They are good for cell service, but terrible for home internet. They gave me a router that has an IP Address that is in a different State from where I live and causing my Streaming Service (YouTube TV) to constantly ask me to verify my location and I must go to a computer and input all info then wait to verify my location. Also constant messages that my network is disconnected! I will be going back to Spectrum first opportunity, wish we had TDS Fibre at this location. read more

I wouldn't recommend Verizon to anyone. I had them for 3 years and they raked me over the coals when other carriers offer better prices. Before pulling the plug, I ordered another phone with them. 2 phones and an extra line for $125. Ended up, you can get a better deal from spectrum. ($75) I tried to send the phone back but the CS person sent me a return shipping label with my own address. I took it back to a store and they charged me $50 restocking fee. I opened the box. Never used the dam phone. Just because they are a giant doesn't mean you will get better service. Head to the hills. They rip people off. read more

I'm almost done going to office depot on Whitney way. I have gone there for years but some of their personal are less than helpful in some cases. I went in to recently inquire about replacing a plug that had been lost on an up/down computer table. "Well, you'll have to contact the manufacturer..." ok. "Well, maybe I could try Amazon..." was my response. "Well, I don't shop on amazon," came the response. I'm trying to solve a problem store clerk, isn't that your job to try to help customers solve problems or help them find solutions? Couldn't you offer to help me find the manufacturer address so I could contact them? This attitude is unacceptable. It can slide a few times with store personnel at a store you visit regularly, but on a semi-regular basis when visiting the store? I may look around to another customer friendly office supply store to find office supplies and equipment. read more

Update: I have now received the full $1350 rebate after receiving a call from the regional manager. I am pleased that he was able to resolve the issue. I am so disappointed in the lack of accountability I have received from this store and from Verizon in general. We switched from US Cellular in April and Alex said he was taking care of the rebates totaling $1350. He did not. Since then, I have been given the run around by Brad who keeps telling me that he's taking care of their error. I can't even get a call back from the district manager, Joe Lazar. To top it off, the store doesn't even have a phone, so I have to go there if I want to talk to anyone. Great at sales - no service. For a long time, I prepared myself to leave frustrated and with a headache whenever I went to the Verizon store to get a phone upgrade. I have done 2 phone upgrades at this store and both have gone seamlessly and everyone has been very helpful. I've never had to wait either, which is great! My daughter and I stopped by the Verizon store on McKee today to look at the Gizmo kids watches. I had done some research online but wanted to see them in person and ask a few questions. I was promptly greeted at the door and Garth showed me where the watches are. He seemed very knowledgeable about all the features of the watches as well as the app that goes with them. After deciding which one we wanted, Garth was efficient at getting us checked out and the watch activated. I was even happier when he told me that the activation fee was being waived and I qualified for a promotion for a $25 gift card. He even double checked to make sure I wasn't missing out on any discounts through my employer. Overall it was a great experience. The store was clean, inviting, and Garth was extremely helpful at making me feel like I was making a worthwhile purchase. I will definitely make sure to stop here next time I need to upgrade my phone, as I usually just order it online from the Verizon website. read more

Ok I had ordered a phone to the store. I went to pick it up and Brian was great help! However, the store was completely over staffed for a Thursday afternoon. The staff was also very rude, loud and disruptive while setting up my new phone. Yelling about their tacos they had a lunch to one another. Very unprofessional. I will emphasize that Brian was great and helped however you may want to calm down your other staff as they were very distracting. read more

