That said, I went to Vitec Solutions regarding a issue with my laptop not charging unless I constantly pushed the plug into my computer's charging outlet. I paid the Diagnostic fee of $35. A few days later, they tell me they need to replace the SystemBoard and the A/C Adaptor at ~$280 and ~$30 each with labor at ~$60. Plus tax, everything would have been ~$375 (diagnostic fee subtracted from the total). I said no and took my laptop back. When I took my laptop back, I wasn't able to use my keyboard or touchpad. I had to borrow a friend's wireless mouse in order to navigate to the settings that allowed me to enable my keyboard and touchpad. I check out a locally owned store later and ask them for a quote on the issue. They come back and tell me they can easily fix it and they did for $75 with half of that going into inspecting the problem. No replacement parts or anything and they told me exactly what was wrong. It turned out to be a connection problem that could easily be fixed. Overall, I would've been out $300 if I went with Vitec Solutions and they still caused me quite a bit of a headache.

It said to replace my printer cartridge, because it was leaking. After I did this, my printer didn't work. Office Max couldn't help me at all. I went to Best Buy - and they do not fix printers, but told me that mine was toast and tried to sell me a new printer. My printer is a color laser printer that is barely 2 years old. I looked online and found BA Printer Service, and the owner, Bob, knew right away what the problem was. Hp does automatic updates and when I changed my blue ink, it updated the machine and kicked out my 3rd party ink cartridges that I had in there. All I needed were new hp brand printer cartridges and I'd be ready to go! Best Buy's Geek Squad WERE USELESS! But, Bob knew immediately! I bought new hp brand printer cartridges, and my machine is like new! Also, Bob is the nicest guy you could ever meet. I wish him continued success in his business and glad he's there for our community. He did!'t even charge me for his brilliant diagnostics! The worst part of the deal is; is that the technicians knew that the screens sucked from previous complaints. They advised me that it was the only iPhone 7 screen they had left and that's why they installed it. Anyway to make my rant longer they agreed to replace my screen with a better quality screen once they are in stock which is fine except for the fact that I have to take time out of my busy day to do it. Communication is key in all service based businesses. Could have saved everyone time and money, honext time. So, I went back this morning to have the screen replaced as previously stated and everything went great. They made good on their promise and then some. They replaced my screen and threw in a complimentary screen protector and discounted my previous bill. Accordingly, I'm updating my stars to 4.5 as the overall experience was very professional and fast. At the end of the day I will use their services in the future; any business can have an imperfect day as long as they implement real time corrections to the customer as was done here.
