Reed and Phylicia were amazingly good help to my mom and I today. When my mom broke her new phone screen protector it was perfect providence that it happened right outside the Verizon store. Phylicia was able to attend to our needs right away and relieved the fear my mom had about her screen possibly being broken. Phylicia was attentive and professional and made sure we were taken care of when she was pulled away to handle an emergency case with another client. She brought Reed to help us. Reed was terrific - he was like a ball of caffeine rolled in sugar. :) He was good humored and made sure we were taken care of and received full, top-notch service. NOT AN OFFICIAL CORPORATE STORE !!! Wanted to charge me $20 for a defective screen protector. Purchased within 30 days. Plus the lady assisting me had a bad attitude. Called customer service and it turns out it's not an official Verizon store. They directed me to the Modesto store which is an official corporate store. I don't plan on returning to this store. Had issues setting up new phone also. Salesman set up someone else's phone at this store. That custcame into store as he lost his service. The after I left the store the salesman called me and asked for my password? Don't go here. Stay away !!! Day 2: After driving to Modesto they informed me they don't cover 3rd party screen protectors and they don't even sell those screen protectors. Now I'm getting wrong information from the main corporate customer service. So back I go to the original store to speak to manager. Ok. Called main Verizon number back and they advised I would be credited for the screen protector. Yay: But now we still have problems as I never seen credit for the protector on my account. Almost a month later I called back. They informed me that the credit is only the $20 for the installation. So the guy on the phone lied to me. Told me I would get credit for the accessory. That's all fine and dandy but,now it's passed the 30 days in store warranty. Now I'm at the process of returning to manufacturer for a new one. If this gets rejected I'll go back to Victoria Wireless. (Aka Verizon lol)What a damn joke. This keeps up I'll go with a different carrier. Total aggravation!!!! read more

My wife and I went into this store for a scheduled appointment to ask a question about our account. We met with Manuel, and after explaining why we were there, be basically checked out and just kept referring us to call Verizon's customer service. Manuel explained that unless we wanted to buy something, he couldn't do anything to help us with our account. This was fine, but he was pretty rude about it. Once he realized it wasn't a sale, you could see him check out. He slumped his shoulders and stared straight ahead and his voice got all monotone and he just kept repeating "you're going to have to call".. every ounce of customer service disappeared and it was pretty funny to watch. So we go home and call Verizon, who directs us to the store! We go back to the store the next day and sure enough Manuel is there again... he's just as dense. Just as "helpful". We eventually just left and I suggested we go to AT&T and see what they could offer us.. cut our bill in half. New phones. Better customer service. Verizon service is good. Their customer service is trash. Manuel has about as much customer service as a potato. Boo this place. No thumbs up. One star because it was clean inside. read more

One of the worst Verizon's I have been to I was planning on switching my iPhone to a galaxy the galaxy phone was unlocked from xfinity mobile. I get to Verizon girl that was helping had the worst attitude and didn't tell me after charging me a transfer fee and switching my phone that the galaxy didn't work at all. I then had to switch back to my iPhone because this store manager is incompetent and girl working there was lazy. The only person I could say that actually helped was the male associate. I've tried calling store since yesterday, no voicemail, requests for call backs through Verizon unsuccessful, and the store phone rings for 5 mins then hangs up. Poor example of how a store representing Verizon should operate. We went to change to verizon the guy tried to help us but we didn't have our pin to get into our phone so we agreed to come the next day he would hold the phone and he worked 12-9 we came the next day he was not there the guy said he was off ...what. He said their was no phone on hold and argued about the color stating it did not come in that color even though I said the other guy showed us the phone! On Oct 19, 2023 we went to the store to upgrade a phone on my account. The employee did a customer agreement @7:40pm and set it up for device payments. I did not want to pay payments on the device so I asked the representative to fix it and I paid in full for the new device in full. A second agreement was done at 7:50pm. Both agreements for the same new device. The employee said they would delete the first agreement. IT WAS NOT DELETED. I am now being charged device payments for a device I paid for in full. I have called and went to the store numerous times to try to resolve this problem. I have been assured that this problem would be corrected at corporate but it has noT AS I am STILL being charged device payments. I do not understand why it is so hard to get a manager from your store to correct the error that was made or EVEN CALL ME BACK!! read more