When the Note 20 pen didn't write or erase consistently, I requested and received a replacement pen. When my music and photos started to be corrupted, however, I was much more concerned. The Customer Service staff at the time was great, and I had a replacement Note 20Ultra5G in less than 2 days. Now, however, the replacement is doing the same thing; it is corrupting music files and photos, while the pen only works when it feels like it. Based on my experiences with the Note 7 and the earlier issues with the 20, I expected to receive reasonable service. First, I was told I just had to deal with it or send it in for 1-2 weeks of service-and buy a new phone in the meantime (I missed her name). I then spoke to Hannah in Sales Support via chat and was told they don't do anything with sales, after which she left the chat open but chose not to respond in the 30 minutes before I closed it out. I finally got in touch with Neil, who was incredible. He helped me find a phone that would allow me to do the bare necessities during the service, and we ended the conversation with a receipt showing I owed taxes only. Then I went to the store, Verizon in Fitchburg on McKee Rd. September got everything prepped before slipping in that I would owe 3 times the agreed upon amount. She did give the option of shipping me yet another Note20, in the hopes that it would be magically stop causing corrupted files and have a useable pen. Because I have the insurance, this service is free to me, but I raised the question of how many times they want me to return a $1300 phone for replacement, instead of replacing it with a different (less troublesome) model. Both September and Jasmine stated that I should just keep returning them, as Verizon has no interest in getting customers into functional, reliable phones. I called Customer Service, who told me they didn't do customer service, that was Tech. So I called Tech and spoke to Ryder and, eventually, his supervisor Shalleen. Both agreed that they have no interest or company climate that cares if the customer has malfunctioning phones repeatedly. Both indicated the policy is to replace the phones with the same (problematic)model over and over again. The reason stated was that is was a Samsung issue, not a Verizon issue, but any reputable retail establishment will address the problem, despite who caused it. If you go to The Walking Company and buy ECCOs that fall apart in a month, TWC doesn't say "call ECCO, not our problem"- they replace the shoes with ones that aren't defective. I find the concept of sinking thousands or hundreds of thousands of dollars into trying the same thing expecting a different result to be a self-defeating strategy. I am one person, but the forums are full of others in the same boat- and all are being told either to suck it up or to return the phone for new ones instead of replacing them with a comparably priced phone after the second or third round. This letter, or one similar, will be going to Yelp and other service review sites to ensure no one who bothers to do research buys your defective product. read more

just now I recently needed to upgrade my iPhone 6. I am out of state with an unreliable phone so was forced to visit a store that was unfamiliar to me. Because I am in Madison under some very difficult circumstances, I wanted to make the device transition as smooth as possible.I made an appointment through the Verizon app speaking to a representative to ensure timely assistance at a corporate store. My appointment was made at the store opening time of 11am on Sunday, September 20. I arrived at the store location at 10:55 when I noticed there were other customers waiting outside. I maintained social distancing until the store opened. I entered the store and was ignored. Again, to maintain social distancing, I sat at a bench near the door patiently awaiting service. After about 10 minutes I approached the self-reported manager, Natasha, and stated that I had an appointment at 11 am. She said it didn't matter because I wasn't first in line. I inquired if the other customers had appointments too and she said they did not and that there was no way to know that I had an appointment. I tried to explain the manner in which I had made the appointment. Natasha interrupted me and replied that since the store was just opening she could not know I had an appointment and I needed to leave the store immediately and wait my turn outside. Under normal circumstances I would have taken my business anywhere else, and was frankly considering even switching carriers at this point. However, given that I was somewhat desperate to have a reliable device as quickly as possible, I waited patiently outside for approximately 30 minutes before another associate, Alex, called me in to be helped. Alex served me with respect and courtesy attempting to make up for the disrespect and discourteous way he witnessed me being treated earlier. I was completely prepared knowing exactly which device I wanted and having already checked store stock the night before through customer service on the Verizon app. I had all my passwords handy and was expecting a quick transaction. I wanted to put some money down on the new device as well as trade in my old device. Alex did make two errors but he owned them and was more than apologetic when the errors occurred. First, he dropped my new device as he walked out from the store room. I asked for a different one. I can only hope that he did bring a different device when he returned. He was very apologetic. Second, as he was completing the transaction, he forgot to include my trade in device. Again, he was apologetic and offered to refund and repurchase the device with the trade in. For this to occur he called over another associate. Not only did the other associate reply that it would take too much time, but also said it would be too much trouble. I asked the manager if there was anything she could do to compensate for my loss of time and now credit towards my device. Perhaps discount the $40 activation fee that would have been $20 had I ordered online. (I certainly would've chosen this option had I known I'd have had this rude individual to deal with.) She assured me there was no way to do that in store. I asked if she could maybe discount the accessory I was buying. She replied, "I could LOSE my job for that!" And walked away rudely. When I asked for her card she snapped, "I don't have one!" And left poor Alex standing there as speechless as I was. I was hoping for a smooth device transfer and had planned on doing that in store. I was encouraged to leave and complete that step at home assured that if I had all of my passwords that the process would go smoothly. Alex did offer me his work phone number if I had any problems. I returned to my hotel and followed all the prompts. Both devices continued to "spin" for FOUR HOURS! I now did not have access to either device and was unable to access Alex's number and it was past closing on a Sunday anyway. I finally broke down and called Verizon tech support with a borrowed device. Felicia, in tech support helped me finish set up. Do not go into this store. read more

