We switched because this store manager Gabino and rep Josh promised us no fewer than 3 separate times that our lines would be $25/line for 2 years. Go into another store a week later and told, no, they are $40/line. Call Gambino DIRECTLY and are assured, it just hasn't settled yet. It will be $25/line. Fast forward to yesterday when all of our service was cut off for non payment of a $400 bill!? Liars. Thieves. Gambino and Josh are just that. Lied to make a sale and now I'm on the line for it. Try calling that store! I dare you! it's an 800 number and you cannot get anyone on the phone and conveniently, Gambino is out on vacation. So I'm left now to write a bad review for them wherever I can. Now I have had to spend hours of my time talking with incompetents on the phone who weren't there originally so cannot help anyway. i got there and was waiting to be checked in, 20min goes by and two more people come in and he checks those people in, and then proceeds to check me an even though I had already been waiting there... and of course those people got help before me? then once I finally was able to meet with someone, he was not helpful, he wasn't good at explaining the trade-in deal that was going on. I think he told me miss information because i knew someone that did the same trade in deal and it was different from what he told me. And he gave me wrong numbers $$$ for the trade in, leaving me confused and having to go to a different store the following day. horrible experience and walked away with nothing, no new devices. read more

My mom and I went today to get new iPhones. We worked with Gregory and he was fantastic. He explained how there are deals at certain times of the year and while it was totally up to us, it was not the optimal time to get brand new phones if ours were still working. He helped me file a claim for my iphone over the phone with Asurion for the broken camera I had (I pay for insurance on it) and my new phone arrived at my house tonight and the Asurion person who brought it set it up for me as well. He was also really great. Gregory was kind and honest and explained things in a very non-condescending way that we could follow. I am a millennial- but cannot pretend to know everything about the world of new phones. We will definitely be back (to hopefully see him) when its the right time to get the best deal. Another shitty experience at this Verizon location, but what else would I expect. It has been about a year since I needed to stick my head in here. It looks a lot better (think Apple store), but they still deliver the same uneven, lets do our best to not meet the needs of the customer. I should have known better, but it was an emergency. I even broke a couple of my rules (never go on the weekend and at all costs avoid holidays). My son's phone went dead so I was looking for options on how to upgrade and get him a new phone. He is in FL and I'm in MN so going in together wasn't an option. I laid all of this very simple issue out...and then they put me in their dreaded que...No expected wait time. Just go take a seat and we will let you know when we are ready for you. After 45 minutes I left. I went home and used the online chat feature. I fixed the issue in less than a minute. All I needed to do was to assign my son as an account manager to my account, thus giving him the ability to walk into his local store to upgrade his device. The check-in dude could have told me this, but then they would have lost my sale on a new $1000 device. They would rather me purchase it at their store, take more time to activate the phone and of course fedex myself to Florida. Nothing like putting the customer first. Serioulsly, avoid this location at all costs. They have too many other locations and the service and hassle here isn't worth it. read more

I got the worst customer service at the this store in Minnetonka... I bought a pair of apple headset last month for $250 . Im having issues with it wich is cover under normal warranty. I have talked sales guy named Ben who was very rude and didn't want to help at and listen. ... the. I requested to speak to a manager. Paul the manger who also to refused to help told me to go to apple store wich false negative. Two weeks ago best but was offering an upgrade program that I ended up not being eligible for and they forgot to reverse my upgrade. Today I went to the Verizon store, where I waited for 40 minutes and the sales clerk Brian G. pulled up my account and said you're not eligible. We tried to explain the back story, to where his response to me was "This is what it shows in our system, what do you want me to do?" Well common sense would be to resolve the problem rather than display your awful customer service! The manager tried to help, but ultimately sent me back to Best Buy to resolve this issue. Verizon your customer service sucks, your employees are rude and your so understaffed I don't know how this location stays in business. This is one of those reviews where I wish there was half stars... Everyone 'needs' a cell phone. Everyone has their preferred provider. This review will be of the store only, not Verizon as a provider. Lets start off with 0 Stars: +1 for free parking and great location +1 for looks, its clean and pretty darn attractive inside +1 for fancy check-in on tablets and a screen showing your place in line +1.5 for no pressure by the associates (unlike premium retailers) -1 for loooooonnnnnggg wait times -1 for having to dink around telling 534,212 people why you are there +1 for super informative staff, giving you more info without asking Overall this is the only corporate store in my area, so it will always be the store I go to from now on (after learning that retailers charge you hidden fees). I went to Verizon to buy a new phone since mine was fairly old. The gentleman helping me was more focused on me upgrading anything I can upgrade and buying an obscene amount of accessories. I continued to respectfully decline, then a minute later the manager came over and tried to talk me in to buying $180 ear buds. It was just completely overwhelming and not anything I needed. My mother in law needed a new phone since hers died a couple of weeks ago. Since she is on our family plan, I went with her to get her what she needed. I also had my two children with me. The "solutions specialist" who was assigned to help us seemed to think that we were just women and didn't need to be bothered with any details like camera resolution, memory options or ability to remove the battery on the phones he was showing us. Price was the only factor he repeatedly pointed out and even took it upon himself to decide that "this phone will be plenty for you (my MIL)". Once we selected the phone she wanted, he brought the box to the table and tried to sell us overpriced accessories. He was surprised when I said she didn't need any of them. My MIL wanted to open the box to look at the phone, which was apparently not possible "until the phone is purchased." However, even after we signed all the paperwork (which we did not get a copy of!), we were left with an unopened box and a very quick goodbye. No bag, no printed paperwork, no help in setting up the phone, no help in even opening the box to make sure all components were there. We asked another guy at the store to help us open the box before we left, just to make sure it actually contained the phone we wanted. That guy thought it was funny we even questioned the unopened box. This was not our first time at this store, and we have had great customer service there years ago, when they spent time setting up our phones to make sure everything transferred and we were up and running when we left the store. I used to be pretty happy with my Verizon phone until I went to this store. The rep tried to sell me everything in the store offering $100 credit on my old phone and this new great plan that was gonna save me money. In the end I recieved only $15 for my phone after they couldn't get the refund to work in the store and I have recieved 2 bills that are totally wrong and about $40 more than my last plan. I was charged twice for the same period and for the wrong amount of data. I hated this store, customer service and my new plan. I am gonna start looking for another provider. read more

