This review is primarily for the stores employees Rhylen. My family and I first went to the Mauka store. But due to an unprofessional inconvenience, we came to this store at the town center. When we walked in we were immediately greeted by Rhylen, who informed us that he was currently helping out a customer, and that he would help us after he was done. When it was our turn Rhylen was amazing. He thoroughly explained all of the options in great detail, and helped us get everything that we needed done. My review is specifically for salesperson named William M. He's mentioned in other reviews as the "guy with tattoos". I felt like he was not forthcoming with all the adds on. While I can appreciate he was trying to make a sale, he should have been detailed and upfront with every single item he added on. Obviously there was a misunderstanding, I paid $436 with all the extra he added on. I thought he was making me pay for my normal monthly bill PLUS the screen protector and case with setup fees and taxes. But no, it was all his add ons. He added on a liquid glass protector and a camera lens protector which I never asked for. Long story short, when we went back to confront him and told him he wanted a refund for the things we never asked for--he made like we were the dummies. Started making comments, calling us "crazy". Which is nonsense, because prior to that he accidentally gave his previous customer my new phone he was setting up for me. Guy walked outta the store with the new phones. So the fact that he wanted to comment on my misunderstanding is what's real crazy! Manager named "T" which I'm sure is just her initial gave me a refund. I told her that she could take off the lens protector. I am an honest customer and have been a Verizon customer for 23 years. I didn't want free stuff, I wanted to pay for the things I actually needed. This encounter did not sit well with me and I am now thinking of switching to another carrier. read more

Went to the store this past Monday; March 4th , 2024..... a staff member came up to me & asked how can i help you ! I needed a new SIM Card for my daughters Iphone. He swiftly showed genuineness by making small talk .... We spoke about living in the community in Mililani , etc. That bruddah really was placement & got a new SIM CARD for our Daughters phone . The Team Leader / Manager was assertive in helping out too. Simple , easy & old fashioned....... However, dont pay attention to any negative reviews, as everyone, & every business has a great story . Simple, just respect everyone, be happy ..... dont listen to any negative comments about anything in life .... Instead of being a follower, be a leader , do the opposite...... instead of being mad about anything , do the opposite..... smile , be easy , & tell the staff thank you ...... genuinely say " mahalo " ! Husband went to pay his bill at the Mililani Town Shopping Center store. One worker helping a female customer. Second worker stood around, leaning against the wall. Husband waited and waited and waited, but second worker refused to look at my husband. Finally my husband asked him if he worked there, and the worker said he was on his lunch break, and continued to stand around, doing nothing! My husband ended up walking out! Do not go when local male with beard mustache and tattoos is working. Talked to another customer about martial arts for about 15 minutes while we waited. Do not return calls, fail to respond to Emails. They want your money without helping the consumer, can no longer support a company that puts itself above the consumer. Will find another cellular company that wants to assist its customers and not just take the income from its customers. read more

STOP DO NOT come here timeline February 8th we came into the store just browsing around while waiting for our food... was talked into upgrading 3 of our devices.... Informed of our $800 credit for each phone that we trade in so we placed an order for a Samsung Galaxy S23 ultra and 2 iPhone 14 pros. Never was contacted by the store that our order came in. Stopped by the store February 24 to check on the status and found out our phones were there. Associate brings out the phone and somehow they got our order wrong... ended up with a Samsung Galaxy s23 ultra, 1 iPhone 14 pro, and an iPhone 14 pro MAX which we never ordered the MAX. Was told it's only a few bucks more. REALLY. Are you seriously trying to sell me something we didn't order. So in order to fix the problem we had to add a line to my account to order the correct phone wait and come back to do all 3 phones... So we leave and come back on February 28th. Associate tries to call me but I am unable to answer because I'm working. They left a message which I didn't get to check but also called my husband letting him know the phones came in and they were trying to reach me. So after work then practice we book it to the store... when we arrived there was another customer already being assisted. so we patiently waited until the associate was finished only to be told that they had been having activation issues and that if they activate the phone now it could be a few hours to days that we might not have service and that she had left me a message regarding the activation issues and questioned that I didn't get the message. With my busy schedule and my children and husband speaking to her she never told them there was activation issues so I just assumed the message she left me was the same one they had received when they spoke to her.... Apparently it wasn't. She said we can try come back tomorrow and they should have all the issues worked out by then. So we left... Came back the next day was told they are still having activation issues but we can try to activate our phones, but it might be about two hours up to 26 hours that we might not have service. Associate told us it was a 50-50 chance that our phone wouldn't work. We went ahead anyways and started the process praying that the activation would go through and service would continue as normal. Only after to be told while we started the process that we would be charged $30 per phone for a set up fee a little puzzled and unaware of the charges I questioned the set up fee which was I was informed that they said the fee is different than the activation fee. Now I'm upset about being deceived. But too late because he already started the process and I was being charged extra for something that I did not need/ ended up doing on my own. The kicker.... Mind you we get home and our Samsung galaxy S 23 ultra was not even set up properly. we ended up having to download all the apps that we previously had on our phones. So I was charged a set up fee for service that was not meeting my expectations. We were told prior to leaving that the phone is organizing and it should finish downloading all the apps. I originally visited the store on October 5th to find out what my upgrade options were. My iPhone was starting to act up a lot (I had a 6). Evan was extremely helpful and explained the options I had. Unfortunately, they didn't have an iPhone 8 in stock at the time. Not surprising with it being a rather new release. Evan special ordered it for me and let me know he would call as soon as he had it. He even signed me up for text and email alerts. I received updates until my phone arrived in Hawaii. I returned to the store on October 10th after receiving a call from Evan that my phone had arrived. Perfect timing since I had just finished work. I was able to run home, back up my old phone, and head over to the store. Evan helped me set up everything and the data transfer went smoothly. I was able to purchase a case and some wireless headphones along with the phone. I actually received a recommendation from Evan for the case and earphones. They're working out great! After everything was set up, I was happy and left. I ended up forgetting all my items except my phone! You could say I was distracted. Evan ended up running to find me, called, and let me know I forgot my items. Talk about great customer service! I headed back to the store and picked up everything. So, overall a wonderful experience. Getting a new phone used to be such a pain! Not anymore! read more