Tried to upgrade my phone. Walked in. Stood there for a couple minutes until someone said they would be right with me. I noticed at least 7 employees and only 4 customers. We stood waiting for assistance. I can only assume it was the manager as he appeared to look busy. He went outside, he put the plastic molding back on the wall in the corner. Never once attempting to help me. As 3 associates assembled at the front counter I decided it was time to take my business to one of the other 20 stores that sells Verizon phones in the immediate 10 mile radius. I have been in twice to this store this year to do a return. I have had a long wait both times. I was told they can't (or won't) do returns here (even though customer service says they should be). Janelle the GM blames Verizon and their computer system. She said it's been messed up for months. The only way to do returns is to let them ship it back to the warehouse. You then have to wait 2-3 weeks for the warehouse to process it. The first return was handled. The second return was an iPad and an Apple Pencil. I tracked the package and it was received but no refund was issued. I had to call in to get a rep to finally get the refund issued for the iPad but as for the pencil they knew nothing about it. Verizon is looking into it but somehow the pencil didn't get in the package according to the warehouse. Be very leery of this store and especially the GM Janelle. I'm not sure what happened to the pencil I returned to her and why it didn't get in the box, but beware. She and her employees really want to sell and push the upgrades, BUT when it comes to service and issues they come up lacking. 4/20 Update: I did eventually get a refund, but it was applied to my bill instead of my credit card. So in a couple of months I'll eventually be paid off by Verizon. To get this finished though, required additional calls to customer service. read more

We went into Verizon today to talk about upgrading our 5S to 8 plus! We had already done a lot of research, but had many questions still. Laura Gordon assisted us and she is one of the most knowledgeable, patient people with whom we have worked with at Verizon. We used to work with Erin Christianson on E. Wash, and she was great, too, but she is no longer there. We are a little slow when it comes to technology so Laura talked it through it a number of times. Buying new phones is a very expensive task and she helped us figure out what we needed and helped to get the best prices she could. I did take her name and I will be checking to see if she is in the store the next time I have a question. read more

I see that most of the reviews about this store and how it is managed are negative, so my review will not come as a surprise to anyone out there. This past Saturday we upgraded my wife's phone to and iPhone 8 and added a line with another iPhone 8 under the BOGO promotion. We were unsure what phone we wanted for the second line, so explicitly asked if we could use a phone for a few days and exchange for the 8+ or more memory if we needed it. The sales associate told us that we had 14 days to return to the store they would swap out one of the phones if we desired, no questions asked, no costs to us. We determined right away that night that we wanted the second phone to be an 8+, so we didn't even unbox the second phone. We returned to the store 2 days later with an unopened phone to swap with an 8+. They then claimed that there was nothing they could do, and if we wanted to swap that phone we would have to pay for it because the BOGO promotion ended. Their customer service is terrible, the general manager was absolutely no help, and they are completely willing to sacrifice a long term customer instead of standing behind what we were told. We have been a customer for over two years, and were planning to be for at least two more, but will now divorce ourselves from this terribly run business permanently!!! As a side bar, the folks at the AT&T store have been more than willing to help us and are providing much better customer service and honest communication. read more

We walked out and i would like to say how very happy that we went to Best Buy to buy our new galaxy phones AND switch over to verizon. Received excellent service at Best Buy from numerous helpful staff, who made switching phone companies and buying five new phones so effortless!! I guess any more questions we may have in the future and we will be heading over to Best Buy for friendly, helpful staff who enjoy helping their customers. read more

I ordered internet service for my home a this location. Well no one showed up. I took a vacation day from work to be home. I called the store to see what happened, and it seems like no one gives a shit. I'm told "we are extremely busy, I will look into it when I have time, and I will call you". Terrible service!!! Don't ever go there. You might be greeted by the door so you think it's a good place until you actually purchase something and want them to stand by their product! My husband and I have iPhones and the cord shorted out at the plug in point so we couldn't charge our phones. I called and they said it was under the one year warranty and to bring them in and exchange them. When I arrived at the store the manager told me that there was "physical damage" to the cords and that is why they wouldn't exchange them. I told him the cords are handled with care. One cord stays by my bed nightstand and the other by our couch end table. He claimed the end must have gotten pitched and I said that wasn't possible then he said a cat chewed on it however we don't own any pets. Long story short he wouldn't give us new cords. I got home and called the Apple Store and they said they get a lot of people with the same problem with the cords and it's a problem with how they make them. It's the outer casing that buckles. They said they would give us new cords! Thanks apple!! Great customer service too bad Verizon didn't show that kind of service! What harm would it have been to them to exchange the cords that were still under warranty and receive a good review and make customers happy? I guess I won't be going back and we are looking at changing our phone service. I don't want to stay with a company that treats people like that. Good luck to you if you choose to go with them.