Worst. Store. Ever. If you're looking to get treated poorly by disinterested hipsters, this is the place for you. I went in to trade an unused phone for a different model on a corporate account. By the way they treated me, you'd think it was top secret CIA level uranium deal with a terrorist organization. I gave them the phone and paperwork, and said, 'I just opened the account a few days ago'. They ask for an ID and then tell me I'm not an authorized user on the account. 'Impossible', I say. 'I set up the account by myself. We're a very small company and I'm the only person that does this job'. I ask, 'If not me, then who IS listed on the account?' They say they can't tell me as I do not pass their security clearance test. They ask who else is an authorized user and I give them my IT Manager's name. They say he can give me permission to access my own account and they'll send him an email while we wait. My IT Manager isn't in the office today, so I say I'll call him at home. I explain the mess to my co-worker and ask him to check his email. The store reps wander off. I wait. Nothing happens. A few minutes later I go find one of the reps hiding in the back office and ask what's going on. He rudely tells me he's working on it. I say not to bother, take his name (Jeff the Solutions Manager) and leave. I call my Verizon TeleSales Rep and she confirms I am listed as the account holder. Then, it dawns on us! My account was set up with my nickname and my ID has my real name (same last name, very similar first names, of course), and Jeff the Solutions Manager simply could not be bothered to make the obvious connection. I wonder if his name is just 'Jeff' or 'Jeffrey'? We may never know. read more

My 5 star experience started at the front door when one of the employees (Brandon) opened the door for me and I worked with him until I left (in record time). I was in and out in 30 minutes! When I brought this to the attention of the blonde saleswoman I was waiting for, who had just walked RIGHT BY ME to help people who had just entered the store, she did not even apologize! I switched from AT&T back to Verizon after many years. My mom and I went together to put me on her plan. We waited maybe 10 minutes, which is what was quoted to me upon my arrival. We were helped by Ben Weldon, who was excellent. He presented every deal and promotion as his job requires, but he accepted when we said no and proceeded to the next thing he suggested. Ultimately he got us a great plan, I walked out happy with the phone I got, the bundled accessories that I needed, and did not feel taken advantage of. I really actually understand all fees and bills coming my way next statement. Ben was understanding, very knowledgeable, and had an excellent customer service persona. read more

