They were great at setting up out internet account, even though we don't use them for cell service. But we were never provided with an account number which the web site requires to pay the monthly bill. I've had to go to the office and pay it in person, which is highly inconvenient. When I asked for the account number at my last payment, I was told I could get it on the web site, but I can't do that without having their cell service. I'll go to a different store to see if they can help me. read more

Worst new phone experience I recall, details below. In short, employee included add-on fees to my account after verbal request on my part to not do so, as well as potential loss of trade-in credit on part of Verizon's poor support logging. I never want to leave a bad review and am generally happy with any shop I go to (check past review history) but my experience here has been causing issues the last two weeks. I stopped in to this location about 2 weeks ago to purchase a new phone, with the current trade-in deal to get $800 off the price of an iPhone 13. It was a Saturday, so we checked in and came back an hour later as requested. The employee assisting us was in and out, but did get the requested phone in preferred color plus a verified box to ship my old phone in for trade in. I had requested no additional services to be added to my plan, which they noted verbally. After I got home and started going through all receipts/new emails, I saw that I had been subscribed to an extra monthly fee. No problem, I went into another store the next weekend to confirm it was off the account. I also wiped and sent in the old phone for trade in credit using preferred box. Should be no issue, item was received and sent through UPS as requested, with delivery notification provided by UPS. However, I have been working with support over email to get Verizon to confirm that they have received the phone. Each time they say they have, I get texts that they are still awaiting the device and have not even registered it has shipped yet. This is mainly an issue because it is now two weeks since purchase, the deadline the employee gave me trade in the phone. Overall, it was a very rushed experience and I am still working through the issues of trade-in and add-on fees with Verizon. I am disappointed with how this process is being handled, given that I only got the new phone for the deal, and would have been happy to continue using the old phone for at least another 6-12 months or so, for no cost, as opposed to the $800 three-year spread cost I may be stuck with. A lot of hassle for a deal that Verizon seems to be actively trying to avoid. As a Verizon customer since my first device in 2006, I am honestly considering switching if we don't work this out. read more

I walk in at 1:30 and Mike the manager spends 2 minutes telling me how he can't help me after I tell him the issue with my phone. He proceeds to tell me at 1:32 that he has a 1: 30 appt so he can't see me until 2:15. I say how about 1:45? No... I have a 1:45 too. Meanwhile there are 3 employees here and it's 1:55 now and I've yet to see a customer walk in. I am finally addressed by an employee at approx. 1:55 who in the end says he doesn't have a replacement phone in stock. Can you ship one from a nearby location to this store, I ask? We can but it will take so long to get here. So now I have to drive out of my way because this location and employees do not go out of their way to assist a 10+ Verizon customer. read more

I had an appointment on 12/17 at 11 am. I needed assistance with setting up my new cell phone, which I purchased from Verizon online. There were only a couple customers in the store at that time. There was nothing said about a fee for this service from customer service online. First thing the employee said to me when I told him why I was there, was that there was a $30 fee and he could give me instructions to do it myself. If I felt I could do it myself, I would not have been there. I was told by employee, then manager, that it takes time to do this and they have to charge people because it will take time away from helping other customers. BS Ultimately, after not being able to guarantee my 'stuff' would all transfer over to the new phone (also android), I left disgusted at their policies and placating treatment. Went to Greentree Road Verizon authorized seller, and had a great experience at NO charge. I will never step foot in the Settler's Ridge Verizon again. read more

Scam artist. I've been a customer for many years but it just seems these guys are the masters of the hidden charge!!! The prices they advertise sound low but never end up being right in the end. Wowsers. I went here to buy a new phone about a week before Christmas. One other customer in the store. One sales guy on the floor. The sales associate wasn't personable at all and possessed an air of cockiness. I can get past this and it wouldn't prompt me to write a review. BUT.... after leaving, I was pretty offended over the whole lackluster transaction. There was nothing about my conversation with the associate that was friendly or positive. It was very strange. I was called a FOOL for turning down the protection plan and he implied that my 14 month old son would break my phone. I was given the phone in a bag and asked to pay the total. Now I don't like small talk and useless banter either, but I felt like this guy just did not care for me and wanted me out of the store ASAP after paying the deposit for the phone. I seriously don't know what I did to warrant his attitude. He never told me what my monthly bill would be, if it would change at all. The phone was never opened but I assumed there was a chance it was activated. When I went home and checked my account, it showed the new phone. It wasn't until I visited the Verizon on McKnight Rd that I learned there is a waiting period for activation (for more on that, read my review on the McKnight location- quite a 180 and they put Settlers Ridge Verizon to shame). So shame on Settlers Ridge Verizon. Maybe this guy was just way off his game but he represented their business poorly. All the fun of buying a new phone got sucked out here. More like the cliche, slick used car salesman than anything. I Just don't care to ever set foot in there again. McKnight Rd Verizon is my new stop. read more

I just had the worst experience of my life with Verizon. You know they are bad because they are Verizon, but this was worse. I talked to customer service on the phone first. They advised me to run by and I would be in and out. I run by and Beverly, who is unhelpful and rude, starts asking a million questions. Well, first, customer service said that wouldn't happen. I have my kids in tow and don't have want to spend an hour doing this. Second, it has this sleazy used car salesperson feel like she is trying to worm in on a commission or something. I highly recommend you go to the Verizon store in the mall if possible. I will never go back to this store. read more

Kurt is the best! Infact I have NEVER had a bad experience at this location. Many times they have had to fix and/or address misinformation I've received from other Verizon stores. Very friendly and knowledgeable. More concerned with doing right by the customer than "making a sale". I came away with an education, a smile on my face, and $ still in my wallet! I took my 84 year old Mom whose iPhone 6 would no longer hold a charge. The employee "D" let her know that she had insurance and that a new phone would be sent to her home. Well as I clarified with "D" it's refurbished. Next came The un-needed cross sell...it would be a good idea for Mom to buy a case for her phone that incorporated a battery. "d" never asked anything about her needs or how she used her 2 year old phone. She never ever had an issue with battery life but "d" tried to take advantage of the age of my Mom and sell her something she absolutely did not need. Shame on you "d" and shame on Verizon for pushing you to cross sell a la Wells Fargo style. Let the Buyer Be Ware....should be printed under their signage. Be prepared when you go to the VERIZON store and Be ready to be taken advantage of unless you take someone with knowledge, like my 84 year old Mom did. The store was clean. read more
