I don't know if anybody uses a sales woman by the name of Monica Fishkill Verizon location. Don't she a liar. She gets all excited to give you the Monica discount. Her discount cost us 100.00 more. She tells you we get all these discounts. What she neglects to tell you, you have to do it on your own. Ok that was the first month. Our bill was supposed to go up 8.00. It went over 100.00. Went back to store after Monica put the discount in for us. She didn't. LIED AGAIN. asked her what was going and she smirked at my husband. You don't have the discounts in. You put them in for us. They refused to help or explain. What a terrible sales person. I wouldn't use her or trust the Monica way again. read more

Verizon is no good. I disputed a charge, and Verizon Visa Card accepted my dispute, and in response, Verizon Wireless claimed my bill was passed due even though the passed due amount was not included in my new bill. Plus, I was on automatic pay with the credit card that Verizon was offering, All bills to Verizon Wireless have been paid and up to date except for the disputed claim of a hot spot that I did not receive nor could I use because I was on a road trip in my RV. I told the man in India I did not want it because I was traveling and was told my old hot spot was outdated. Every time I tried to connect with a human, the AI would direct me to pay the entire bill, including the disputed amount that Verizon Visa. Verizon even took the hot spot off on the next bill. Now, I can not make phone calls or text or receive messages. I have printed up all relevant bills to bring into the Fishkill Verizon. Then, I am dropping my service with a company that totally outsources is business to incompetent people that read from script, constantly telling you,"No worries." Plus sending my name to collection, and I have excellent credit. It was as if I had to pay ransom to speak to a human. What Verizon did by not allowing me to make pho e calls and text should be illegal without having the common decency to allow me to speak to a human. You can keep your Verizon Wireless and your FIos that I dropped for not being able to speak to a human. read more

I stopped by the Fishkill, NY Verizon store today to purchase a new phone and family plan. They are eager to take your money. I spent $400 on a new phone. I realize one can spend much more. They offered me no help in setting up the phone or transferring data from the old phone to my new phone. I had to drive to the Poughkeepsie, NY Verizon store to actually pick up my new phone and the staff there would not help me with phone set up and data transfer. I will add that in each store there were in excess of 6 employees -- standing around doing nothing as there were only a couple customers in the store - including me. Every other time I've gotten a new phone all of this has been done for me. This is my first interaction with Verizon as a carrier and I am NOT impressed. Apparently Verizon loves to pay it's employees to stand around and do nothing. read more

My complaint is with the Verizon customer service department whose phone number is (800) 922-0204. Unfortunately after trying to locate a site for Verizon wireless customer service to give them a review, we are only provided with various stores that are not specifically involved with the complaint. I contacted Verizon wireless after not having service either LTE or Wi-Fi for an hour. I finally got through and was placed on hold for 15 minutes without ever having a person come on or an updated recording stating how long the wait would be. Verizon Wireless also did not offer a callback feature where you are asked for a callback number and you leave your number to be called back while you do other things. You would think a phone company would have this feature. After 15 minutes I got disconnected. I would give them a -4 stars if I could for this feature. My issue is still not resolved. read more

I had a terrible customer service from this place. My phone had a technical problem 3 months after the purchase, and I was told at a Verizon kiosk at mall it can get fixed under 1-year manufacture warranty. So I went in this store where they have technical support. The tech lady told me I still have to pay $50 because I changed the plan from individual to friends and family package. As I was talking to her, one 20 year old looking guy interrupted from nowhere, saying "We don't have to let you know that the phone goes out of warranty once you change to family plan because that usually doesn't happen and we can't tell you every single thing might happen once you change the plan." He was talking to me in a such rude way. I bet he thought I was a high school kid or something and could disrespect me like that. Plus, it does not make sense that manufacture warranty goes away once you change to family plan. Unlike the stupid kid say, people do change to family plan all the time and how would that affect the phone warranty? Just nonsense. Even if that's the company policy they can't do anything about, I hoped to be treated like a customer. read more

Verizon Wireless ripped me off. I signed up for an an unlimited data plan for my family. When my son moved into a new apartment he had to wait a few weeks before he could get wifi so, thinking that since our Verizon plan featured "unlimited" data, he used his phone as a hotspot. Bottom line: I got a bill for $1,7000 !!! After spending an insanely long time arguing with Verizon agents and their supervisors about the unfairness of that bill, they finally agreed to give me a 50% "discount". I took the discount, left Verison immediately and went to Sprint. I urge everyone to determine if alternatives to Verizon are viable in your area. (Verizon still has the fewst dead zones nationally but if your area is well covered, that may not be much of a factor. ) For me Sprint is every bit as good and significantly cheaper. I imagine that in some regions you may be stuck with Verizon. But it certainly would serve you well to ask your friends what celluar service they use and how well it works for them. If you can avoid Verizon, do so. read more