Don't think that those commercials are telling the truth about the the largest 4g network in the country. I had purchased a tablet for my father in law that lives in Northern Minnesota. We got a good deal on the actual devise but no service where he lives. I asked the sales person what type of coverage they have in the northern part of the State and he said that it would work great ! Its totally my own fault for believing him and all of those commercials I see on TV. I have spoken with about four different people over the phone most were nice but one person kept telling its a Mobile device and he can take it down the road to use it. I purchased it for him to use in his house. You don't go down the road to make a phone call do you ? They wont let us out of the two year contract and the whole experience is a pain. I just wanted to share the ability to stay close with are loved and have him have to tools of the Internet at his disposal. Hi hear that if you live in the Northern part of the State At&t might be a better carrier. And my so called Backup Assistant is not working--it is empty even though I spent over an hour setting this up several months ago. It is a joke. Assistant Manager Troy Larson is has zero customer service skills--no empathy and no authority to credit my account more than $10. I wrote a review on this store last month, but it seems to have disappeared into the section of reviews that are NOT recommended, which isn't even accessible for people to read on the yelp mobile app...so I'm back to reiterate how terrible the service I experienced at this store was. The manager (he's in his late 20's-early 30's and has braces) was very rude to me when I came in with an issue. Not only did he not apologize or reimburse me for the defective screen protector I purchased at his store, but he was condescending about it and even smirked at me. Some Verizon customer service representative sent me an apology on here to make themselves look better on yelp, but ignored my response and request for some form of reimbursement for my time and money. It's funny how much money Verizon can put into advertising or having extra salespeople at their stores when they care so little about their customers once they reel them in. So if anyone is thinking of switching to Verizon, DON'T. It's a rip off. If my family weren't on my plan, I would have switched to another carrier by now after this horrible experience I received. I will be telling my family not to get anymore upgrades so we can get off of Verizon as soon as possible. I've been a loyal customer for at least seven years and am disgusted by how I was treated. I came to this store on New Years Eve to get an upgrade for my phone. The salesperson was helpful in upgrading me to the iPhone 5S, and also assisted me with selecting a case and a screen protector. He convinced me to go with the more expensive screen protector that cost $25, but assured me in would prevent my phone screen from shattering if I were to drop my phone. Well unfortunately earlier this week, I was making a phone call as I was getting out of my car when I slipped slightly on the ice, dropping my phone. When I picked it up, the screen appeared shattered. When I removed the screen protector, I saw that my screen was very much shattered. On Monday night, I went into this Verizon store to see what my options were. I thought that since I purchased the phone at this store, they would be happy to assist me. The man who spoke with me had spikey brown hair and braces and appeared to be in his late 20's to early 30's. I explained my story and told him I was upset since I was told this more expensive screen protector would protect my screen and it didn't. He told me that four people had came in today with the same issue, but their phones were just fine after taking the screen protector off. I told him that was absolutely lovely for them, but my phone was not just fine. He told me that I could go through Asurion or down the street to a place that repairs phone screens. I asked if there was anything he could do for me, and he smirked and told me that he could sell me a new iPhone 5S for $550 dollars. I asked if he could at least give me a new screen protector, since the one sold to me at this store was defective and I've been a Verizon customer for seven years. He snarkily replied, "No, I have to sell all of those." I asked if there was someone else I could speak with, and he informed me he was the manager. I left, astonished that the manager of the store was not only so rude, but refused to do anything to remedy the situation. read more

Verizon can't get their twisted billing logic and bait and switch pricing tactics out of the 80's. Like dealing with the old AT&T... right down to a total inability even to simply call the store. I actually have to go into the store and talk to the guy who told me I wouldn't be paying any more than (x) per month (now paying "x" + $40... only 4 months into a 24 mo. contract). My only recourse is to physically go there; get him at a table in the store; and we both call Verizon billing and have him hash out with them why the extra $40 (because he says their math is wrong and they say his is wrong... but of course, I'm forced to pay the higher number THEY bill me). To save myself a potential waste of a trip, I'm trying to call the store to at least verify he's working. NOPE! The store doesn't even have a phone of their own. All calls get funneled to the black hole of the automated message tree at corporate. THAT'S the exclamation point on one of the worst customer experiences on the planet. Their new location seems much more spacious than their old one (although I never visited the old one--just drove by). With that space, they seem to be able to fully serve any customer that walks in. Today when we arrived, we were greeted right away and whisked off to be helped by a sassy sales person with a quick wit. It made the experience a little more entertaining, so that was nice. We came in to get a new battery for one of our phones that is still under warranty. There was no problem in getting a new battery, and the girl who helped us actually offered to provide us with a new phone as well since she saw our one year warranty was about to expire (thinking perhaps the phone could be causing the charging problem instead of the battery). We considered it, but after finding out that the phone we would be provided with wouldn't necessarily be "brand new", but possibly refurbished, we decided against it. It would not have extended our warranty, so we thought we'd see if the battery makes a difference, and if any problems continue we can go back before our year is up. All in all, good customer service--not above and beyond what I would expect, which is why I gave only 4 stars read more

Service is a joke - sales rep, if you want to call her that was rather arrogant in answering my questions.and refused to transfer my data to the new phone. Said you can do that at home ...it's magic and easy to do. Told her that's a bad sign....so I insisted on her transferring it. And yes she had trouble transferring my contacts!!! I have to say I just had a wonderful experience at this store. The manager, Scott, immediately greeted me and told me it was going to be a long wait so If I wanted to do errands and come back in 45 minutes I shouldn't have to wait. I came back and Scott greeted me with "perfect timing" and immediately introduced me to Lucas who could help me. Lucas was great! He gave me an upgrade one month before I was due, set me up & gave me his card so I could call and make an appointment with him in the future so I wouldn't have to wait! read more

Won't be going back to this branch. I've never had a problem with Verizon customer service or anyone I've ever dealt with at other Verizon stores until now. I knew which phone I wanted to upgrade to, it was an easy transaction. Brian G was helping me. He was pleasant at first, but once I told him I did not need any cases or accessories as I had already purchased them from another source, he got visibly irritated and became short with me for the rest of the transaction. It was really very rude, I understand sales, they want to add on everything there and make more money, but I physically already had a case and other accessories. Clearly I did not need them. From there he basically handed me my phone and said okay it will be up in a few minutes you can leave now. Usually I would want to stay and wait to make sure everything came up properly, but I was really wanting to get out of there. Shortly after I left, I realized I had not been offered a receipt at all for my transaction. Not wanting to go back to the store, I decided I would call the next day. The next morning I called over a period of 2 hours before I finally got someone in the store to pick up the phone. 2 hours? Really? Finally got the receipt emailed to me but still.