Terrible. 1 employee working, which was fine, it was a slow Thursday evening. Said employee was already helping a family when I got there. I walked in, employee didn't look up, didn't say 'Hi', absolutely no acknowledgement. I could tell it was going to take a while as he appeared to be selling the family a phone, so I went to sit down. I sat there for 20 minutes waiting and got no acknowledge at all. Not even a quick, 'I'll be right with you.' I told myself that if this kid says anything to me, I'll stay, but he didn't. So I left. I'm all about customer service, but I can appreciate, and be patient during times when businesses are short-staffed. I refuse to give this kid the commission he would've gotten from the expensive phone I was going to buy and I refuse to give my business to this location where it appears this is an ongoing problem. read more

So so so incredibly disappointed...this is why people hate to deal w cell phone places...and I hadn't had this type of experience w Verizon until now...granted, this place is a retailer, not a corporate store, so buyer beware. The way it was explained... I would change my plan from a limited plan to an unlimited plan, get a free tablet, and pay virtually the same amount for my bill (I think it was going to be like $10 more per month...but very close) except for the cost of the new phone, which could add about $40/more to my bill The way it happened... They added a new line for the tablet (they didn't bother telling me they could have just put the new tablet on the old line) that cost me a $40 activation fee (this fee was disclosed, but the fact that I could have avoided the fee wasn't), they terminated a corporate discount they said wasn't there anyway (which was) that cost me about 20% more on my bill now that I don't have it, there was another $40 activation fee for the phone they didn't tell me about, and another fee of about $40 for something else related to the phone they didnt tell me about, and by the end of the fiasco, my phone bill for the month, which ended on the 16th (everything was taken care of on the 11th) was an extra $180...from $180 to $360...wth, right? So I called into Verizon customer service and found out that my new base bill was actually $50/mo HIGHER w the new plan (factor in the corporate un-discount I was not getting, and all the other junk) that I DIDN'T EVEN NEED, and that I was still being charged for the old tablet line because he hadnt taken it off the line as I was told he would do. He also said he would call me to make sure everything went well, and now almost 2 weeks later, that hasn't happened either. So much for the Aloha Spirit, and if you run across this place, or the manager BRANDON that promised me heaven and put me through hell (I think there is a song about that), think twice...or maybe three times...about doing business with them... Downloaded Yelp just for this NEVER SHOP HERE!! Go to the actual Corporate Verizon store in Pearl City. Came in to upgrade my phone to the new Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra, the sales associate said with my trade in that there was a promo deal to receive a watch and a tablet with the phone. I told him I didn't need either he kept saying they came with the new phone. I asked if I would be paying for these devices and he said no, so I accepted the offer. What he didn't tell me at all was that both of these devices opened new plans on my account, yes the device itself is promo but he didn't say anything about the plans when I asked if anything would be added to my bill. I brought the devices in and he said if I wanted to return them I would have to buy the devices in full, $200 and $400 devices that aren't even Opened!!! I talked to Verizon corporate on the phone and at the corporate store. Both said that the manager at the Mililani store is the only person that can help me out and he should be able to. The store refused to help me even when I said this would cause me to leave Verizon. The Pearl City corporate store also said that they receive people all the time that have been misled or scammed by the Mililani store, so never ever shop there. Myself and everyone on my family plan will now be switching back to our previous phone carrier. This scam was too much for me. Also reporting this store to corporate. read more

Bad customer service. I'd rate it 0 stars, but can't. Funny how the person who is an "assistant manager" has that type of tone when talking to customers. Called the store for assistance and was told he'd call back because he was "really busy". No call was received after an hour so we decided to call back and no answer. Since there was no answer, we drive to the store and it's not busy (just one person in the store). He might've been the only one on the floor maybe but still, don't say you're going to call back if you're not. Did an online order and arranged store pick up & order was not ready when we got to the store. We waited a day and turns out they cancelled our order for not picking it up within 72 hours!.... Last time I checked, 72 hours was 3 days lol. & we were just there. We were not notified it was ready or anything.. & now basically we was left with no phone and also without $100+ due to the processing time of the credit. I work in retail so I get technical problems can happen which is out of control of the sales person working, but the guy didn't really seem sympathetic and was very rude. He kept trying to talk over us and didn't really seem to care about our problem. My advice, take your business elsewhere. :-) read more

BUT he also upsold my wife and I $400 worth of stuff, all of it available for less elsewhere and much we did not need, without making clear these were additional costs separate from getting new phones. It's not that he outright lied. But he made it seem like the accessories were part of Verizon's phone promotion, and even when I said I was confused, he did not clarify that instead these were separate items I was being charged hundreds more for. Not until I got home and looked at the receipt did I see what had happened. Nice enough, for sure, and he was helpful when dealing with Verizon. But not straight-up about the stuff HE was selling.