It's a very long story about a few morons on the phone help line after the Verizon App wouldn't work for me. I spent 3 hours with 2 different people trying to get me back online with the app. Bottom line is that Verizon is so effed up even the employees couldn't get it to work. I even went to the Verizon store in Manteca and the guy just gave up after trying to set it up for me for about 15 minutes. Looking into going back to my old service. This was supposed to be a simple order and pick up for my convenience, courtesy of online ordering. Had a Verizon rep assist me over the phone on submitting an order for a new line & pick up in store. Prior to making this purchase, the rep confirmed that the store had the phone I wanted in stock at the store. The order was submitted 2 hours before closing. the rep advised that the order should be fulfilled before closing hours. However, if not, then it would be ready the following day, no less since the item is in stock. She clarified that I would receive an email/phone call to notify when the order is be ready for pick up. On 5/8 haven't heard anything yet, I give the store a call around late noon. The rep assisting confirmed that they did not have a status, it would take some time, and was not able to provide an eta for my order. The rep asked that I give the store some more time to fulfill this order bc the store, itself might've been waiting to receive the order as well Again, the rep asks that I wait until the end of the day for the store to circle back to me since it doesn't close until 7pm.. By now I am debating if I should keep my order or cancelling it bc now it's inconvenient for me. Instead, I give them the benefit of doubt, decided to keep my order, and look forward to some kind of update before the store closes.. 8pm - the store is closed & I never get an update. Timeline: Ordered it 5/7 Sunday at 5pm, got the notification for pick up 5/09 Tuesday at 9am, then the order gets cancelled 5/10 Wednesday 9pm bc I was unable to pick it up. For clarification, I chose to order online bc it was convenient for me due to my schedule & availability. I had a Verizon rep assist me with this online order bc I needed the assurance, which was indeed assured. However, this store failed to deliver on its end. The service and communication received from this experience is far below expectations for the standards that Verizon sets and advertises. I have been a customer with Verizon for 6 years & have never experienced such poor service with the company up until this order. I work in customer service. I understand that people make mistakes and sometimes have off days. The employees here have the worst customer service I have ever had the displeasure of experiencing in my life. I was ignored over and over during my SCHEDULED appointment time while the employees were attending other customers and when I was finally attended I was yelled at. Miriam specifically was incredibly rude to me and unhelpful when I spoke with her. I suggest that if you are thinking about switching to Verizon you go to an actual Verizon store, not an 'authorized retailer' like this store. My parents visited this store so that my mom could switch from AT&T to Verizon. Little did they know they would be scammed and lied to in order for the representative, Cindy N. to make a sale. My parents were told that they were getting a phone that was on sale and a free tablet. I spoke to Cindy on the phone as well and she confirmed these specials, making it sound like an amazing deal. I visited my parents this past weekend and reviewed what Cindy had scammed my parents into. A $930 phone (not $500) and a $309 tablet (not free as promised). Instead they financed these large amounts again my parents wishes and lied to do so. So disappointing. I suggest avoiding this location entirely. Very disappointing that not only Cindy lied and completed a fraudulent transaction but this company allows such things to happen. Upon reviewing the BBB rating, this awful company is rated a B- for doing the same thing to many others. Save yourself and your loved ones the frustration. I was trying to get it done online, but kept running into issues, so I called this store and Jose told me I can come in for assistance. Came by in the next 20 minutes and he helped me switch over, grab the new iPhone AND Apple Watch, and also helped me save some money. Jose was a pleasure to work with, he answered all of my questions and made the entire process quick and easy! Fortunately, he was not a pushy sales person , but he did offer me the bundle with the Apple Watch and some accessories. I have been a Verizon Customer for over 10 years, have 6 lines on the account , showed them a picture of my passport. Drivers License. On my iPhone , Verified my account , my credit card had my picture on it, and they would not let me buy and pick up IPhone for Mother's Day, because it had to be physical. I was in need of upgrading my phone and was greeted my Yani would provided excellent customer service and was able to get me a 13 Pro Max with a solid trade in. Fast forward 14 days later, Yani said I was able to get an iPad. This gentleman stayed at work late and worked a deal out for me to get a IPad on a new line working with my existing plan. I really wish there was an option for 0 stars. I ordered an iphone 15 pro max and a Samsung s23 ultra October 8 because the phones are on back order they claim they will call me when the phones get in. I reciever tracking numbers from Verizon through email for both phones clearly the employees don't know that. The iphone ariives october 18th manager lies to me says her district manager cleared the safe and took the phones LIES they never called me to come in for the phones and sold them to someone else when the phones where delivered with signature confirmation. Do yourself a favor and go to any other Verizon store but this store employees only care about a sale don't care about integrity or honesty. You order 2 phones for a customer tell me they will be in at the end of the month they get in before the end of the month and you sell them to someone else without ever telling me they were in the store now you want to order me 2 more phones and make a commission off me no thank you and I'm calling corporate I was scammed by verizon. read more

I switched over to Verizon almost two years ago after being on a family plan with ATT for years.. but I had lived in several houses where ATT wasn't getting service. In January my phone broke and we were on our way to a funeral in the Bay Area so I rushed in early that morning to get a new phone. We let the associate know that we were in a rush because we were on our way to funeral, so obviously were a bit scatter brained. I got my new phone and was on our way. A few weeks had passed and I realized I thought I had bought insurance on my phone, but figured maybe I opted out because it wasn't mentioned as an option when getting my new phone. Some time had passed and about a month ago I was cleaning out a room and found the pamphlet that came with me purchasing the insurance. I called and spoke to the supervisor/manager and told him had I not found the pamphlet confirming I bought insurance, I felt like they would've "got one over" on me. Instead of paying a $200 deductible, we paid almost $1600+ to pay off my old phone and to pay off the new phone. He did mention that the fact we paid off the new phone makes it seem like we needed the new phone right away, where if I would've done an insurance claim I would've had to wait at least a day for a new phone. I said if the option was presented to us and saved me $1400+, I wouldn't have minded waiting. Especially considering my broken phone wasn't even a year old. He told me to give him 4/5 days to speak to his district manager to resolve the matter, it's been over a month and I called to follow up and left a message about two weeks ago and still haven't heard back. One thing I hate is having to take time and make phone calls and chase companies for a resolution. When I called corporate Verizon, they warned me about going to free standing stores and to always try to find actual Verizon retailers instead of privately owned stores because its out of their hands.
