store sees this review, I would like to say thank you, but please retrain your manager in customer service because his attitude is absolutely terrible and he has no idea how to diffuse a situation. All the solutions I had to come up with, he gave me no reassurance, and blaming me for his mistake was the very edge of what I could take. He only made me feel confused, insulted, and angry, and like I was very much being taken advantage of. That might be able to fly with naive college students, but as someone who has worked in customer service I can tell you it did not impress me. If thats not the kind of reputation you want for your business in this town, I would suggest a change. read more

In October, my iPod touch fell out of my pocket, and it landed where a car door shuts. I shut the car door and when I opened the door, I realized my ipod was there. My ipod was shattered. Then I took it to the iPhone surgeon, and he fixed it! It made it look brand new. :) I defiantly recommend going to the iPhone surgeon if your iPhone/ipod/iPad is shattered, alister will make it look good as new! :3 read more

These guys ruin a regular con job! They told me it would be $150 to repair my iPhone, they opened out, told me it also needed to have the mother board cleaned for another $100! I had to take it home in prices because they refused to finish the job saying it wouldn't work if they did. I brought it home, ordered some tools and eventually pour it back together myself following a YouTube tutorial. It works fine. I don't know how a business like that is still running... read more

They replaced the headphone jack and battery on my Samsung Galaxy s7 for the same (very reasonable price) they quoted me.
