Their website looks and functions like a throwback site from 1999 requiring users to download pdf's to find out pricing and doesn't list tech support contact info. Their prices are extremely high, and worst of all, they force a land line on their customers despite the fact it's 2015 and no one uses land lines anymore. But, because they're the only connection option for so many people, they can force their archaic business practices on their unfortunate customers. Garden Valley Telephone Company makes Comcast look like saints. A few free tips: 1. List your prices on the site. No more pdf downloads. 2. Unbundle mandatory land lines. 3. List the tech support phone number. 4. Post a support faq for users with simple troubleshooting steps. 5. Communicate with your customers on eta for installation. 6. Communicate tech support status with customers rather than letting issues fall into a black hole of despair and confusion. Join the modern world. It's not 1999 anymore, yo.

I asked about having a problem with my alarms on the phone. Now I have never had an issue of any kind with the actual software. And he looked at me like I was dumb and very snotty told me that Apple would have to help with that. How exactly would I have known that if I had never had an issue? Other than that, the service was great and I got what I needed and was done in a timely manner.

Worst customer service I have experienced. My Internet service was set up with the wrong address,…read morethe great perks and prices the salesperson guaranteed didn't exist and the price was double. When I cancelled and returned equipment and phone, he took over transferring the data to my new device which he had no idea how to do because he hates Google, instead of letting me do it, didn't wait to confirm completion and factory reset the old phone causing me to lose more than half of the data. When I called the store to let them know how terrible Kenny's customer service was the manager Kyle claimed no responsibility, offered Geek squad as a solution and when I responded to his "going forward" answer there is no forward Verizon because they customer service is non-existent in the store he hung up on me. Prob had to return to holding up the counter with the other 5 sales people. If I ever had to recommend Verizon to anyone this is the last store I'd tell them to go to. If you can't set up services correctly, know how the products you are selling operate, and are more interested in getting the restocking fee and the customer lot of the way maybe you should look for a new line of work. The $50-thats for putting the phone in a box and returning it to Google not reselling it. That free phone with a 3 year contract and bad service or a better cheaper service but you buy that phone or bring your own they can't transfer previous data over are the only options they could have but didn't offer to keep a customer, it doesn't make switching to a new provider difficult. Sorry you lost your commission but I have a phone set up with data that's either missing or messed up and Geek squad or repair shop out of my pocket is your solution, maybe you should have started with a lemonade stand upgrading with cookies and sweetener first. Be cheaper for the customers who get unqualified sales people who lack skills and respect.

I have not made a 1 star review for any business anywhere in the US .; That includes motels, veterinarians, restaurants but ....about our local Verizon store in Alexandria, MN I give one star. I am guessing this is a non corporate store and not corporately owned. In reading all reviews about Verizon it does seem a LOT of complaints involve non corporate stores. They will sell you a phone. That is pretty much it. Poorly trained employees who should not be on the floor or still in training re: customer service, plans and the phones themselves are attempting to help people with Expensive product and investment *I was pushed towards plans with far too much data GB for me. "It was better to start me with more than too little." I went home to read info on plans since I could tell I wasn't hearing about them all.( For what ever reason, there are no Verizon plan brochures any more. ) I've been a Verizon customer for years. ( I pretty much had to be due to tower coverage) We can ALL see I didn't need much GB. * I chose my own phone without the flailing, failing, inadequate and mainly under-educated help from the employee. "Oh, you don't want to go that cheap" is pretty much the only information I got. This girl just doesn't know her stuff. I went home to read about my probable phone choice and others as well. * She can transfer Nothing. (Among other simple things.... Me-where's the ap button on my home screen- Her- "oh , I think they did away with it)" I specifically said to Point my pictures to Gallery, where I can save all and edit. I specifically said DO NOT POINT THEM towards Google ( cloud). "Oh, you'll like it. That's where it goes....to the Cloud" I got the cloud...nothing in my Gallery. Messages did not go over , NOTHING transferred over. With exception of photos and messages, I brought my new Samsung phone home overnight and got it back fairly close to operating as my earlier Samsung phone . Took my phone to the local computer/phone specialist . He transferred my phone over in it's Entirety in an hour. Same with the T mobile guy previous this same week. Sadly, I couldn't keep my Mobile phone due to lack of good coverage in my area. I am stuck with Verizon for awhile longer. Little competition can create "don't have to care" attitude. I am waiting for T Mobile to get busy on their towers in this area so I can switch.

And so on and so on.......until literally 6 days later with no cable and Internet because my last provider was cancelled. This was a direct tv install and they are contracted with them or were. Called them with no answer. So then I called direct tv directly and told them to get their stuff out of my living room I'm done with them and their poor service. Direct tv billed my card on file for $470 worth of a cancelled contract. Funny cause I didn't sign anything because the install wasn't even finished and I had no service at all. They also charged me for a full month of service at $75, and a couple other bogus fees. Called the management of the service center and described the situation and he told me basically to get bent. Complained to the BBB, and to the state. The state called me a few years later asking for a statement, wanted me part of a big law suit against direct tv experiencing the same thing. Never heard the result. All might have been ok if they finished my install (satellite solutions), but with a law suit against direct tv I'm doubting I'd be happy. Never again will I trust direct tv or satellite solutions. Cost me 575 that I didn't get back.
