Barely helpful with my new iPhone purchase and so unfriendly. There were 3 people working there that day all sitting at separate tables staring at their phones, it was so weird. The guy who helped me did the least work possible. I asked him questions, tried to make conversation but he had no personality for sales, that's for sure. I purchased a Galaxy watch about a year ago and it never worked from the get-go and I kept getting passed around for about a year. FINALLY, Samsung recognized that it was defective and issued me a refund because they didn't have any to send a replacement. I attempted to cancel my cellular line on that watch because I no longer have it. They told me if I wanted to cancel it I needed to buy my watch out (I wasn't aware it was even on a contract) for more than I even originally paid for it because I bought it on a promo. Even though the watch was defective and still under warranty and I no longer have it they are still requiring me to pay full price for my watch (which is more than I originally bout it for). If I buy out my watch I will lose all of my refund that I received from Samsung so ultimately I am not receiving a refund at all. I am very frustrated that I purchased a defective watch that was still under warranty and I still have to pay full price unless I want to keep paying cellular for a product I don't even have. I would not recommend AT&T this is not the first bad experience I have had with them and I do plan on changing carriers. read more

Ryan is a sleezy salesman; sold my wife a deal without actually applying to our account and now we are acrewed our $800. Not only that, but when we went back into the Minnetonka store, he said he didn't do anything wrong. Brought the situation to the Maple Grove location and they found the error, saying YES, WE WERE SCREWED OUT OF $800. Everyone at the Minnetonka location is rude and unmotivated. If I could give this store zero stars I would, very rude employees, clearly didn't wanna work and made all kinds of mistakes, very unapologetic about it and couldn't have been a worst experience. Whitney and Josh were so helpful. I came in to figure out what plan I needed for my 5-line family plan, since we kept running out of data on our 30 gig shared plan, and they did everything in their power to find the best fit for me. They were really able to crunch the numbers and make comparisons quickly and easily. I made an appointment online, and they even got to me early. I highly recommend making an appointment so that you don't inadvertently come in at a busy time and have to wait. It appears that because of Whitney and Josh, my family plan will stay at AT&T for the foreseeable future. read more

If your a Sr. citizen don't waste your time going there my new Samsung s6 phone died after one year. They told me I would have to pay off the remaining $300.00 I had owing on the phone before I could get a new one!! That was the only option they had, BS!! They failed to tell me I could contact Samsung directly, which I did and it is not going to cost me a thing. The experience I am having with AT&T is a nightmare. I am trying to change from AT&T to Verizon. AT&T can't or won't unlock my phone from their system. The numerous calls, emails, and visits to the store have netted : It's not our fault, we don't know what's wrong, it's your problem not ours. I have noted the numerous other complaints from former AT&T users regarding their horrendous record and inability to perform a simple unlock. I can only surmise that it is corporate policy to make it so difficult to change to another service, that we are supposed to give up in frustration. I have had no phone for 7 days now because of their incompetence. I have spoken numerous times to Verizon to see if the problem is on their end. Every step of the process was combed through for errors; NONE All other phones changed at that same time were unlocked in moments. If you are looking for a provider, do not go with AT&T. They will hold you hostage! read more

On June 10, I was attending a festival in Golden Valley, MN, where an AT&T booth was set up from the Minnetonka, MN store. The rep chatted with me about the Magic Mount Power Bank charger. He busted my port on my phone! I did not know this until I was home and went to charge it from the day. I am no longer able to put a cord into my phone or to plug it into my laptop to transfer photos! On June 17, I went to the St. Louis Park, MN store and explained my issue. The rep told me he was not a corporate store and could not help me, but confirmed it was indeed broken. He sold me a Samsung Power Bundle for $40 for I could charge it that way until my phone was fixed. On June 16, I called AT&T and explained my issue. They said I should go to any corporate store and have them confirm that it was broken. They directed me to the Crystal, MN store, who said they were not a corporate store and sent me to Maple Grove, MN. I went there that same day and was helped by a rep, who checked out the phone, spent time on the phone with corporate and even called the Minnetonka store and asked them to call me direct. They finally called me back 6/21. I spoke with the store manager, who said he would do nothing for me, because his employee said he did not break it and I can not prove it! I am beyond upset. read more

My phone crashed. When I arrived, I told the staff person and the manager that I was completely stressed out because my phone died and I had all of my work and personal info on it. Instead of just trying to help me, they pushed every possible way to get me to buy more products. I said I just wanted my phone to work and wasn't interested in other items right then. The manager then asked me if I had Direct tv. I asked what that had to do with my broken phone. He said he was just trying to save me money. I said again that I was not interested in anything but dealing with this very stressful situation with my phone. He and the staff person kept on at me about switching my cable etc. over to Direct tv/at&t. I must have told them half a dozen times that I was completely stressed about about my phone and the possibly lost data and that I did NOT want to deal with any other issues. They wouldn't let it drop. He even picked up his phone and asked who my cable company was so he could call them and find out what my current plan was. It felt like a bunch of vultures circling a carcass. To make matters worse, they told me my phone was completely fried and I needed to order a replacement. Later, I found out that my phone was actually just fine...it simply needed keys pressed in a certain order to get it turned back on. A friend with a similar phone fixed it in 2 minutes (and there is a youtube video about how to reset this phone). So they either lied about my phone being fried (or were completely incompetent in not knowing how to reset it) and they ignored my plight to harass me about buying direct tv service etc through them. I'm going to look into getting away from at&t altogether after this experience. read more