Go somewhere else unless you have hours to kill just to ask a question. I had a simple question and I had signed in just like all others have to. 30 minutes later I get a text that I'm next and I'll be seen shortly. 20 minutes after that I get a text that I've been checked in and I'm sitting here watching people come in with questions more in depth than I have that are being helped without even checking in. Meanwhile there are employees sitting around talking, plus I wasn't even greeted when I got in. I waited 5 minutes before I was even put on a list to wait an hour. People were leaving and others weren't being helped either. I will never bring my business here ever again and will strongly advise others away as well. read more

If you want to buy a new cell phone and don't know what to get, this store is a great place to try out the newest models. Also, the store is efficient if you need to pick up an online order. For anything else, you're better off going somewhere else or shopping off the Verizon website. My family and I purchased a set of new phones online and decided to pick up our phones at this Fishkill store. For convenience, we asked if our phone could be activated in the store. The salesperson told us that we would have to wait, because there was a line of customers. That's fair. We waited for over an hour as some of the employees stood around either staring at the wall or working on their tablets. Finally, we are helped by a salesperson. It turns out that the store doesn't activate phones that were purchased online, period. We asked the manager, who told us we could activate our phones in the store only if we purchased another (expensive) item from the store. This doesn't make sense. The store obviously has a mechanism to activate phones in-store, but it either is too lazy to do so or just wants to squeeze out more money from customers who need help. Hoping to get something out of our wait, I tried to purchase a Verizon accessory. It was out of stock. They have other items in the store, but they don't bother to stock Verizon items. Sure enough, we had trouble activating our phones once we got home. We spent half an hour waiting for telephone support, which in sharp contrast was helpful, courteous, and efficient. So this is a negative review for the store, not for Verizon itself. I don't know if this "no activation" nonsense is a store policy or a company policy. But as mentioned, don't waste your time trying to get help at this store. Stick to getting help from the website or from phone tech support - they know what they're doing and care about customer satisfaction. Two stars only because online pickup is fast. read more

Highly recommend. I was lucky enough to work with Alara. She helped me get exactly the phone I wanted and gave me tons of information about the benefits we had with our family plan. She was able to fine tune our plan which ended up saving us money per month which made the new phone purchase that much easier. She really was able to look at the whole picture and specify what was best for our needs, and exploited how to best work with Verizon to get the best price. read more

What a waste of time. I went in for a simple 5 minute sim swap. Just wanted change from a micro sim to a nano sim so I could use my phone number in a different device that I owned. I enter and am checked in immediately into the store. I'm advised that there are 7 people ahead of me. I provide them with an obligatory 20 minutes of waiting for my very simple, quick concern, and after that time I'm still 7th in line. Sitting amongst many other smug faces, the only employee seen is the woman holding the iPad. She told another person it would be "another 30 minutes", and told me it would be "another 30 minutes" too. Found it hard to believe. It shouldn't be an expectation to show up at a major cellular carrier store and wait an hour. I don't often come to Yelp to give reviews, as I understand how a negative review can impact those that work at such a store. Clearly this store needs to have a better management plan. I'm surprised they pay someone to sit in the front of the store on the iPad entering information - things customers can do themselves. It would be very helpful to have that person providing useful purchasing or support service than sit around and be the bearer of bad news, and the scapegoat when customers get frustrated at the lack of sales and support staff. I went to a locally owned verizon store, and within 5 minutes and zero waiting, my concern was reconciled. I had wished that I read the other reviews before wasting my time driving here. read more

The front desk was empty, and you could see associates peaking out to the floor from a back Door, yet no one would come out to help. My father had gone to the Fishkill Verizon store the representative who had helped him (falzona as seen the receipt) had done nothing to help him activate his phone. He just gave him a new phone and told him to charge it and would be good to go. I had gone to a different Verizon store (Wappingers Falls) and they had done everything with me step by step from activating to erasing my old phone to be sent out. I'm disappointed that they knew he wasn't tech savvy and they didn't offer to help him transfer his contacts or anything! I would never recommend anyone to Verizon store! read more

