Review - Verizon Store (Fraud Alert) I went into this Verizon store on January 20th because my phone was not working properly. They were unable to fix the issue. While I was there, since my account is a business account, I was asked if I wanted help lowering the cost of my phone lines. I agreed. After leaving, I received my next bill and discovered that 10 additional lines had been added to my account at $72.18 EACH -- with no devices attached, just numbers. It was later confirmed by Verizon's fraud department that these lines were added by this store without my authorization. When I returned to the store to address the issue, the experience was completely unacceptable. The representative I spoke with, Dylan, was extremely rude, dismissive, and unprofessional. While I understand I was upset, his behavior was far beyond what should be expected from anyone in customer service. What's most frustrating is that during my initial visit, they had no problem accessing and working on my account -- yet when I came back to resolve a serious issue they caused, suddenly they "couldn't help." I've now spent hours on the phone with Verizon's fraud department trying to fix a situation that should have never happened. I believe in giving companies the opportunity to make things right -- but between the unauthorized changes to my account and the unacceptable treatment in-store, I felt it was important to share this experience. Product uneducated, inept and lying employees. Non corporate (Martinsburg WV, so I was told) store that its employees are ignorant to and not limited to (uneducated to the products, sales and technical support and aspect of Verizon products). When their employees can't set up a phone after you have paid for it and you question it or their abilities, they ask you to leave therefore setting you up for trespassing if law enforcement was called, they have set you up to be charged. HOW IS THIS POSSIBLE?? I went there in good faith with my phone to have the number transferred. They couldn't so they asked me to return the flowing day. Bottom line Martinsburg employees chased me to Winchester Va to resolve. Liars, no nothing about the product they're selling other than how to punch 10 digits on a keypad. The red-haired mullet haircut person in Martinsburg is a joke of a human being or a person in retail sales. The female in the store on 8/7 who said she would be there on 8/8 is as big a liar as red hair mullet boy. Verizon do better. read more

If I could give ZERO stars I would. The minute I walked in the door there were four young people there with 2 customers. One of them asked me what I was there for. I told him I had recently move mobile service from Verizon Mobile - 25 years of customer loyalty (b/c of poor customer service and rising costs). He walked away and then I stood there for 20 mins waiting. FINALLY the one guy (red hair - rude enough not to even share his name) asked me how he could help. Too long a story to put here but bottom line he told me he could not help me and that I needed to call customer service. Apparently I needed to cancel the extra line associated with my watch (which I had already cancelled back in Sept). I asked him what "phone number" i needed to talk to them about and he said "It's on your bill". I showed him my bill (had paper copy with me) and it was NOT showing. He turned his PC screen to me and said "it's ON YOUR BILL". I asked him to let me write down that number and he said "NO". Please leave. I asked how am I supposed to do what you're asking me when I don't know what the number is. He again said, "PLEASE LEAVE and have fun with T Mobile". (His mother would be mortified!) This morning I spent 30 minutes online waiting for chat agent, once SHE found out I was leaving Verizon, she told me I was connected to the wrong agent and she would transfer me. NEVER came back. Called the customer service line and was on hold for over 30 minutes. I'll be sending in the payment that I know I owe and let THEM chase me for a change. TERRIBLE customer service. read more

I never received the credit for 2 phones when I went into this store. After calls, chats online still not resolved. I have been with Verizon for many years. I am tired of the waiting online, customer service that never seems toms to help me. The on last phone call I was transferred numerous times and finally after 55 minutes was told to visit the store. I asked to speak to a supervisor and placed on hold again. Then they hung up and I got a text saying I would be receiving a call momentarily, it never rang. read more

I rarely write a negative review, but this Verizon store needs to change its ways. I had to upgrade to a new phone so had to go to the local store. The 1st guy was nice, but sold me things I didn't need. (BTW, when they say netflix is free, it must be only for a day because I started getting billed for it right away and it took an hour on chat to get it off my account.) He kept saying he'd give me a discount and he might have, but I ended up spending $200 in accessories including a $35 cable, which wasn't needed.) With grocery prices going sky high, I didn't appreciate loosing this amount, but I guess I was embarrassed to look cheap. I tried to take 2 things back, but a guy was closing and rudely shut the door in my face. I then drove back down a week later and was told that it was 35 days since purchase and they wouldn't take the items. And if it was within the 30 days, they would charge me a restocking fee. (I had earlier returned a sewing machine I bought at Costco a year ago without them blinking.) After the Verizon fiasco, I had to go to Lowes in the same parking lot and mentioned how I was upset with Verizon and that lady said she heard complaints all the time. Moral, nothing is free (Netflix). And don't accept a $50 Zagg case when Zagg sells them for $30. Cable that I wanted to return was $35, but on Ebay it's $6.55. I guess I'll list mine and at least get 6.55 back. read more

The store is always busy so plan on a wait. They don't employ enough people, but that's not the employees fault. However, the employees are very knowledgeable and helpful. read more

I had a screen protector for my camera lens on my phone but recently it fails to stay on. I went into the store today to inquire what to do about it (warranty, replacement, etc) however the sales person looked at it and my phone and said, "Oh, that is just the installation tray and your lenses are protected with the film that was put on through the tray." I questioned him several times saying that I purchased that to protect it and he again said no it's just a tray no need to worry about my lenses. I wasn't convinced but left as they are "supposed to be the experts". Well I looked it up and I'm not the stupid one! They need to hire individuals that know the products and not just look at their phones all day when they don't have customers. read more

So, I went online and signed up for Verizon Service. Since I was bringing over my devices from Sprint I was advised by their chat services to go to the Verizon (Victra) Store and they would assist me, and give me sim cards for my devices. I went there and some dufus with grommet holes in his ears could not have been more useless. His first response (after appearing completely uninterested in his job) was that he would have to charge me for the sim cards which were clearly indicated on line as being free of charge. I reluctantly agreed to pay, so without so much as a grunt from him he walked over to his computer and appeared to be checking something. He eventually walked back over with two sim cards and said here you go, no charge. I asked if he was going to install them and he said he could not because my phone number was not in their system. He said I should go back online and they could help me. When I did Verizon Customer Service said that the store should have started an account for me to begin the process. All that grommet ears would have had to do was look at the paperwork I brought with me (which he ignored) and say, "Okay, your next step is to set up an account here in the store." I wouldn't have known that, but since he apparently works for a Verizon retailer he should have!!! I'll find another store. read more