Can't say that I understand why there were so many negative reviews for this branch of Verizon Wireless. I found this location to be fast, thorough and extremely helpful Although there were quite a few people at the store, we were served almost immediately upon entering. Our sales associate really took the time to explain Verizon's new "no contract" situation and find the best possible way for my wife to get her new phone. He was extremely patient with her as she went between the phone options she was most interested in before finally picking the right one (unfortunately it was an Apple product.. Ugh). He voluntarily transfered all of the info from old to new and helped explain some basics of how to work the phone (as an android only user I was quite usless in this capacity). Overall a fantastic time experience in something that can't at times be daunting and filled with pressure. We were never forces to buy or change anything in our plan and they were even helpful enough to discuss ways to continue my unlimited data plan with a new phone without sacrificing it. Great place and I will be back when I'm ready to upgrade! read more

I remember when this store opened in 2006 and it's changed a lot since then. They had great customer service in the beginning, but went through a period when it wasn't so good. Now since they renovated (looks more like an Apple Store) the customer service is greatly improved and the people who work there are very helpful. The displays are nice too and they have a good variety of products for you to try out and will answer any questions. On my recent visit, the sales people seemed a lot more knowledgeable than I remembered. It's a nice change! read more

This is the most un-professional experience I have encountered at a retailer. The store manager was hostile, rude, dismissive and condescending. From the minute he approached me, he stated "passcode issue" we can't return your phones if you're having an issue with the passcode. Dismiss the fact, I received three phones by mail this morning, and was unable to complete a successful set up while on the phone with a Verizon representative, because one phone continued to display a message "login disabled", offering the option for me to try and log in again in 15 minutes. Dismiss the fact, the Verizon representative, who was assisting me on the phone, connected with my frustrations after several attempts to "fix" a new phone, and highlighted my option of returning the phone, an offer I accepted, and with the Fishkill, NY branch being my closest, "Corporate Store Location" option, (a reference used by the Verizon phone representative, as a company owned store for resolution) I was directed to go there. Dismiss the fact, It's not an issue with my passcode, but instead a device malfunction, and lets illuminate the fact that as of today, for whatever reason, I was not accepted in Verizon, and after over a decade long relationship, the store manager was making it clear, I was not wanted in his store. Dismiss the fact, the manager didn't ask what my issue is, or offer any resolution, such as "Sir, I'm going to look into this and see how we can get this resolved for you today. We haven't encountered many issues with your model device, so this was not expected to happen. I see you've been a customer for sometime, and have been using the iPhone for many years, I'm sure we can get past this and make you and your family happy." May sound corny, but I would have been sold on it! I informed the manager it was not a passcode issue, and described the message I was receiving, as another representative who was first assisting me handled the devices. The manager informed me that before anything can be done he would need to resolve my passcode issue. And I asked, "what passcode issue, why do I have to wait any longer? The phone arrived responding this way." His response was, because that's the way it is. I then raised my voice in frustration and asked, you are holding me accountable for a purchase I made of a device I believe may be defected, and his response was, "yes, they're your phones." I told him I needed to go and that he was completely wasting my time holding me up this way. I want to return my purchase and would like to leave, but again he insisted on holding me up to frustrate me more with being the blame for the issue I was having. I then told him you have the product, you've checked it, it's in the condition it was received and the charging batteries have not been opened, credit my account or I will be forced to put in a claim for a chargeback, as I walked toward the door. The manager responded, its your property if you leave it here I'll just mail them back to your home address. I stopped in my track and turned to him, only to notice he was following me as to intimidate me and said, I came to return, you took the product from my hands, it's your product now. So I have a question, is Verizon allowed to use my address at will to force me to keep unwanted product? If this man believes it's ok to do this, what else may he believe he can access my personal information for? Aren't there any confidentiality laws to protect me? I wish I could remember the name of the gentleman that helped me. I knew it all seemed too easy- charge me for $270 and leave me to transfer everything to my new phone by myself, not telling me the simple step of needing to activate it once everything is transferred. I couldn't send regular texts from my new phone but could from my old and couldn't figure out why. No, I'm not an expert. These things need to be explained. Thank goodness for their online chat support, although it took a little too long for someone to get online to help, once they did, they fixed it in less than five minutes. Every single time I walk into this store I walk out angry. It is as if Verizon trains their managers to not help the customers if it would cost any money for them. I don't ask for much from anyone but I accidentally added a line on my phone plan when I bought a new phone. They told me either I could pay $300 and delete the line or send the phone back and start again. I have been paying for an added line on my account for months now because my old phone was broken, cant afford $300 up front, and need a phone for work. Disappointing. Worst experience ever!!!..The manager John used every trick in the book to beat me out of a $299 damaged device fee..He said that i could have damaged the phone from the time i left the store to when i put it in the return box 3 days later .It was a overheating battery issue and vz said i had corrosion on hdmi port when i returned it to them in the mail..So they want me to pay $299 saying i damaged the phone when i did not...I am a 10 year customer that has never been late on a payment and this is how low this swindler and VZ will go!
